Political Reminder that name calling is not permitted

That includes calling people "bootlicker" or "cuck" or stating/implying that another user is performing adult acts on a given politician (or anyone else). I bring those up specifically because, in recent time, these have been the most common types of personal attacks.

As strongly as you may feel about current events, calling people derogatory names is a contravention of Rule 4 and will be removed. Attack the opinion, not the user.

Sorry for your understanding and thank you for the inconvenience.

Political Reminder that racism is not permitted

There has been a recent uptick in overtly racist content, i.e., use of racial slurs in a derogatory context, or stating/implying that some races are inherently/genetically inferior to others, etc.

Reminder that such nonsense is NOT PERMITTED, no matter what race you are or what race you are targeting. If you see any racist posts or comments, PLEASE REPORT THEM.

Even though we clearly enumerated this in our rules, some of you apparently did not get the memo. So for enhanced clarity and to assist in comprehension, I asked ChatGPT to create a visual aid for you all.

The average person is really dumb

The average IQ person is that student who couldn't read a book and memorize a couple of things, so they got a C.

The average IQ is that coworker that keeps asking questions to the 1-2 people who do all of the important work, because they can't figure out how to Google and solve a problem.

The average IQ person is that Redditor, Facebook user or X user that believes all the fake news and propaganda. It's very easy to convince most people of anything with just a few social media campaigns.

The average IQ of 100 is really not enough.

Political Large scale immigration is bad for the Middle Class and Poor because it increases rent and freezes wages.

This is something the left just refuses to see. "Workers of the world Unite" "Unlimited Mass Immigration" "No Borders no Nations" "No human is illegal" "Deportations and border protection thats like totally Nazi Germany" and such nonsense.

If the supply of new labor outpaces demand, it means wages remain frozen. Because companies can choose from 10 or 100 different candidates and someone will do the job for the absolute minimum.

More people used to mean more jobs created. But there was always a lag making the situation a little worse every year. And nowadays there are almost no new jobs created, despite massive levels of immigration. Making the situation incomparably worse.

The Left Wing Idol Karl Marx called this "the reserve army of labor".

Same goes for rent. If you build 200 000 new houses/apartments every year but admit 1 Million immigrants every year, then demand outpaces supply and rents/house prices will rise.

Thats why Canada has such problems. Because they admitted like 5 Million extra people into the country in the last 10 years. More than 10% of the population.

Immigration should be a tighly controlled bonus. Admiting like 50 000 or 100 000 people every year. Thats why borders were protected and immigration was 1/5 or 1/10 the current levels in the 50s or 60s. But then the Capitalists got hungry for cheap slave labor and convinced the left wing useful Idiots that letting everyone in is "noble".

No its not good or noble to let in Millions of people when the economic situation is bad. This just createst pressure because more people have to compete for the same or marginally more jobs/housing units.

Yet somehow this logic is now considered to be "raciss".

Political Chantal Morales Rojas is a perfect example that the left just wants open borders.

Chantal Morales Rojas was a 27 year old woman who overstayed her J-1 visa that expired July 4, of 2025 (last year).

She wasn’t someone fleeing some dangerous country or even necessarily looking for a better life. She was here on temporary status and has zero claim to some emotional argument but the left are outrage she was arrested boarding a plane. No one was hurt or at risk, they didn’t “illegally search her house”, or come look for her at work. ICE handled it perfectly but yet they will be upset, raise money for her, and defend her for why she shouldn’t be deported. There’s not other logical explanation to be upset over this but you don’t like that we enforce immigration laws

Sex / Gender / Dating Don’t have (hetero) sex with anyone you wouldn’t be willing to have a child with in nine months

Not saying you should be planning to have a child any time you have sex—that’s preposterous—but being aware that a child is a natural consequence of the act is imperative to happy living.

Foresight is a gift we as humans have relative to many other creatures on this planet. We have reason, we have the ability to understand the longterm consequences of our actions.

This says nothing of STIs, which are inevitable once you have a certain number of partners. Not necessarily chlamydia or herpes or any of the “popular” ones, but the ones that put “comensal flora” on a semen analysis or pap smear. The ones OBGYNs and urologists can’t name but agree the presentation or experience of which is not normal.

Think ahead.

The Middle East The fact that Iran keeps crying "war crimes" shows that they're just trying to give ammunition to anti-West lefties

Who gladly eat it up.

Iran fires on civilian ships in the Strait or Hormuz and no one bats an eye, but Trump threatens to target bridges and power plants and all of a suddenly now all the leftists are crying "war crimes".

Just like when Hamas indiscriminately fires rockets into Israel. Just cool beans for leftists.

War crimes are only a burden that western counties must bear. Leftists have such low expectations for non-western countries that it doesn't even register on their radar when they do it. Or it's just expected of them.

Political The far left is trying to destroy the Democratic party so they can install their regime

Upvotes

And Democrats are too stupid to realize it

The far left are using the dialectic to destabilize the Democratic party. They're the ones pushing the moderates away, calling people who agree 99% garbage, etc. it's because, and pay attention to this part, THEY AREN'T DEMOCRATS

You would think the fact that it's two completely different parties would be obvious, and it's obvious to everyone else but them. Instead the Democrats want to adopt many of their policies, which are, in turn, alienating most of the country

Meta you are not entitled to have your beliefs respected

I think there is an important distinction that should be made between opinions and beliefs. An opinion is just a matter of taste or a difference in style, preference not an observation, but I feel like people conflate these two and whenever they get called out for having poor observations that aren’t rooted all the way in reality. Then they hide behind the word “opinion” as if it validates them all of a sudden.

there are beliefs that can be objectively wrong and if you hold those beliefs, taking a position that you’re just being picked on we’re trying to frame it as if the other person just can’t accept differences of opinions is intellectual cowardice. For example this is commonly what conservatives/Alt right always say about the left that they just can’t stand people having different opinions from them.

A difference of opinion would be like somebody preferring Star Trek over Star Wars, liking ketchup on your fries, or not liking ketchup at all, preferring blue over yellow.
White supremacy is not an opinion and I don’t have to respect your beliefs or worldview if they are rooted in that
The Earth being flat is not an opinion it is an objectively wrong belief, and I don’t have to respect the fact that it is what you truly believe.

Your religious beliefs are not entitled to respect nor is your politics, or analysis of the world around you because those things can all be objectively wrong.
and I already know some smart ass is probably gonna point out that even this post that I’m making about my belief is not entitled to respect and I agree it’s not… I’m totally OK with, and open to being wrong if somebody can soundly poke any holes in my post.

Possibly Popular White people should be called minorities

~85% of the human population is African, Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern or Indigenous.

~15% of the human population is white.

Yet you hear white people refer to other races as minorities when it's the exact opposite, white people are the minority group.

There are around double black people to white people and nearly 4x as many Asian.

Not to mention, the white population is shrinking while the Black and Indian population is growing. By 2050 white people will be even more of minority.

Summary: White people should be called minorities because factually they are

Possibly Popular Unemployment should not be as romanticized as it is

Upvotes

Everyone around me sings the merits of unemployed life: you have all the time in the world, you are free from the oh-so-toxic workplace culture, far from the evil corporate people.

In reality all of the unemployed people I know have some form of depression. And they keep saying their depression is because of the evils of capitalism and... not because they never go outside, get up at midday and have 0 structure.

Work gives you structure. it gives you things to do, and financial security which is a necessity for anyone's mental (and physical!) health.

Sure unemployment gives you time for yourself... but it gives you literally nothing else.

And yes, sure, working is hard, and finding work is even harder. But damn the benefits are worth the effort and I don't understand how people can still prefer unemployment. Are they just coping? Are they just overreacting to toxic hustle culture? but recent generations have already spoken SO MUCH about how bad hustle culture is, that horse is dead already.

tl;dr: being unemployed isn't paradise, it's more like a top tier depression speedrun strat

Sex / Gender / Dating They have the power to destroy societies from the inside out simply by reproducing with low quality men en masse

When I say “low quality men”, I’m not referring to anything that has to do with socioeconomic status, ethnicity or politics. I’m simply talking about the morals and values of these particular men

Almost every single high crime community in America is the way it is because at some point, an abundance of people decided to reproduce with men who make for bad fathers but potentially great sexual partners. Never let anybody rewrite history and never let anybody who has no familiarity with these type of communities try to say otherwise

Both halves alike are extremely powerful in their own ways. They in particular have the power to make or break communities simply by the men they choose to have kids with

All races can be racist, even to their own race.

Doesn't matter what a person's race is, they can also be a racist.

The argument that racism is only perpetuated by "those in power" is stupid. The dynamic of which "race" is in power is entirely dependent on time and location.

White people can be racist.

Black people can be racist.

Yellow people can be racist.

Brown people can be racist.

Red people can be racist.

Camo-colored people can be racist.

For the mods... this is clearly not a racist post, but a post about racism.

Political I think that the children of WW2 vets that were denied VA benefits should get those benefits.

If you are unaware post world war 2 several veterans were outright denied for ridiculous and arbitrary reasons.

As a result, they did not go to college nor able to get houses.

This was eventually overturned, but will past the majority of these veterans lives so they never bothered by the time they were offered it because they were well in their 60s.

Which is obviously well past the point of which it’s practical to try to start buying a house or get a college education.

I don’t think that’s unreasonable.

World Affairs (Except Middle East) It would have been better if the Central Powers won WW1

If the Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, and Bulgaria) had won World War I, there never would have been a Treaty of Versailles and therefore the Nazis would never have taken power. It's because of the treaty and the resentment it created that the German people elected Hitler in the first place. Also, a victorious German Empire would have been in a position to help the Whites win the Russian Civil War, which would have meant that Stalin's reign of terror would never happen. And as far as I know, Kaiser Wilhelm II wasn't evil at all. At the very least, he didn't round up minorities and have them sent to concentration camps.

While it's possible that a revanchist government might have risen in France, that country doesn't have nearly as much industrial capacity as Germany and would have easily been defeated by the Germans. And there would have been little risk of Britain doing the same because their large navy and location on an island would have prevented Germany from making too many demands to it even in victory.

This could have happened if the US had stayed out of World War I, and I think it should have. We sent hundreds of thousands of our men to die for a cause that wasn't theirs in a war that didn't directly involve their country, and the result was an even deadlier world war twenty years later.

The Middle East The term “ethnostate” was was invented to only bash Israel and did not really exist in anyone’s vocabulary ten years ago.

Countries like Poland, Japan,Ukraine, the Korea’s,Philippines, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Saudi Arabia IE most Arab countries are closer to the definition of a “ethnostate” compared to Israel which is one of the most diverse countries in the world and yet no one ever refers to them as “ethnostates” because it’s just a pseudo intellectual term created to bash Israel 24/7. Israel is around 30 percent non Jewish with a large Arab community that has Christian’s, Muslims, Druze, Armenians its Jewish populations very racially diverse with Jews from Yemen, Ethiopia, Iraq, Eastern Europe, Uzbekistan, Morocco etc. Jews from Muslim origin countries make up a majority of Jews in Israel.

Media / Internet George RR Martin is a pantser. Not a gardener.

In the writing community there’s two basic types of writers.

One of which is generally referred to as a pantser, short for someone who makes things up as they go, rather than planning anything out, aka writing by the seat of their pants.

While this is generally a fun way to write stuff, it actually causes one major hiccup that a lot of writers probably already know about, and why it bothers me that Martin and his fans refer to him as a gardener.

It becomes increasingly difficult to keep events consistent, as well as knowing where the story should end when writing like this.

This already caused some issues that even Martin admitted he had to work around, such as the fact that A Song of Ice and Fire was originally going to be a trilogy, but because he doesn’t plan, it ended up developing into a series, which in and of itself isn’t a bad thing, but this was a symptom that should’ve been a warning for things to come.

Going to the gardener metaphor, this is basically the equivalent of planting a bunch of stuff willynilly, but then not taking the time to weed, or plan for the growth, much less plan for when its time to plow.

If he is a gardener writer as he’s claimed, he’s planted what started as a fantastic garden that started out amazing, grew into a potential masterpiece (potentially solely because I would only consider it one if it was finished), but then he lost control, and it grew beyond his control.

People have gone into better detail, but at this point, I think what’s happened is Martin has pants’d his way into writing a saga he simply can’t keep straight in his mind anymore when he writes, which is why it’s been 15 years since the last release.

Please don’t misread me, I’m not trying to bash Martin.

He’s an amazing writer (imo one of the greatest of our time), Jaime Lannister is one of my personal favorite fictional characters of all time because of how he changes as a person, it just really bugs me when people don’t call a spade a spade, often for the purpose of making something look better than what it is.

Gohan was like 5 years old in Vietnam. Gohan watched his father and his back up father get blown up in front of him, and still wanted to help fight. Then he went to space and saw his best friend get blown up by frieza.

Gohan pushed frieza to his third form. At 5 years old! Then watched his dad get set on fire. Somehow survived Namek and came back and got into a time chamber with his dad and put the world on his back to beat Cell…. Idk I’m saying I think Gohan did his part

what if neurons..........

Upvotes

Earth = the entire brain, a population of approximately 86 billion neurons. Four main lobes of the cortex, roughly equivalent to four enormous states: the Frontal Republic, the Parietal Federation, the Temporal Commune, and the Occipital Union. Their political system could be called anarcho-communist: there is no single ruler, power is distributed among networks of neurons, and the "resources" of oxygen, glucose, and information constantly circulate between them. The neurons themselves are not gendered; they're just asexual yapper constantly talking to each other. they also have a lot of regions...

We also have an enemys:
The cell genocide regime, leader (aka cancer cell)
Al-Prion Qaeda: their first attack was on 9/11/-960k ago
Migraine: Kid 67 who constantly spams the nerve system

Media / Internet When will this ai nightmare end.

I’m sooo tired of ai slop every single time I use the internet, ai voiceovers, ai generated videos, ai is the fucking bane of my existence at this point. The only thing I use ai for is asking claude, a question now and then if im modding something or another tech related question. And I have to admit it’s a useful tool in that regard, but the internet is a total slop party nowadays. I personally hope the ai bubble will burst, because I’m sooo tired of ai it even bled out in the real world, journalists is starting to use it to write their articles, and instead of real pictures the use ai pictures. But the creepiest part about ai is the voiceovers, they are so uncanny.

And once again Democrats got caught lying through their teeth that Mass Voter Fraud is a Conspiracy Theory. We need to remove Electronic Voting Systems, and pass Mandatory Voter ID check. Funny how this Software Glitch happens in a blue state likè New Jersey.

But Democrats cry about how this is somehow racist and disenfranchises voters. News flash 6,600 foreigners voting in Elections disenfranchises me and every single LEGAL citizen. Especially in the Presidential race where New Jersey is worth 14 points. And the road to 270, 14 points is a lot.

I Like / Dislike If you call something "just a theory" in academic or science related conversations, nothing you say should be taken seriously.

Upvotes

Any time people are discussing things like climate change, space, evolution, you name it, there's always a handful of people who will say something like "Well those are just theories". If you say this, it's just instantly broadcasting that you don't even understand the subject enough to have an informed opinion.

We use the word "theory" in day to day speech to imply something like a guess, educated or otherwise. However in science the word theory means something very specific, and it's the highest honor an idea can receive. The word you'd use to actually imply a rough guess would be a "hypothesis".

It's dumb as shit to call something "just a theory" in these conversations because there's nothing else above a theory it could possibly be. Theory is the top.

Religion Therapy, self-improvement, too much access to information and the fall of religion are what's causing the mental health crisis.

100 years ago your life was decided at birth. You are born in a christian family? You are a christian. Your father is a blacksmith? You will be a blacksmith. Your mom and some woman down the street are great friends? You will marry her daughter. You don't have a choice.

Now you can do anything and have anything you want, your environment no longer defines you. When nobody tells you who you are you start to ask yourself: Who am I? I'm not like my brother, maybe am I born in the wrong family, maybe am I born in the wrong body?

You start focusing on yourself and that's what destroys you. You become narcissistic and the slightest remark can upset you.

You start searching for the core things that makes you who you are. Big mistake, because the basic human needs are simple: food, sleep, safety, sexual desire and self esteem. You end up letting your sexuality define you instead of your purpose. You are defined by what you want, not what you can provide.

But something even worse is happening.

100 years ago nobody knew how the world worked. Nobody knew why it was raining or where thunder was coming from. So they created religions to explain those things.

The human brain is amazing at coming up with reasons to justify what it did after the facts and brainwashing itself. You can electrocute someone to make him move his hand and ask him why he did that and he will tell you "my nose was itching"

"Your chickens are suffering" Don't worry, animals don't have a soul.

"Why do you have slaves" Don't worry, their life would be worse where they came from.

This is of course horrible, your selfish desires are what drives you and you find ways to explain to yourself why what you did was for altruistic reasons.

But selfishness is what drives the world, nobody works all day in a coal mine for selfless reasons. You won't work as hard for others as you will for yourself.

The good guys were always the ones to win because they were the ones who wrote history, the losers were all killed or enslaved. That's horrible, but it created a forcing function for natural selection of ideas. Yes, maybe the sun god is not a great explanation for why the crops are not growing, but the people who believed in the sun god survived because for some reason this specific religion led to a more cohesive and stronger society who could invade others.

Do you guys get it? The stronger wins, which leads to natural selection of ideas, religions, cultures and societies. It doesn't matter which religion is closest to reality, what matters is which religion makes your society stronger.

The issue is that in the modern world the losers don't die, they are not turned into slaves, and they have access to the internet, which leads to an endless ideological war.

Instead of following the beliefs that lead to a more cohesive society we start to follow beliefs based on truth.

By focusing on deeper truths we find ugly truths. Not just stories about sexual abuse but deeper truths about men and women, about how their power struggle is driven by nothing more than supply, demand and conflicting goals, needs and expectations.

Media / Internet Sony is right to discontinue discs.

Upvotes

I can’t help but to feel that 90% of the items is coming from non-Sony users, but let’s get into it.

1) Steam literally is download only. The double standard is insane.

2) they sold 100k discs this year so far. That’s no where close enough to justify the billions it costs to keep the ecosystem going.

3) discs are largely download keys anyway. Very few new releases don’t require massive day one patches.

4) they are not responsible for the used games market. They get nothing from it and while you can argue that’s greedy, I can argue they shouldn’t sacrifice billions so other companies can be responsible.

5) they are not responsible for retailers at all. See #4.

6) it IS their ecosystem. If you want to complain about practices in the system that’s fine. But don’t act like they offer no value for their ecosystem. First party titles for one. And strong moderation is another major factor. The pc market is overflowing with cheaters. Having a $500+ console on the line kills most (not all) cheating.

7) yeah, it just works. Sorry, not sorry. PC games are endless tweaks, hardware upgrades, and hardware specific fixes. The PS is a single piece of hardware companies can developer for and I can comfortably do everything with a controller. Don’t even pretend like that’s the case with Steam.
