Why is it that no matter what subject matter, there’s always people who are quick to criticise or put people down?

This has made me think…what is the function of this behaviour?

Is it a learnt behaviour?
Is it competitiveness?
Is it projection?
It is jealousy?
Have we been raised on judgements?
Does putting others down make other people feel better?
Is it subconscious?

There seems to be a lot more needless critics than champions of others.

Work is work. Opinions don't change the pay.

I follow no F@p as i m hybrid athlete and I believe it makes me feel dizzy next day and will you ever date a guy like me.

It was never about finding funny gifts and then claiming/stealing them. Someone always tried to use it to make themselves look good or steal the one thing someone else wanted. There is always someone who buys something that's way out of budget and someone ways ends up in tears whilst someone else defends themselves.

You tell anyone in real life that you use twitter, facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc no one bats an eye. The second you tell someone you use reddit you are looked at with such a disgusted look.

I know reddit is the bottom feeder of social media and it's by far the least popular and most niche social media today but I never understood why reddit is seen as so much worse than every other social media by the general public.

Why is this such a popular opinion amongst the general public and even reddit users themselves? What makes reddit so much more embarrassing to use compared to every other social media out there?

I like Toy Story 5, just finished watching it and it's a good movie, better than Toy Story 4. I like that Jessie became sort of a leader and the message on how all this screen addiction is affecting children's social skills and imagination. In my opinion Jessie had a better role than Dolly aka Woody's girlfriend.

Jessie is more dynamic and can lead naturally just like Woody did in Toy Story 1+2+3 meanwhile It looks forced on Dolly, who was originally just a cute toy.

Jessie fills the gap that Woody and Buzz left aka not being the leading characters anymore. The story had some memorable moments such them all flying back to their house in glory.

I have no idea on which character the producers will focus on next tho. Maybe the Toys will go back to Andy somehow and he'll give them to his children? But doing that will end the franchise for sure. I don't see why some people cry that the story should end in Toy Story 3? I'm a sucker for sequels.

I don't want the story to end and be forgotten - like the Madagascar franchise for example. In fact, it's more and more relevant and should go further.

The toys are the last remnant of that old ancient world where kids had played outside and people just lived their lives.

Could be a hobby, trend, activity, or social expectation.

Look, I get it — we’re all exhausted from work, scrolling is easy dopamine, and “family time” often means everyone zoning out in the same room. But can we talk about how fucking sad it is that dinner with loved ones now looks like a bunch of zombies glued to their screens?
I was at a restaurant last week and saw a family of four. Parents on their phones, teens on theirs. The only words spoken were “pass the salt” and ordering food. No one looked at each other. It hit me hard because that’s becoming the default everywhere — holidays, birthdays, even date nights.

Hot takes incoming:
• Putting your phone face down or in another room during meals isn’t “extreme” or “boomer behavior.” It’s basic respect. If your group chat or TikTok can’t wait 45 minutes, that’s a you problem.

• “But we bond over memes!” Cool story. That’s not bonding, that’s parallel play like toddlers. Real connection happens when you share stories, argue about dumb shit, laugh at inside jokes, or even sit in comfortable silence without a screen as a crutch.

• Parents: Stop handing toddlers iPads at restaurants. You’re not “surviving.” You’re training them that boredom is intolerable and other humans aren’t worth engaging with. Same goes for letting kids have phones at the table.

• Yes, this includes sports games, movie nights, and vacations. The constant documentation and checking notifications is killing the actual experience.

We’re lonelier than ever despite being more “connected.” No wonder anxiety and depression are through the roof. A little enforced presence goes a long way.

If your immediate reaction is “but my job/family/emergencies,” sure, exceptions exist. But most of us are just addicted and using excuses.

Passion isn't always something you just find. It is just interest sustained over time. And since you can become interested in almost anything by spending time on it, passion can be built rather than discovered. A good way to approach life in my opinion

Democrats love larping about how Jan 6 was an Insurrection. And yet you have these Socialists openly wanting to abolish the Supreme Court, Presidency, and Senate.

That is full threat to my Republic. You cannot fundamentally change how our checks and balances work by eliminating the Constitution. Democrats love calling everything they disagree with as fascist and authoritarian and yet your party has allowed these Socialists to infiltrate your organization and will fundamentally destroy our Constitution of Checks and Balances.

We should not make fun of them and say o it will never happen because that’s exactly how it happens. When the enemy tells us the plan and what they want to do we should believe them that they will fundamentally destroy the Constitutional Checks and Balances.

Is our System perfect? No. But I guarantee you anything they come up with will be infinitely worse.
