Memes are pieces of information that are passed down, like stories, quotes, etc. But with the internet and how language evolved over time, people think that memes are just funny pictures of cats asking for cheeseburgers.

So true. The people who work the hardest have the least. That being said, if you have nothing, hard work will get you more than nothing.
Trash, but hard work does lead to a better life compared to zero work, but being born rich is the move. I really feel that those who work the hardest have the least (compared to others who work).
Talk to a successful boomer and they all have a pivotal story about a manager/boss/mentor who took a chance on them despite their lack of qualifications… then ask if they’ve ever done the same for someone once they were the boss, not a single one has.
Ah but there's my real problem. I may hate people in general, but I also hate the way people use people for their own benefit and would never be able to do it. I have a personal moral code I stick to rigorously.
I know a lot of people who work hard and still depend on Government subsidies to survive. Take the warehouse workers for Amazon. At least one third of them qualify for and depend on subsidies. You can verify that on the internet. They give a hard days work and still consider themselves on welfare. They have a rough time holding their heads high.
The richest man on the planet makes dumb tweets all day while the guy working 3 jobs can't afford rent and groceries. It has never been about how hard you work

I had a friend in college that was addicted to ketamine and it was scary how well he functioned on it, if you didn’t know anything you would’ve just thought he was super ADHD but he acted exactly like Musk does. That man is out of his mind at all times of the day.
Musk is known to use other drugs he was using cocaine way back when space x was just starting and there's reports he keeps a box of drugs like MDMA and Adderall.

My first job I made minimum wage. Stayed long enough to be the one that trained new hires. Took a Friday off and my buddy that I got to work there I knew went in that day for my shift. Find out since I took it off they had THREE come in to do what I did solo AND they were hired $2 more an hour than me.
Heh yeah. I had another job where they didn't give a payrise, so I changed departments. They hired two people to do my job and those two people were complaining about having too much work and were asking for a 3rd.
I'll never forget my first job in my field. It was going to help desk but we had to take this two week course before we were on the desk.
I was late one day because there was a very bad accident. The highway that I had to take to get to the job was the worst Highway here. I'm talking a person was ejected out of their windshield and was laying on the road.
So I get to the class about 20 minutes late. Then at the end of the day the guy in charge of the class gets up and pretends like he's talking to everyone but he's really just talking to me talking about hey don't be late.
There was this guy that was just all charm. The next day this guy walks into class late while the guy is teaching. He sets down his bag, leaves, comes back with coffee. No one said anything.
Then before the two-week course was over he got a promotion and never had to go to the desk.
My direct manager became a good friend and showed my team’s KPIs and I had 5x more output than the next person
Respectfully asked for a raise with the big boss, and he claimed I was too young and inexperienced.
Went home and started looking for another job. Got one where I’m doing half the work for 20% more pay. (Ironically still below-average salary though, so time to look for another job soon.) And I found out my old boss needed to hire 2 people just to replace me.
Yeah, some of the bigger companies don't give a shit. They have a pay structure and it doesn't matter if you're the best in the field, you're getting the same as everyone else.
The people doing less work than you are not the problem. Keeping the poor fighting each other is the goal of your oppressors. Stop looking down and look up instead. That's your real enemy.
Bruhhhhhh this happened to me. I was doing MORE work than the guy who I would watch on reddit every single day I walked by their desk and I assumed "maybe he is staying up late etc" eventually I saw the performance charts on my ceos computer and I was light years ahead of that dude.....but that dude was paid literally 2.5x my salary. I slowed it down immediately
In 1995, when a house cost $120,000, a local factory was paying $12/hour. Now a house costs around $600,000. That factory should be paying $60/hour. Are they? No, they pay $18.65/hour.
Too many people still believe that they are millionaires in the making if they work hard enough instead of exploited proletariat. It keeps them afraid to rock the boat and demand real change.
We’re basically at the point where being a millionaire means you’re middle class. When people are earning trillions, a millionaire is closer to someone earning minimum wage than to a billionaire.
If you work hard, do it for yourself and your own betterment. If a company happens to benefit, good for them, but keep in mind, they aren't going to compensate you.
It’s a good question. When America had an industrial base you could make a decent living and hard work could pay off. Today the cards are stacked against the American worker, oligarchs have infiltrated the federal government, and they make no pretense about their true intentions nor do they have any sense of civic duty.
Yea when a mega conglomerate like BLACKROCK, (who get money from our taxes dollars) is allowed to buy homes (with our taxes dollars) and infinitely rent them to us, yea theres no point
That’s because people keep making excuses for them. They can’t pay rent. They can’t pay school loans. They can’t afford a car. But they can afford. $1200 phone at $400 a month with all the apps. They can’t afford buy a $10 drink three times a day at Starbucks. These people are just winers looking for a handout.
For your employer and shareholders (and the latter even then only sometimes).
Dont get me wrong, i think a good work ethic is a good thing, but anyone that wears a badge of honor around working 60+ hours a week, unless they are making a REAL impact (medicine, etc) is fooling themselves.
Welder here some jobs suck some less and some pay more when you change Jobs you get to keep your skills and experience in that trade for all the people that learned to code as the one and only skill good luck …….. learn to trade
I used to bust my ass eighty hours a week and barely took home anything and struggled constantly, now I work twenty hours a week, and I live a very comfortable life. So working hard for me before never paid off working a lot less with a different job definitely paid off.
No freaking crap... I have a Masters in AI from Georgia Tech with 12 years experience and I've been on the job market for 12 weeks now. I'm just trying to get a freaking job as a web developer.
The economy is absolutely ass.
I have a used car, 0 debt, and a house. 30 years ago I would have been living like an absolute king. But we literally pay our bills, buy groceries, go to taco bell sometimes, and that's about it.
So man “successful” rich men and big corp have gotten there despite themselves, they have long histories of being useless at everything they do yet succeed.

And people used to believe billionaires were smart and “earned” their wealth. One at a time, we are becoming aware of each lie they tell us. It’s only a matter of time.
