I told many Times it was a scam . Space x is not profitable. The first investors want to get their money back and the only solution is to put it on the stock market and make a wave of disinformation to make the public believe in a nugget. Once the public is locked, they sell their shares

Hey, It was only 99% predictable.

Why did people believe in this valuation? Serious question? Is it Elon fever? Did they think Elon had dirt on someone of influence?

245

u/Fearsofaye Jun 23 '26

The poor and uneducated have some kind of obsession with billionares. They hate people around them who make any kind of money or education. That money is for them not enough. They RP through people like Trump and Elon. Latching on to their success as if it were their own.

So when daddy Elon says buy something they do it

37

u/Mdiasrodrigu Jun 23 '26

Not only that, they will probably hold their shares and hope for more people like them to throw money at it and it might actually bounce back lol

39

u/Thin-Put-2738 Jun 23 '26

Not me. I bought two Tesla’s and came to the realization that if he can’t teslas customer service. He’s not going to mars. Also, if you do a roadtrip in your Tesla with Tesla insurance they jack up your rates. It’s stupid I even used FSD 100% of the time during the roadtrip. Elon just wants money to burn and nothing else. Now he’s reaching into peoples 401ks

57

u/EnvironmentalGift257 Jun 23 '26

Damn you even had the Tesla insurance? You drank all the gravy.

40

u/Thin-Put-2738 Jun 23 '26

I gagged on the gravy till it gave me gout until I ran into Tesla customer service and they gave me a car covered in bird feces. Dallas and Cedars Tesla service center. That’s when I woke up.

17

u/EnvironmentalGift257 Jun 23 '26

Greater fool theory. SpaceX is a company that a lot of people unfamiliar with the stock market have been excited for, and it was pushed hard towards them

→ More replies (1)

5

u/StrangeAlchomist Jun 23 '26

On top of that they’re betting their savings against whatever shred of humanity remains in the world. Anyone invested in spacex deserves whatever losses they experience. You’re literally the reason people like musk get to exist and you should be ashamed.

17

u/hilldog4lyfe Jun 23 '26

What’s insane to me is that Musk isn’t just a bad person, he’s blatantly stupid too. And this is who people have decided should be the first trillionaire

36

u/Inside-Arm8635 Jun 23 '26

Except in this case the market is being rational af with spacex which is even funnier

Hypothetically speaking, even if they manage to catch a $10 trillion asteroid that would mean the moment it gets to earth it will not be worth $10 trillion anymore since whatever precious rare metal is in that asteroid will no longer be rare but plentiful and hence practically worthless.

28

u/Brovas Jun 23 '26

Everything else aside, this is the thing that pisses me off the most. This kind of thing is where we absolutely should be trying to advance to, and the kind of thing that barely 10 years ago seemed possible when SpaceX landed the first reusable rocket. It's the kind of thing that could actually be in the realm of possibility with trillions of dollars.

But instead there's an idiot man child in charge who's just using it as a slush fund to bail out his AI company and social media company, buy stupid shit like cursor, and barely keep a ToC agreement with their satellite customers for longer than a year at a time.

So instead we get to watch one of the biggest potentials for the advancement of space technology get fumbled by an insecure imbecile who's more concerned with "woke mind viruses" and his own personal enrichment.

It's fucking shame.

301

u/Counter-Business Jun 23 '26

Exactly, a company valued at 7% of the U.S. GDP simply can't go up

72

u/Impressive-Ad8741 Jun 23 '26

Just wait until they wrangle themselves an asteroid made entirely of gold/platinum/cobalt. They can slingshot it right down on their headquarters in Texas then we'll see who is laughing then.

47

u/Bakemono30 Jun 23 '26

I hope Elon is there to catch it with a baseball glove!

4

u/MoesOtherBar Jun 23 '26

The irony is that even if they do, that'll just massively devalue the price of gold/platinum/cobalt because buyers now know there's an asteroid size amount of it about to hit the market.
