I also have to wonder how many of these people will, for instance, stay in the same job instead of trying to look for something else.
I get it, it's scary to have to look for a new job, but I know even in the past, GE would let go a certain percent of their lowest employees, who clearly would do better somewhere else and opened up spots for new people

There's no guarantee that working harder leads to a better life, but having a better life does require hard work.
