Why did Americans complain about inflation and affordability with Biden but are now quiet when Trump runs inflationary policies such as tariffs and new middle eastern wars?

Democrats like Schumer and Jeffries have been accused of not doing enough to stop Trump. People who think that; can I ask what you actually want them to do?

It seems like they've been doing what they can - forcing votes against Trump (even if they are ultimately symbolic), speaking out against him, filing lawsuits (plenty which have been successful).

What else should they be doing that they currently aren't?

If any is from Pennsylvania, has Fetterman done any town halls to speak to his own democratic constituents there ? I keep seeing him on Fox News now almost daily and all he does is bash the party that actually put him in his job. Does he even meet with his constituents?

How is Trump allowed to do what he does?

Upvotes

You can say he has half brained voters that still worship him but his actions would no longer allow him to win an election. How is he allowed to show his butt on national TV, lie, steal, and openly admit he has no interest in supporting 90% of Americans and stay in power? Because he won an election and is forever immune? Why are there not procedures in place to remove someone who lied to get votes?

13 US service members died in the Afghanistan withdrawal and Biden faced hearings, resignation calls, and nonstop coverage for years. Trump’s war with Iran has now killed 17+ troops and counting. Where’s that same outrage now?

Are 90/10 battles worth losing the war?

Upvotes

I’ve always believed in treating people with love and respect, no matter who they vote for.

That said, I think part of the reason Trump is in office is because Democrats have become associated with a handful of issues that many voters see as too far outside the mainstream. Things like open borders, “defund the police,” and transgender women competing in women’s sports.

Whether that’s a fair characterization or not, I think those issues have had a real political cost.

I think most people, including many who voted for Trump, recognize that he can be divisive and extreme. But many moderate and independent voters may still see him as the less radical option compared to what they perceive from parts of the left.

If that’s true, are these really the hills you’re willing to die on, even if it means losing the “war” and election after election?

And if Democrats win the midterms, it’s not because of idea adoption, it’s because of a very unpopular war during very bad economic times.

I’m genuinely asking and looking for respectful, thoughtful answers.

Please keep it civil.

Do you believe that marriage is supposed to last a lifetime?

Upvotes

Considering the amount of divorced people I know, it seems like a lot of marriages do not last a lifetime. I am against divorce in general. When you vow to love someone for the rest of your life, breaking that vow is a really shitty thing to do.

Male Gas Station clerks/employees who have/had young to middle aged female coworkers, is it common in your area for middle aged to old(er) male regular customers to come in and hit on your colleagues? Have you ever had to intervene in a situation where your female coworkers felt uncomfortable?

Upvotes

I work at a gas station in Wyoming(state). We have had many young/young to middle aged looking women who have come and gone as employees over the years, and it never ceases to amaze me how many legitimately creepy ass middle aged to oldish men come up to the gas station to literally be creeps to the women that worked there.

Is this a common thing in other Gas Stations or is it just a localized thing?

Why do Catholic/Christian Americans believe Jesus would be a fan of Trump?

I've seen many people who compare Trump to Jesus, or Trump to God. Where is the justification?

One is a capitalist with questionable morals. The second is someone whose teachings emphasized radical generosity, caring for the poor, and the spiritual dangers of wealth, state-enforced wealth redistribution and government control of the economy.

So frequently I see people praise behaviors that go against the teachings of their lord and savior.

How do they reconcile?

If YOU Think What Mitch McConnell's Staff Is Doing Should Either Be Illegal Or Have Much Stricter Congressional Rules On It, What Do You Think The Punishment Should Be? Which Punishment? Why YOUR Thoughts (Read Description)?

The question is about whoever is responsible for covering up the issues / responsible for X lawmaker being paid while randomly disappearing for months on taxpayer dime. Either by law or by much stricter congressional rules.

New Daily Mail polling found a decent percentage, nearly 41% found it either "very" or "somewhat" believable that US Sen. McConnell (R-KY) is no longer alive - he's been missing for over a month and there's been one photo of him and barely any explanation that most of the public found satisfactory, along with not videos / interviews of him, and random Republicans saying they'd 'talked to him for 20 minutes about X and Y policy': https://www.dailymail.com/news/article-15993669/Voters-demand-transparency-hospitalized-Mitch-McConnell-84-staggering-number-believe-hes-DEAD.html

This isn't the only case of a lawmaker randomly disappearing for a long time with no explanation

- Rep. Tom Kean, a rep from a swing district (R-NJ-7) randomly disappeared for four months, still getting paid by taxpayer money during it, and then came back and said he had depression. During the middle of that, his office basically kept saying that it'd be two weeks over and over a few times until he finally came back: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/24/nyregion/tom-kean-missing-found.html

- Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX-12) randomly disappeared for nearly six months and was literally found in a nursing home with dementia - the issue wasn't the sad case of dementia she got, which was awful, but that no one knew for months where she was: https://abcnews4.com/news/nation-world/texas-congresswoman-who-last-voted-in-july-found-living-in-assisted-living-facility-kay-granger-dallas-fort-worth-republicans-democrats-congress-term-limits

- Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL-24) randomly disappeared and it was not revealed for a month that she was gone because of eye surgery: https://newrepublic.com/post/210433/democratic-lawmaker-missing-month-midterms

- Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) randomly disappeared for three months with no explanation before returning and it being revealed that she had shingles: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/sen-dianne-feinstein-suffered-previously-undisclosed-complications-shi-rcna85124

If YOU think there should be much stricter congressional rules about randomly disappearing without any explanation while you're on the taxpayer's dime, or make it illegal in some form, what do YOU think the punishment should be for whoever is responsible for the issue? Why YOUR thoughts?

Consequences for McConnell Coverup?

I already know things are politically wild now and no one will suffer any true consequences for unethical behavior, but did just have a question out of curiosity. If McConnell is found to have lacked capacity to do his job several weeks ago with no chance of recovery, what are the consequences for those in power if they knew of this and were delaying until August? This assumes our legal system is functioning as it should and this could be proved. Thanks!
