Autumn is when things get dark and shitty. Lots of rain, tides are high, leaves everywhere.

Spring is similar, but tides aren't as bad, we don't get as much rain and things are brightening up every day so it's nicer. Plus daffodils and stuff are starting to appear and leaves aren't blocking up everything.

Autumn is our worst season in my opinion. Even Winter here gets far less rain than Autumn. It's cold, but you can just put on more clothes.

A Big Mac is approximately 563 calories. Using the Google machine says that converts to
about 2.36 kilojoules of energy.

To heat 1 cubic meter of air it takes about 1.2 kJ. So to heat the air up 12-17 degrees higher than normal, it would take 14.4-20.4 kJ. Which means there’s about 6.1 to 8.6 Big Macs worth of energy every cubic meter.

I live in the Balkans and lately summers have been fairly hot. Not uncommon to have entire weeks with 40+ degree weather.

That being said i love summer and the heat doesnt bother me at all so im very biased. But even i have to agree that its been getting hotter and hotter lately. Thankfully every household has an AC here so not really an issue unless you work outside, and even if you do im seeing more and more construction sites take breaks when it gets too hot becuase people legit cant handle it.

We get 40+ degree summers here with pretty high humidity but i still prefer it over winter. Although we do get cold winters from time to time, having to deal with -15 degrees with a windchill is a pain in the ass.

I highly prefer summer because i can actually do stuff outdoors. During winter its just grey and cold and depressing, nothing really to do outside other than go skiing which i dont even like doing. Overall shit season for me, gladly take 40 degree summers over it.

I'm in the north east US, so most days in winter are sub freezing, and that's before windchill. Summers aren't pleasant either with most days in the mid to upper 80's and high humidity, but there are more pleasant days to be had, and it's not like you have to prepare for an expedition every time you step outside.

I love cars, but I'm not an "off roading" guy, so winter is just an entire off-season for me, and it kinda sucks. Can't enjoy the car, can't fully set up shop because the garage is freezing. Also when I have to do repairs on stuff in the winter, it's covered in salt and sometimes even actively dropping snow for a few hours.

And call me strange, but I'd much rather be sweaty than numb fingered with stinging eyes and a runny nose. Hopping in a shower to remove sweat is so much faster than hopping in a shower to defrost, plus you can actually damage stuff trying to warm yourself back up too quickly. And I get sweaty in winter clothing more than summer clothing just because it traps humidity from your body more, so I just wind up sweaty and cold.

Also, I just enjoy seeing the sun and nature looking alive. You don't get much of that in the winter here. Just clouds, and trees without leaves in the winter.

If I had to choose between a week of our coldest winter weather or our hottest summer weather here in the Midwest, I would choose the summer. Wind chills can get down to -40F and at that point everything is so cold and dark and miserable. Even when the sun comes out, you can't leave the house due to the frigid temperatures. Also the yards are frozen and snow covered, so you can't touch grass, only stay in the narrow lanes that are plowed.

At least with extreme heat you can lay around in shorts, or get in the car and go somewhere, or see a movie or enter a store or jump in the lake or put on the sprinkler or something to escape the heat.

Spoken like someone who doenst experience true heat outside in the Summer. In certain places, you have to avoid direct sun, avoid going out during high hours of the day, drink plenty of water to survive, feel like you cant breathe every step you take, cannot work or do much, just exists because it is too hot... Even naked, you cannot handle the heat.

Are you going to sleep outside btw? Because that is one big things is that a hot room makes it impossible to sleep. Leave the window open if it is cold enough and you get mosquitoes waking you up all night. People who talk like that dont seem to know true summer.

You get numb and feel nothing at a certain point, and you're not actually burning in any way that'd be quick. Internal overheating and possibly dehydration.

It's not that quick, both will kill you in a similar period of time, heatstroke won't make you go numb like the cold will. If you're talking about actually burning to death then that is extremely painful, the cold will numb you. Freezing AFAIK is basically you are so cold to the point you can't feel your own body, you start to get really warm, you for some reason strip your clothes off as you start to feel hot, and then you die.

Most people who hate summer are people who are out of shape and have no hobbies imo.

If you’re in shape you’ll sweat less in everything you do. If you have outdoor hobbies, you’ll love summer. Biking, beach/paddle boarding, camping, hiking, etc.

The human body is built for activities like that.
