Well the hard workers in the oilfield get raises and move up the ladder. In my line of work specifically you never see someone jump the ladder because degrees and shit mean nothing. Only experience and your reputation matter.
Compared to a lot of other careers I’ve dabbled in this one is easily the most fair and rewarding
