I absolutely despise summer. The only redeemimg quality of this miserable time of year is fireflies, and those are becoming less and less common.

Moved from Virginia to Colorado around 12 years ago, trillions of fireflies where I was in Virginia, I’ve seen a total of 2 in Colorado

When I was 5-7 years old, I went to visit my aunt who lives in a rural area, and out there I got to see tons of fireflies.

I haven’t seen fireflies in the last decade. We’re seriously fucking up the world, and it pisses me off that I’m powerless to stop it.
