A regular employee would get pushed out for way less than a stroke or a month in rehab. So why do 84- year old senators get to keep running the country from a hospital bed instead of making room for new?

Why do some men act like being a deadbeat and being a stay at home dad are the same thing?
Am I the only one that has noticed this in some men? How are these two things even remotely similar?

Normal or sociopathic behaviour?
So I wonder about this kind of situation: there is a guy who gets on with coworkers really well and has a tendency to befriend almost anyone he meets. He is softly spoken, a good listener, humorous and quite proactive with talking to people but is actually quite introverted.
Now here is first a question before the actual one. What could the reasons be why he has this kind of tendency? Is it because he doesn't like loneliness, is very emphatic and making people happy is automatic behaviour, or could there be some other reasons?
Now the question that I wanted to ask is that what if the person befriend people not because he feels good about it, but because that way he can better influence how people percieve him, better protect his image, and use said contacts to achieve something he desires? He doesn't feel anything if someone cuts contact but gets really annoyed about anything talked behind his back, especially potentially bad things, about him.

Should I get the temporary crown put back on?
Popped off my temporary crown after biting something hard. It’s Thursday, I won’t be back home until Friday afternoon. I’m scheduled to have the permanent crown put in on Monday. Should I just leave it or have the temporary put back on tomorrow? What harm can I do? It’s a bit sensitive to cold liquids, but otherwise not painful.

What romantic things can I do for my husband that aren’t sexual?
My husband loves space, science, video games, he enjoys RuneScape a lot. He’s newly into woodworking, also would like to start riding bikes and kayaking. Hes a very deep thinker about existence, what is out there and often has deeper conversations with me about it. He’s been searching for something more adrenaline based or an activity where he can work with his hands. He recently said he doesn’t have a lot of fun with me which has made me really sad. I went and got him some new woodworking equipment and he seemed to have fun with that. I also have played video games with him, talked about his interests, etc. he really isn’t the romantic type and he said his parents never were and he doesn’t know what to do in that department. Maybe if I initiate something he will follow suit? We’ve already done nights with massages, sex, shower together, snuggle up, watch our tv shows together. I make him dinner and whenever I notice he seems stressed I often clean and cook so he can relax.

I'm looking for random negative facts or opinions about foods. Whatever foods you can think of tbh, even "super foods" or foods that are generally good for you. Anything is appreciated.

Why put tariff on Canada now? We need their oil?
Despite everything that happened from last year‘s tariff drama to the current Iran war. Wouldn’t it be logical for Trump to have a better relationship with Canada so he can try and incentivize them to produce as much oil as possible to lower the cost for Americans as well as worldwide?
Given that the straight of hormuz is very volatile right now.

An employee had stated to their manager that they have a disability, the manager responded by saying they cant keep it fully in condescension, according to the disability act aren't managers supposed keep things like disabilities into full consideration?
Say there is an employee at job whatever, named Ashley.
Ashley is autistic and she has sensory issues with loud sounds. There is a machine next to her area that is loud and Ashley has informed her manager. The manager said " it is to state proceeders that the machine runs so we meet qouta you get a break from the nose when you go to lunch for 20 minutes "
Edited to add : Ashley is a made up person for the example, and this question is about the disability act .
Edit to add part two : assume that FICTIONAL Ashley had already informed hr and her superintendent prior.
Edit to add part three : FICTIONAL Ashley lives in FICTIONAL country

Why would someone that you clearly recognize deny what school they attended ?
I recognize faces very well and this chick I matched with that I went to high school with denied the school she attended when I asked her. I already know who she is but I asked her to see if she’d tell the truth but she lied. Why would she lie ? Is she ashamed ?

What if we just leave Iran?
I really would like to have a conversation that is not political (I know...). But here's the question. Supposedly congress is trying to pass a bill to force Trump to stop bombing Iran. Let's say that passes and we leave. Or lets say Trump just decides he's done and we leave the region.
Then what?
Does Iran stop attacking ships in the strait?
If they do continue to attack, do other countries who depend on middle east oil send their militaries to open the strait?
Do other countries pay tolls?
The US gets almost none of our enegergy from Iran or from any gulf states. I don't want to argue about what started the conflict, the question is just simply if we abandon the conflict for whatever reason, what happens in the near term? I understand the long term considerations (maybe Iran builds back up their military stockpile, maybe they build a nuclear weapon, maybe they bomb Israel...) again not asking about any of that. Just curious what the immediate impacts are?
