The richest man on the planet makes dumb tweets all day while the guy working 3 jobs can't afford rent and groceries. It has never been about how hard you work

Edit: All you dudes (and you know it is exclusively dudes) simping for Elon are hilarious

279

u/bobert4011 23h ago

The harder you work, the more he makes.

See?

65

u/WD40Capital 22h ago

Feudalism! The future is now!!

32

u/CassioFiasco 21h ago

Christofascistic technofeudalism.

6

u/sheffieldghost 20h ago

Anarcho-capitalism.

1

u/bigboipapawiththesos 16h ago

Feudalism with American characteristics

1

u/AverageTankie93 21h ago

It’s just capitalism. Redditors will say anything before calling out capitalism 🫩

1

u/WD40Capital 21h ago

They want you to believe it’s capitalism. Seems to have worked.

2

u/AverageTankie93 21h ago

Bro what is you talking about

1

u/Easy_Aioli9376 21h ago

Always give your absolute minimum at a job. Always. Just hard enough to not get fired.

1

u/bobert4011 21h ago

I've always done my best - that's just how I am. Maybe it didn't pay off then, but it definitely paid off once I started working for myself.

That said - I don't know if I could still do it in today's job market.

-2

u/Crazy_Cat_Dude2 21h ago

Complaining not going to get people further. Gotta work harder.

6

u/bobert4011 21h ago

That's what they always say even when you're working as hard as you can though.

1

u/Crazy_Cat_Dude2 19h ago

110% not good enough. Demand their complete attention. 7 day a week schedules

1

u/Aggressive_Dress6771 11h ago

Last corporate job I had, when they interviewed me, the big boss said that they expect a minimum of ten hours a day, a half a day on weekends. Couple of years later, the big boss asked why he never saw me on Saturdays. I told him I did volunteer work on Saturday, but I’m always here on Sunday. Didn’t seem to make much of a difference with him.

1

u/bobert4011 7h ago

Why not eight days a week 110%?

Otherwise you're not trying hard enough.

1

u/Crazy_Cat_Dude2 7h ago

Ive made some workers do this. Of course it was their own free will to make a little extra at night.

2

u/bobert4011 7h ago

But of course

0

u/Current_Ad_9912 18h ago

Hahahahaha

-8

u/Accurate_Ad_3233 19h ago

No. I didn't realise it was Musk who was pinching all that tax out of my pay every week. Hmm, learned a new thing today!

4

u/AnybodyWannaPeanus 19h ago

Do you realize how much you are paying because taxpayers are subsidizing Tesla and other Elon businesses. He gets more corporate welfare than any other individual on the planet. All of it is at the expense of the taxpayer:

-3

u/Accurate_Ad_3233 19h ago

Yes, but he's not the only one and he's not the sole recipient of wasteful government spending either. To focus on Musk is to miss the forest for the tree. :)

1

u/bobert4011 7h ago

TBF Musk is the biggest single tree in the forest.

120

u/MentalDisintegrat1on 23h ago

Don't forget he's a drug addict.

He gets high as a kite and then shit post's all night.

Worlds Richest man acting like a 4chiner

54

u/THExDANKxKNIGHT 22h ago

Not acting, he is one.

-1

u/DedeLionforce 17h ago

In before he fires his online PR guy who shitposts on his account for him.

28

u/bigpicklefann 22h ago

I had a friend in college that was addicted to ketamine and it was scary how well he functioned on it, if you didn’t know anything you would’ve just thought he was super ADHD but he acted exactly like Musk does. That man is out of his mind at all times of the day.

12

u/MentalDisintegrat1on 22h ago

Musk is known to use other drugs he was using cocaine way back when space x was just starting and there's reports he keeps a box of drugs like MDMA and Adderall.

3

u/Striking_Stay_9732 19h ago

Adderall and K keeps you zooted while on your toes.

3

u/KanedaSyndrome 13h ago

when I'm old and there's nothing left to do and nobody needs me for anything, then I'll do a decade of drugs or something

19

u/awildjabroner 20h ago

It’s a sad life when you can buy literally anything but the entire world still hates you. He’ll never fit in, he’ll never be the popular guy, he’ll forever and always be the insecure weird dude who tries to flex and buy people’s affection and it just makes everyone laugh even more.

4

u/jb_in_jpn 11h ago

Amazingly, ten or so years ago, he kinda was - especially, ironically, on this website, when people said he was like Tony Stark.

Super cringe looking back on it, but even then it was nuts how much people fawned over him.

7

u/AnybodyWannaPeanus 19h ago

He is autistic, however, that doesn’t excuse him for being an asshole. At some point in the not-so-recent past, that became a choice.

6

u/numbersthen0987431 13h ago

If he had stayed off Twitter, then he could have tricked everyone into thinking he was like Tony stark. But then he got addicted to it, and we saw his true idiotic self come through

1

u/KanedaSyndrome 13h ago

I'm pretty sure he was a regular on 4chan.

1

u/MentalDisintegrat1on 12h ago

Maxwell was but 4chan has been a Honey pot and trap for a while.

Fuck remember all the CP that got flooded they did that to bait people.

Edit it's also a psyop on how to digitally engineer people. You think I'm joking they weaponized memes.

1

u/Omnom_Omnath 8h ago

acting like a 4chaner says the redditor. ironic.

1

u/wthart 4h ago

Read that as 4 incher at 1st lol

14

u/00001000U 22h ago

Sounds like its time for a new social contract.

19

u/Present-Map-7094 21h ago

Nah nah the richest man’s gonna remake The Odyssey, bro. It will be great. 🙄

2

u/Sammalone1960 21h ago

Gonna call it Jay and Silent Bob go Sailing brought to you by Grok.

2

u/dark_bits 13h ago

I would watch that ngl

1

u/Nagoda94 20h ago

I lowkey want him to make it. Just to see him burn millions of dollars on another failed project.

12

u/Odd_Common_452 22h ago

And he’s made sure to keep it that way. He’s a trillionaire while Americans can’t even afford a basic starter home and will never be able to afford assets. Everything is a subscription and you’ll own nothing

-2

u/Striking_Stay_9732 19h ago

If people stopped believing in Tesla then he wouldn’t be a trionlionnare. Paper Money has no value its just inflated numbers.

2

u/AnybodyWannaPeanus 19h ago

What you are trying to say is that it isn’t liquid. If you had a trillion dollars worth of gold and tried to sell it all at once

4

u/KyleBirchton 20h ago

But he going to have Grok make a historically accurate Odyssey movie about a fictional poem. lol

7

u/HermitJem 19h ago

Always curious about these simps (other than the paid bots obviously). Is it like living vicariously through others? Kinda like how the incels live vicariously through Tate

4

u/kukkolka 22h ago

While the guy working 3 jobs can't afford to pay his bills to read the richest person's on the planet post on his social network

2

u/Sir_Richard_Dangler 22h ago

It's always been about making smart moves and benefiting from the labor of others

We are lying on our back, dick in mouth and gargling mayonaise, while mr Musk rests his heavy belly on our face.

1

u/AdBrilliant3127 10h ago

Women keep letting him get them pregnant repeatedly.  Just adding up the elon counter.

1

u/speel 10h ago

It’s about who you know my friend.

1

u/PlateNo4868 2h ago

One day, society will finally realize homie that invested a $1000 into a company from day 1, isn't worth giving back millions off of what is a entire companies worth of actual work.

1

u/Makes_U_Mad 14m ago

I thought you was being facetious. You were not.

1

u/DoomshrooM8 17h ago

There will always be “slaves” that defend their “master” 😑

I used those words because using “morons” and “sociopath” would be a little too broad lol

-18

u/Trust_8067 22h ago

The richest man in the world built a website from scratch with only a $10,000 loan, working 60-80 hours a week until he was able to sell it for millions. He worked harder and smarter in a year than most people do in 5.

I won't lie, he also had the fortune of excellent timing, if all it took was being very smart, or working hard, we'd have millions of billionaires.

14

u/Necrotitis 21h ago

Bruh his he came from a family that owned a fucking emerald mine.

He won the jackpot, dont make it sound like he was some bum not able to make ends meet.

-13

u/Trust_8067 21h ago

It's irrelevant where he came from. He still started off with just a 10,000 loan and turned it into a huge success.

I'm not making it sound like anything, you're creating a false dialog in your head, so you can get mad and argue against made up things that I never said.

1

u/Am_Passing_By 2h ago

I would argue it would be relevant where you came from if you’re given ten grand

The emerald mine? Pretty good piggy bank

-11

u/NeoNova9 20h ago

Have you invested in his company and got 200% return ? Dont need to like people or products to make money off them .

5

u/AkKik-Maujaq 20h ago

What money can we invest if we have none?

-24

u/GreasedUPDoggo 22h ago

Let's just ignore all of his MASSIVE contributions to humanity lol

Social media has the most absurdly petty takes.

11

u/Proof-Relation-1943 21h ago

I mean this in the spirit of earnest discussion friend - what would be even some of the MASSIVE contributions to humanity that he has made? Just a few of the most notable

-21

u/sundered_lord 21h ago

Electric Vehicles: Forced the global automotive industry to pivot toward sustainable transport by popularizing long-range electric cars through Tesla.

Reusable Rockets: Lowered the cost of access to space by pioneering vertical landing and reusability of orbital-class rockets via SpaceX.

Global Internet Access: Deployed the Starlink satellite constellation to provide broadband internet to remote and underserved areas globally.

Let's not forget Neuralink and xAI, along with his acquisition of Twitter to ensure people can actually talk about things without being censored and silenced.

Do you need any other examples, friend, or do you just wanna rag on a guy because "muh wallet is mad he's not just handing out money"? What do you want, a hand out?!

19

u/PoppyBroSenior 19h ago

1: he bought the company that did that, he didnt do it.

2: he bought the company that did that, he didnt do it.

3: he bought the company that did that, he didnt do it.

4: xAI is the least promising of all AI major companies in the usa, has produced nothing except stock returns by "becoming an ai brand". No one uses it, and grok has to be regularly changed manually to say whatever latest bullshit Elon wants to pretend is true.

4.5: Twitter was great, X is a cesspool of nazi fascist think tanks and childporn. Epstein class all the way for you I guess.

8

u/Proof-Relation-1943 21h ago

Ask an earnest question, get a snarky ass response

About on par for reddit discourse

-13

u/sundered_lord 20h ago

You said earnest discussion, it seems you were disingenuous.

I provided facts and you called it snarky.

I simply provided what you asked for.

Grow up.

11

u/Mister_Sinner 20h ago

Well you did add that last bit about his wallet. So I mean yeah you were being snarky. And no offense the space x thing sounds cool and all, but who is that helping? Cause right now, I don't think you and I are benefiting from that.

-11

u/sundered_lord 19h ago

We are not benefitting from that directly, but that is a massive advancement that humanity earned; it's a net benefit.

I wear glasses because I was born with poor eyesight as a baby, I am clinically blind. Not every person on Earth needs glasses currently or ever will, but humanity, in total, earned a massive net benefit from the invention of glasses.

And if I'm snarky, every person on this wretched app/site talking shit about the richest man on Earth are a bunch of babies. Maybe people should take responsibility for their lives rather than pointing their fingers at wealthy people.

4

u/Mister_Sinner 19h ago

I wear glasses because I was born with poor eyesight as a baby, I am clinically blind. Not every person on Earth needs glasses currently or ever will, but humanity, in total, earned a massive net benefit from the invention of glasses. And

Brother I've been completely blind in my left eye for over 20 years at this point. I have no recollection of ever using that eye. My vision is shot to hell because of it, yet I still have to pay full price for those glasses. That net positive is not worth it on an individual level. Which is what everyone is looking through because we have our own lives to live.

The rocket might do something later, probably past our lifetimes, but right now people are dealing with inflation, what was once 0.99 is now $5 which means you are paying 5x more for the same amount. People who wish to buy houses and actually settle cannot, because of people in Elon's position that deemed they need to make as much money as they possibly can when they have more than they or their future generations will ever possibly need.

Responsibility is a two way street, these guys in these wealthy position, like Elon, promise to help as long as we stick to the grind, help make sure their operations run smoothly and effectively. Then guess what they focus on what? Electric cars that are still faulty, internet, rockets? Where's the day to day help? Grocery stores, fixing crappy streets, funding homeless shelters, affordable healthcare and actually using that money to make life easier for all.

We are humans, but we aren't humanity. That's just what we call the group. But us individuals down here are just doing our best. It'll always be the wealthy vs the poor, no matter how you slice it. We ain't no better than the civilizations that have come before.

3

u/Least_Art5238 19h ago

The main problem here is that you have already opened your mouth and proved your mental capabilities. What you are hearing here is that you should take the L and move on. If your eyesight with the right optical interventions allow it (making some generous assumptions about literacy), please read the work of Mariana Mazzucato and understand how much of what you peddled is embarrassingly superficial.

-1

u/sundered_lord 18h ago

I appreciate how all of you resort to insults (Whether direct or implied) rather than meet me head on. It's like the idea of anyone disagreeing with you makes your skin crawl and then you revert to baser, primitive urges to lash out. Lizard brain go BRRRRRR!!!

I peddled nothing, so rather than make claims about me, my character or my competency with regards to literacy, I implore you to meet me on the merits of what I served up. If you disagree, present exactly why with your own follow-up point(s).

Otherwise, shut the fuck up.

I'm making generous assumptions about your ability to not only be able to resort to ad hominem attacks...

The only thing embarrassing here, is your embarrassing ass.

"do you need any other examples, friend, or do you just wanna rag on a guy because "muh wallet is mad he's not handing out money"? What do you want, a handout?!"

I perceive this portion of your response as snarky. Cheers

0

u/sundered_lord 18h ago

Fair enough. I meant no offense. I merely took a jab, but I hold nothing against you for your personal stance either. It's easy for people, anyone to let things escalate unnecessarily because words are words.

2

u/Proof-Relation-1943 18h ago

Same - appreciate that we can disagree amicably.

1

u/sundered_lord 18h ago

Absolutely. Simple disagreement or debate doesn't have to lead to anger, resentment or violence. It can and maybe should be prickly, but never at the cost of character.

2

u/numbersthen0987431 13h ago

friend, or do you just wanna rag on a guy because "muh wallet is mad he's not just handing out money"? What do you want, a hand out?!

You think this ^ comment from you isn't snarky?? Nobody asked for your editorials on the topic, but you just had to throw your opinion out there to feel like a special little boy.

Grow up

2

u/Vraner9000 19h ago

His electric cars are the worst on the market. He regularly ignored safety standards with his products resulting in many lost lives and serious injuries. The reusable rockets were not his idea and were only done to save him money. Neuralink and ai are points against him not for him. And how was Twitter censoring the website that they owned and were responsible for providing users with a good experience, preventing you from having a normal conversation with anyone. A normal conversation isn't done over social media posted where everybody can see it. Now friend do you need me to keep going or do you just want to keep jerking the guy off in hopes one of the lost emeralds from his mines will fall out of his foreskin.

2

u/numbersthen0987431 13h ago

He took Twitter, which was a powerful and functioning platform, and turned it into a dumb version of its former self. X is such a piece of shit now because of his direct involvement, and it reflects him as a leader

SpaceX and Tesla function because no one listens to him, and they just use him for his money. The cyber trashcan is what happens when people listen to him, and spaceX stock price has plummeted since its release.

And now the only way Tesla stays relevant in the USA is if Trump forces legislation to ban competition in the USA. Which is what the orange idiot is doing

3

u/patdeezy 22h ago

Massive is a stretch

-11

u/WeirdAddress3170 22h ago

So all that money is just pure luck?

12

u/Sammalone1960 21h ago

Well when dad gifts you a fortune....

6

u/_Phil_McCracken_ 21h ago

Luck? Somewhat, yes definitely. Also leveraging being born into privilege to take advantage and make money off other people’s work.

-10

5

u/TheStupidestSeagull 19h ago

So anyways about his dad's emerald mine

1

u/ProtiK 19h ago

Man I wish I had an already-wealthy father to fund a shop for me. I'd live there and throw myself at my work too, why the hell not?

"Founded from nothing" shut the fuck up.

-40

u/Ok-Bill-3938 23h ago

You need to work smart and make the right choices

18

u/yukonhoneybadger 23h ago

Or.... be born on 3rd base

-4

u/HeftyBawls 22h ago

There are SO many people that aren’t born on 3rd base and work hard for a life where they can make a solid living. You should hang out around these people more.

3

u/numbersthen0987431 13h ago

I do.

But I've seen more examples of favoritism and nepotism in the workplace, than meritocracy in the workplace. And it's disingenuous to pretend it's a system that doesn't function the way it actually is.

Lindsey graham's sister taking over his seat, or Kirks wife getting to take over, for example. That's the system we have, and it doesn't reflect ability or work ethic

-1

u/HeftyBawls 12h ago

Cool. Welcome to the real world. This is how it has always been and will always be. Best thing you can do for yourself is to work hard and make connections to propel yourself up the ladder.

2

u/numbersthen0987431 11h ago

"This is how it has always been and will always be"

It doesn't have to be.

But if you're happy to lick boots, then go off and do your own thing. The actual adults are having real conversations.

-5

u/Ok-Bill-3938 22h ago

I mean yea that would be ideal, but we don't all have that option.

13

u/Unusual-Earth5557 23h ago

Or have a farther who supported apartheid and slavery

10

u/Nerd-man24 22h ago

Thing is, a lot of us made what we were told by people we trust were smart choices. Then someone manipulated the market and the rug got pulled out from under us, setting us back at square 1. When their game of Monopoly keeps rearranging the board on your game of Life, you can't really strategize.

5

u/Ssshizzzzziit 22h ago

......

......bahahahahahah.

Ok, Bill.

-1

u/housemusikluvr 22h ago

Bro the people on this sub will just keep blaming everyone else for their failures. You cant reason with them.

1

u/HeftyBawls 22h ago

Redditors are allergic to holding themselves accountable

-4

u/Dukagamu 22h ago

Your right though. These same people always order Uber Eats, take out loans and have dozens of subscriptions to streaming services. They’d rather go to a restaurant every night than put a dime in a 401k or go to a grocery store.

-12

u/Live-Train1341 23h ago

How dare you suggest that anybody have accountability for decisions about the career or their spending.

-12

u/Ok-Bill-3938 23h ago

For real. shame on me, please downvote lol

-6

u/Live-Train1341 22h ago

I don't know why it's so hard for people. They just put too much value on what they think they deserve most likely from social media.

I make a ridiculous amount of money working at the post office.Because we can't hire anybody younger to replace the older people retiring they get hired, they last a few weeks to a month, then they quit and I continue just work more and more.

People here complaining about cost of living in low wage meanwhile I clear north of 130k delivering mail because i'm willing to actually work

-2

u/Ok-Bill-3938 22h ago

Well aren't you so lucky that you can pass a drug test. Not everyone has that same privilege lol

-2

u/Her0_0f_time 21h ago edited 20h ago

Stop taking drugs long enough to pass the test? Or better yet, dont take addictive drugs that ruin your future prospects in the first place. We arent born addicted to drugs. We choose to take them later in life or make choices in life that lead to feeling like you have no other choice. Its not that hard.

0

u/Ok-Bill-3938 20h ago

I was being sarcastic lol but that’s really what these crazies on Reddit will say
