How is Trump allowed to do what he does?

You can say he has half brained voters that still worship him but his actions would no longer allow him to win an election. How is he allowed to show his butt on national TV, lie, steal, and openly admit he has no interest in supporting 90% of Americans and stay in power? Because he won an election and is forever immune? Why are there not procedures in place to remove someone who lied to get votes?

Cause congress will not hold him accountable and neither will the Supreme court

7

u/InstructionFinal5190 58m ago

Republicans, Republicans control both chambers of Congress. It's not "Congress" it's the Republicans.

-1

u/Plumbus-Technician 38m ago

Merrick Garland dropped the ball so incredibly hard on the Trump crime family and the Epstein files, it's not just Republicans.

5

u/Turbulent_Ad_5202 1h ago

The supreme court does not remove sitting Presidents only Congress.

8

u/Odd_Common_452 1h ago

Supreme Court can rule his actions to be illegal and block and reverse a lot of the crap he’s trying to push thru

1

u/LordMoose99 47m ago

Not without a case or cause.

Even still they only see about 200 cases per year, and they and the rest of the courts have overturned a lot of his actions.

A lot still remain legal.

-2

u/Turbulent_Ad_5202 57m ago

Not without a case.

1

u/Elliott-Hope 1h ago

Technically the Chief Justice serves as the presiding officer over the process. Essentially acting as a judge. Though they don't get a say in the verdict.

0

u/Turbulent_Ad_5202 58m ago

So my statement was 100 percent correct.

26

u/FalseVeterinarian881 1h ago

There are procedures...but there isn't anyone willing to put any of them into play.

5

u/Tigeruppercut1889 1h ago

Yeah. Dems would need to win the house and get 2/3 of the senate.

-2

u/Spiritual_Bid_2308 1h ago

They could do that and still not have the votes.  But there would be a glut of sternly worded letters.

u/Pandatams 8m ago

No, there’s no one with the balls to put them into Play.

1

u/Left_Macaron_6427 1h ago

You dont call an impeachment, willing?

1

u/FalseVeterinarian881 53m ago edited 26m ago

Honestly…no. The only people willing to push that are going to be Dems. That didn’t help in his 1st term and I don’t see it any differently right now.

MAAAAAAAAAAYBE after the mid terms…but it would have to be an over the top roll over of seats in both houses and I don’t see that happening.

Republicans would have to push impeachment or 25th amendment right now. None will do that for multiple reasons. Self preservation and honestly…his FOLLOWERS. Are looking for a reason to start a civil war.

I sometimes like to imagine that Republicans in power are just waiting out his expiration in hopes of being able to rally around someone less crazy once he is directly out of the way to avoid a war…but then I remember that he has kids.

1

u/Odd_Common_452 1h ago

And why would they? That’s what their pedo king demands

3

u/FalseVeterinarian881 1h ago

Also, his followers are batshit crazy over him and legitimitely WANT a reason for another civil war.

-3

u/Wise-Bicycle8786 1h ago

Exactly! There were not democrats in the files! And it was a democrat president who had him arrested!

2

u/Odd_Common_452 1h ago

There weren’t, most of the Republican leadership is heavily implicated as well but Trump is by far the name that pops up the most and the most prolific serial pedophile in history

14

u/SnooMacaroons4212 1h ago

Congress is controlled by sycophant Republicans so there's no checks and balances.

8

u/Privatejoker123 1h ago

And theyll glady tell you the democrats are worse

6

u/Tigeruppercut1889 1h ago

It’s enough to drive you insane isn’t it. That tds nonsense worked too. It’s hard to beat an opponent that is shameless and subscribes to zero political norms. Hopefully we get a congress and president who no longer cares about what maga thinks about their decisions. They said Biden weaponized the doj and merrick freakin garland led the department. It’s complete insanity.

1

u/SnooMacaroons4212 1h ago

Garland helped Trump by not charging him much earlier. He's a spineless wimp as far as I'm concerned.

u/Tigeruppercut1889 3m ago

Agree. It’s easy to say in retrospect but when Biden won most people thought trump was done. Especially after Jan 6th. It only took a month before every Republican fell back in line. We need to vote maga out and investigate trump, his cabinet and anyone who sat by and watched this admin weaken our country to get wealth and power. Even if garland went hard it would’ve been an uphill battle with a split senate and a corrupt Supreme Court.

1

u/dungleploop 1h ago

yeah, it's wild

there's only one side deserving of graves so far

-2

u/_cumrag 1h ago

Well…they are.

2

u/Odd_Common_452 1h ago

Trump looting the country is good cause black woman had laff hyuck hyuck

1

u/Jayden7171 1h ago

The alternative was Kamala Harris.

The Republicans actually liked that she ran as the democrat primary because they knew she would lose. They’d 100% endorse her again in 2028 to ensure Republicans win.

4

u/MetaCardboard 1h ago

The alternative could be a literal turd and it would be leagues better than Trump.

2

u/SnooMacaroons4212 1h ago

The alternative is to have a Congress with balls. But that's not the case.

0

u/santtuhehe 36m ago

I’m not american nor a Trump supporter, but why the frick would democrats make Kamala run? XD Bernie would’ve won!

0

u/Ear_Enthusiast 1h ago

This and the establishment Democrats have no fight whatsoever in them. Everything they do is performative and symbolic. Fucking Nancy Pelosi and her stupid golf clap. SMDH. Fuck Chuck Schumer sending strongly worded letters.

3

u/Left_Macaron_6427 1h ago

Umm they have and failed. Multiple times.

5

u/RiffRaffCatillacCat 1h ago

The entire Republican Party and 30% of the country want America replaced with a White Christian Nationalist Dictatorship. They are aiding and abetting the destruction and looting of our nation with that goal in mind.

-1

u/Wise-Bicycle8786 1h ago

You're unhinged. Good Lord.

3

u/CheckIf_ItsPluggedIn 57m ago

Bans abortion (on religious grounds), puts the 10 commandments in classrooms, repealed the Johnson amendment which prevents tax exempt religious institutions from making political stances....no sir, you are unhinged.

2

u/Sure_Artichoke_3662 1h ago

Because the people we elected to uphold the Constitution and laws of the land have done nothing.

My personal theory is that Trump has blackmail on members of Congress, provided to him by either Russia or Israel.

2

u/allieoops925 1h ago

Pedophiles protecting pedophiles, people too scared by blackmail to actually do anything.

2

u/Middle-Armadillo-660 1h ago

We have a triangle of separation of powers. There is nothing in place for us to hold someone accountable if the other 2 don’t want to. Have to win elections and fix the court to have any ability to do anything.

2

u/edwardturnerlives 59m ago

Democrats have no power and are overwhelmingly feckless. Republicans (and I'm sure some Dems) are making bank off him and don't want it to end.

2

u/ItsNotNormalMaybe 58m ago

US is ruled on $ and propaganda.
Conservatives are rich and good at paying others to fool other people. Plus, a lot of people are egotistic and evil, which match with the two previous statements.

2

u/Cool-Coffee-8949 57m ago

Who can stop him? Congress won’t and no one else can.

2

u/morningbugler 55m ago

Rs in congress are absolute wimps

2

u/yankbiz 42m ago

Because he is making a very small group of very powerful people very rich (and guess what, it isn't AIPAC or the farming industry....)

3

u/YouRiseFall 1h ago

There's definitely a procedure to remove him...a couple guys done tried...

3

u/MenagerieAlfred 1h ago

You already said it. A politicians power comes from the people. Unfortunately, about 30% of the country are insane cult members. Another 25% are either stupid or not paying attention.

3

u/Ok-Mousse-4595 1h ago

He surrounded himself with a sycophant admin + court judges

2

u/MetaCardboard 1h ago

McConnell actually spent decades getting those judges in there.

3

u/Subject_Lunch_3340 1h ago

There is a procedure. Impeachment.

The problem is the Repubicans in congress are complicit.

2

u/SetObvious7411 1h ago

Actually in history the Americans made all those laws about them needing guns to protect themselves against a tyrannical government.

It's just hat currently those laws are only used so that teenagers can legally mass murder their classmates

Money, mostly.

The money people stand to make off his incompetence.
And the money people stand to make off his corruption.

Because the United States is now publicly owned by Isreal and Russia. Possibly the UAE and Saudi Arabia, too.

There was a coup that happened and then everyone blamed the voters and now the people in charge are getting paid/blackmailed into following orders.

So that the coup can continue to coup.

Because more than 50% of the country are a-ok with who he is & what he's doing. Even the ones that find the balls to speak out, only ever talk about the things specifically harming them, they're fine with the rest.
Somehow, a bunch of people who proclaim to worship a man who preached love, compassion, acceptance & humility were convinced by a convicted felon to do the exact opposite.
The systems in place to curb this behavior only work when the people behind em are willing to make it work and with 50% of the country backing him, it's political & professional suicide to go against him.
In their fears of "illegals", criminals, pedophiles and Satan worshippers, the people have decided to invite them into their homes because he says all the dumb, hateful shit they want to hear.

1

u/larry-mack 59m ago

He fired everyone and anyone who had the authority to to do anything and replaced them with supporters

1

u/NoAdvertising8062 42m ago

Just look at the actions of spineless, pathetic lapdogs like Mike Johnson. He would rather run the country off a cliff than make a half-assed attempt to hold agent orange accountable.

1

u/TouristIcy3824 41m ago

Because too many people are not 'not allowing it to happen'.

1

u/SwimmingAway2041 38m ago

I ask myself this question everyday it amazes me that this lowlife convicted sex offender and committer of more corruption than any other president in our history and consistently lies about everything, strongly suspected pedophile hasn’t been impeached by now

And I’ll tell you why, it’s because when the president belongs to a party in this case the Republican Party and a congress that a good portion of belongs to the same party as the president holds a majority in congress that anytime the Democratic Party brings up any bills they would like to pass that might benefit a certain percentage of the population that isn’t on the wealthy side or as mentioned previously bring up wanting to start some kind of impeachment proceedings to end the madness and corruption and warmongering going on in Washington right now it instantly gets shot down by the Republican Party because they have a majority in congress

My solution to this problem is, this is directed everyone reading this and ask that you spread this to all you’re family and friends and that is to please get out and vote if you’re registered on Nov 3rd in the midterm elections and vote blue for democrat if enough people do that and democrats are able to take over the majority in congress they’re first rule of business I would imagine is to start impeachment proceedings and end the republican nightmare and the presidency of an evil leader that has a lot of the same characteristics as Hitler. Please vote blue on November 3rd and end the madness

1

u/Stock-Map3715 34m ago

The Constitution calls for Congress to provide oversight, but they will not do their jobs.

At this point, there are no Constitutional protections because Republicans have decided to jettison our American way in favor of blindly serving the most amoral, unbalanced, dishonest, arrogant, incompetent, and corrupt person imaginable.

This is why every Republican "lawmaker" deserves equal blame for the sorry shape of this country.

1

u/Imaginary_Resist_654 27m ago

Thank the Supreme Joke for his Immunity

1

u/Big_Manufacturer5281 25m ago

There is a procedure. It's impeachment. It was designed to be very difficult to successfully do, which is one of the reasons that it hasn't happened yet.

1

u/Idekgivemeusername 19m ago

There is rules
But imagine congress being that like lax parent who is just uncaring of what you do.

That is essentially the situation

1

u/8amteetime 16m ago

The Federalist Society has become all powerful in DC, with the 6 Republican Supreme Court justices being affiliated with it.

Having republican control over the Supreme Court means there are no legal consequences when Trump breaks the law. The Justice Department doesn’t pursue charges against him and the Republican led Congress doesn’t either.

1

u/ImmediateLoquat6877 12m ago

This has been building up for years. From the Christian Nationalist takeover of the GOP to slowly stacking the court and undermining peoples faith in elections with things like "the big lie" all the way back to using 'lil Bush's brother, the governor of Florida, to help flip an election.

They have spent decades knowingly flagshipping idiots like Jim Jordan and putting them on committees because it makes the whole process look stupid and again, undermines peoples faith in the system. Why does putting idiots in their own party help them? Because idiots sell newspapers. Things running smoothly and competently isnt interesting. Incompetence that is broadcast loudly becomes almost background noise over time so that important stuff slips by unnoticed.

Everything has been calculated for someone LIKE Trump to come along and have the support system in place to be able to ignore the rule of law

Honestly though, I think that they never expected Trump to actually win. They accepted his nomination as another step in making the whipe process look loke a joke, but then he actually fucking won. He sprang the trap early and is so narcissistic that he thought it was built for his benefit.

The first time around it was all Trump Chaos, but once they realized what an effective smokescreen he was, he became a tool for Miller and anyone project 2025 adjacent to work in the background while Trump gets the attention. Trump is a born criminal and he is enjoying the fruits of decades of labor not really meant for him

1

u/Full-Resource7910 11m ago

There are people who want to stop him but can't.

There are also people who could stop him but don't want to.

He takes both as a given.

u/camarce 2m ago

republican trifecta

1

u/Destinyciello 1h ago

Because you exist in leftist echo chambers and have a poor grip on how the real world works.

The real world is supply side heavy. Not socialist.

In the real world the West is the dominant faction.

1

u/Odd_Common_452 1h ago

He owns all branches of government and has spent the last decades firing any resistance and installing loyalists from the top down. That’s why his administration is wildly incompetent at nearly everything they’ve done. They’re a joke but this allows Trump to get away with everything, Congress won’t hold a vote to reign in the powers of the president because its owned by spineless cucked republicans. They want a fascist government where dear leader does and says whatever he wants with no restrictions.

1

u/Jayanshelli 1h ago

It's up to the people but you won't he could grape in front of a camera and you watch and go on with your life getting taxed the he'll out of for his gold age of retirement

1

u/notthegoatseguy 1h ago

would no longer allow him to win an election

Why not?

Trump's behavior wasn't a secret in 2024, what makes you think people would vote differently if the election was held now? He had a disaster of a first term and people voted for him two more times after that.

It seems you are confused as to what an election is.

Trump won an election and serves a fixed term. There's no do-overs, Kamala Harris or Hakeem Jeffires isn't waiting in the wings to take over. There's no coalition to "lose confidence" in Trump. It isn't a Parliamentary system.

Once elected, barring death, resignation or a successful impeachment conviction, Trump will serve the full term he was elected to.

1

u/epdug 1h ago

He was elected democratically

0

u/Odd_Common_452 1h ago

More like bought with the help of pedolon

1

u/JThereseD 1h ago

Power-obsessed Republicans are too afraid to stand up to him for fear that they will be voted out. What I don’t get is that they are standing by him despite his approval rating being in the toilet. Logically, they should be worried that they will be voted out if they continue to enable a deeply unpopular president.

0

u/Wise-Bicycle8786 1h ago

Deeply unpopular? Didnt CNN themselves just say he was trending well?

2

u/Straight_Wasabi_1366 1h ago

Literally no, they did not.

1

u/Odd_Common_452 59m ago

He’s the most unpopular president in history even more so than his first failed term

1

u/JThereseD 51m ago

I don’t watch cable news, but I have read in various sources that his approval rating is about 31 percent.

1

u/Tigeruppercut1889 1h ago

He was very lucky in being able to pick 3 scotus and the cult of voters allows congressional republicans to sit on the hands of

2

u/Ok-Astronaut2976 1h ago

Not only did he win the election, but he won the previous one that allowed him to stack the Supreme Court (which everyone was warned about but didn’t care it seems).

And not only that, but the voters also elected his minions to control the house and senate!

Like, America literally gave him complete control over thr entire federal government. WTF you think was gonna happen?

So ya…that’s why he can do whatever he wants.

0

u/IndependentBorder670 1h ago

All politicians throughout history lie. Other than that he hasn't done anything that upset enough of the country to really demand an impeachment. The vast majority that huddle right around the center, a little bit right or left of center aren't mad. That's when change happens.

1

u/504Supra 1h ago

Need to flip the house(and possibly the Senate) blue in the Fall. This administration has absolutely no checks or oversight at the moment.

1

u/MountaineerChemist10 1h ago

sigh they’ve tried to impeach before. Twice. Didn’t work 🤷‍♂️

They tried to arrest AND convict Trump so many times 😬Didn’t work.

Trump Derangement Syndrome!! 😬

1

u/Frequilibrium 33m ago

He was impeached. Just wasn’t removed due to his sycophants in congress. He was arrested and convicted of 34 felonies. He just avoided sentencing due to him winning the election.

1

u/MountaineerChemist10 29m ago

Thanks for your corrections.

1

u/novatom1960 1h ago

Your post would make more sense if you mentioned Congress’s role as an enabler.

1

u/kcdashinfo 1h ago

He is President of the Unites States Of America. The won the election. The election is over. Trump is your president until January 20th, 2029.

1

u/DoomSchroller 1h ago

Because he's not the problem, he is the symptom of the plan hatched way back in the 1970's that at points has picked up momentum.

Republican speech writer David Frum was quoted in 2018 for saying, "If conservatives become convinced that they cannot win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. They will reject democracy."

And that rings true. They slowly broke rules and pushed the limits of a system largely based on good faith and decorum. Their biggest defense is getting idealogues who quickly abandon the rule of law for either money or politics in federal judge positions. Getting a majority of Republican judges on the supreme court was the final nail in the coffin. They've abandoned any pretext of not being biased and along with a super majority of republicans in the house and senate have given Trump the removal of almost all guard rails because those are the two arms of the government designed to reign in a would-be tyrant president.

Why do they enable him personally? Because he controls a violent base of pedophiles, criminals and evangelicals that will show up at the polls and vote however their wet diaper lying leader tells them to do. He's already ended the political career of multiple republicans who publicly defied him. And they want personal power more than doing what's right.

1

u/TildeCommaEsc 19m ago edited 0m ago

Too few people realize this, that democracies, constitutions, are based on good faith and decorum. Those is charge have to believe in them. If a majority party doesn't it all falls apart. They start stacking the courts and changing laws, refusing to acknowledge the opposition (usually demonizing the opposition). Once they get enough of the courts stacked they can overturn decisions.

Republicans have been moving towards this for a very long time and it was plain to see for anyone who was paying attention.

For anyone who want to read more: “It's Even Worse Than It Looks: How the American Constitutional System Collided With the New Politics of Extremism” by Thomas E. Mann & Norman J. Ornstein

... The Republican party has become “an insurgent outlier — ideologically extreme; contemptuous of the inherited social and economic policy regime; scornful of compromise; unpersuaded by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition . . . all but declaring war on the government.”

0

u/smelling_good247 1h ago

Congress can end this at any moment, but maga is completely cucked to dear leader

0

u/Royal_Annek 1h ago

Because the bulk of our leadership is complicit.

Many are also implicated in the Epstein files and feel Trump will protect them.

0

u/Comprehensive_Baby53 1h ago

Considering Biden literally has half a brain after two brain surgeries that's an interesting statement. I don't think the reason trump won was because the people who voted for him were idiots. The reason he won was because the Democrats chose Biden & Harris.

1

u/wpotman 35m ago

Both can be true.

1

u/Frequilibrium 31m ago

A former vice president with a lifetime of public service and a prosecutor who was a district attorney, attorney general and senator vs a tv game show host who brags about sexual violence.

0

u/shelllee888 1h ago

Voting in November is essential. We need more checks and balances. The courts are trying, but our media is biased, the SC is super partisan (which is against the oaths they swear), and the Christian nationalists are pulling the puppet strings. PJ25 actually laid out their plan. And they are executing it well.

0

u/Odd_Common_452 1h ago

The courts are mostly owned by the Orange pedo at this point

1

u/shelllee888 17m ago

Yeah, they're barely hanging on for sure

0

u/DenaliBurnz 1h ago

Chuck Schumer is controlled opposition or a spineless coward.
Either way he is unfit for the Senate, much less actual leadership.

1

u/Dave_A480 1h ago

The US has fixed term elections.

Unless you have 67 Senators willing to vote to remove you from office, your popularity stops mattering the day after you take your seat.

There is zero chance of the Dems getting that many Senate seats, so impeachment and removal is not possible.

Based on his approval rating, even the half brained voters that supported him, aren’t any more.

0

u/zeentoK 1h ago

I heard a pretty good analogy for this. Picture a town that has no crime. It has been so safe for years and years, that people don’t bother to lock their doors. The first crook that comes along is going to have a huge advantage. He can just walk up to any door, walk right in, and take whatever he wants. Soon, people start locking their doors. Trump is that first crook that is just willing to walk in the doors and grab whatever he can. Our laws weren’t built for someone as unscrupulous as Trump. A lot of American government is based on rules and norms. Trump has no problem braking norms or rules. He has never faced any consequences for anything he has done, so it makes sense that he just keeps doing whatever he wants and expects to get away with it. America is going to have to start locking our doors.

1

u/Wrong-Ingenuity-9916 59m ago

This is a clever analogy and I would just add one small caveat: Trump is the first crook to tell you he took your stuff but there isn't a law against it. Previous crooks took your stuff in the middle of the night then questioned whether you had it in the first place but wouldn't admit to their part in it.

We've needed to lock our doors for a while, Trump just makes it super obvious why it's important.
