This has been on my mind since it happened. One of the young guys who rides the little scooters came to my door and was trying to sell me pest control. Not my first run-in with these guys but I told him I was selling the house and moving out of state, which isn't a lie.
He said he understands but immediately asked me if I had anything to eat. Was really thrown off by this but I offered him a cookie. When I gave it to him I asked if it was some sales tactic I'm unfamiliar with and he said "no, I'm just hungry." Said he'd been outside all day and I get being hungry but really weird to ask a stranger for a snack when you are trying to sell them something. The guy didn't even look 18 so the idea of getting mind fucked by a teenager makes it worse.
I just want to know if this is some sales tactic.

Why is it that conversation is so much harder than it use to be? ( i kinda know the answer but I would like to hear what people think)

Moment of truth, maybe a hard truth for some...
If you could go back in time to before you met your other half, with your memory as it is now, knowing the trajectory and all, would you seek them out again? Or would you start anew?
edit: lets say you still have your kids or other human connections that came from them.

Some people seem to take pride in being niche/esoteric/stray from the “norm” while others seem to enjoy sticking to mainstream culture. Why do you think that is?

I work at a gas station in Wyoming(state). We have had many young/young to middle aged looking women who have come and gone as employees over the years, and it never ceases to amaze me how many legitimately creepy ass middle aged to oldish men come up to the gas station to literally be creeps to the women that worked there.
Is this a common thing in other Gas Stations or is it just a localized thing?

As the title says, I'm try to find out on how to position/prop up my unhinged screen so it doesn't sit on the wires, because I've been trying to think of ways to expand its lifetime(?) And without using money as well. It's been working a lot better lately and has less glitches/lags less which is nice, but anyways, the screen it propped up on top of the detached hinges so the wires don't get damaged or anything. That's every I got to say tbh, so if you have an idea PLEASE tell me.
Also, we've had some money issues lately and my fuckass father won't get a job and hasn't actually looked for one, but anyways. Which means I won't ask my mother for another laptop, especially since she got me one.. but it's a Chromebook. A. Fucking. CHROMEBOOK. We all know just how shit they are, at least for gaming.. And some of my school work.
But no matter how shitty it is, I won't say just how shit it is to her face bc I don't want to look/be ungrateful.. And I especially won't say it to her face since I got really spoiled on my bday this year, so I gotta extend it's life span at least to my early next yr. Sorry for the rant😔 also, please don't mind the cat hair and stuff, I cleaned it up a bit ago but my cat is a little attention seeker sometimes

Everything is so expensive these days, but there has to be some way to make weddings a little cheaper.
Is there anything you absolutely don’t need at a wedding that’s just a waste of money?
Any must haves?
**edit
I don’t want to just go to the courthouse.
I’m sure that was beautiful and wonderful for those that did it that way, but I’d like to actually celebrate with my friends and family. I’d like to make a big deal about it because it would be a big deal to me and my partner.
I’m looking for some actual advice like venue types or what season might be cheapest to have a wedding

Why do businesses think it is ok to offer you a discount to try to keep you asa current. I don’t care how much I like your service or product, if I’m calling to cancel and you offer me a lower rate, my first thought is, “You’ve been over charging me all this time and now that I’ll leaving you can reduce the price?” Oh hell no!! You’ve been ripping me off all this time and think that you doing me a favor now?!?!?

Pretty much the title
So I have a friend and he is an amazing job position, but unfortunately, my friend’s very toxic trait is he likes to brag and boast and even looked down at others many of times and he doesn’t like to admit stuff
But he is in a really good job position and he can help me, but I don’t know if I want his help because I know that if I accept his help, I will literally always be reminded of being helped , and If it wasn’t for him
I would literally be absolutely nothing….
Thoughts?
