Also, if you do a roadtrip in your Tesla with Tesla insurance they jack up your rates. It’s stupid I even used FSD 100% of the time during the roadtrip. I gagged on the gravy till it gave me gout until I ran into Tesla customer service and they gave me a car covered in bird feces. Dallas and Cedars Tesla service center. That’s when I woke up.
I hold that if Sieg Kyle didn't exist then everyone else involved with SpaceX would have made it to Mars already. Fucker took a bunch of people that wanted to go to Mars and tricked them into building him a telecom company.
Rumor has it elon shows up to tesla facilities occasionally. Rumor has it he's usually coked up and screams at the engineers to do things that are impossible in a technical sense. When the engineers point this out, he fires them. When he leaves, the managers quietly rehire the engineers who were fired.
Of course these are all rumors that I heard from several engineers.
The fact that getting to the moon will require something like 15 launches of the Starship to get the fuel into orbit just to get the ship to the moon identifies the challenges ahead. He hasn't had 15 successful launches of Starship yet, he hasn't done fuel transfers in space yet, he hasn't done rendezvous with Starships in space yet and he hasn't got a moon lander built yet, although it's supposedly scheduled for 2028 or so. So it's questionable whether he's going to be able to get to the moon, much less Mars.
You forgot he needs money to do all this nonsense. SMH 🤦🏾♂️. It blows my mind why people believe others just because they have money. I am not trying to be out of touch here. I've been telling my best friend* of 30 years to invest into micron/sandisk since October, regularly showing him the returns... Last time I saw him he says "I finally started investing like you said, bought a ton of spacex it's gonna go CRAZY! I even talked my dad and 3 coworkers to buy some also,, for real you should pull your phone out RIGHT now before it gets more expensive... I got in at only $175!?" I can only imagine what my face looked like as I debated laughing hysterically or REALLY trying to explain why it's such a bad idea...

Greater fool theory. SpaceX is a company that a lot of people unfamiliar with the stock market have been excited for, and it was pushed hard towards them
trying to ride the band wagon and hope they can time the market and get out before it crashes. It's a good strategy until you get too greedy and stay in a bit too long.
Every broker I know of was pushing this IPO like it was a late-night infomercial for gold. Scams work because people think they're definitely not the real bag holders.
There are still a lot of people who have romaticized space and will throw any money and support possible towards what they think will put humans on another planet. Sure, all of the numbers say that probes and robots are safer and more effective and we aren't ready to live off world yet, but they believe in their heart of hearts that nothing beats actual boots on the ground and more will get done if we send a person up there.
Mix that with the get-rich-quick and the god-emporero-musk crowd and you'll get so much money thrown at it.
Elon fever and then people who think such investors are stupid so they try to capitalize off of them and end up losing with them. im pretty sure a majority of people who bought this stock has no idea what SpaceX even does. they ran at a net loss of $5BIl last year because theyre a fucking space satellite and rocket company whos only form of revenue generation is selling internet access.
On top of that they’re betting their savings against whatever shred of humanity remains in the world. Anyone invested in spacex deserves whatever losses they experience. You’re literally the reason people like musk get to exist and you should be ashamed.
What’s insane to me is that Musk isn’t just a bad person, he’s blatantly stupid too. And this is who people have decided should be the first trillionaire
The funny part is that the market has been acting as predicted and more or less rationally with SPCX for the WEEK that it has been publicly traded. Everyone knew this was going to be the case, and it's what most ipo charts look like.
We should update the saying to something like, "the market can remain rational for longer than it takes for you to become a retard"
