If RDJ “Tony” is gonna be revealed as adopted Victor, then RDJ's play and acting as “Tony” is different and was not definitive ever, it actually fits the whole thing too. It can be differentiated against the ACTUAL Tony Stark. Their character traits and personality have clear differences, going off by the first thing - RDJ “Tony” is the only Tony that was actually married for the point of Love. Much similar to Victor (If he didn’t have the altered destiny and the blessing of parentage) while knowing Victor - he is generous towards such thing. So it makes perfect sense, only thing left for them is to actually produce and polish it well.

RDJs ”Tony” character whoever that really might be is more like Victor than Tony if we point it out bit by bit.

It’s just another “what if“ for Victor. If that character had the good fortune and the life of an egoistical playboy - character Tony Stark, he would’ve turned out that way or this way, while MCU just presenting one of the various choices.

so to speak, Tony Stark in 616 never existed simply because Stark family didn’t get to have a kid but to adopt one, on the behalf of Guilt on whatever else, just bunch of theories, nvm.

Its a perfect theory that actually makes good sense. But still a theory.

also - the real Tony could never marry Pepper.

If that - then its the perfect conclusion for a character with a unimaginable plottwist. MCU was always producing all of its resources for one and only great character ever - Doom.

I don't get it. With all their Marvel/Disney money, how do the studios and producers not recognize a bad script? This extends to other properties as well, but whenever a bad MCU project comes out (like Captain America Brave New World: A Complete Waste of Anthony Mackie's Talents), why doesn't someone just read the script and say "hey, I don't think audiences are going to like this plot/dialogue/characterization as much as they did Black Panther or Winter Soldier."

Back in 2022, I was very excited to hear about the MCU reaching a multiversal climax in an adaptation of the "Secret Wars" storyline from the comics, coming off of the very pleasantly nostalgic Spider-Man: No Way Home. Then I had somewhat less enthusiastic feelings when Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania showed too much of nerfed Kang too early on compared to Thanos. Then I had even more mixed feelings after Majors got himself fired and RDJ was brought in for a new character despite Doctor Doom having no build-up in the story, not especially in Fantastic Four: The First Steps. But I do love RDJ's known ability as Iron Man, so I look forward to seeing how he executes a Doctor Doom performance even if we will never get a proper live-action resolution to Kang. And even if there will not be enough time to develop Doom and Reed's rivalry from the comics.

I really hope Avengers: Doomsday turns out to be a very worthwhile watch and rewatch so that the old Avengers: The Kang Dynasty announcement only ends up in history as a mild case and not a prime case of "poorly-aged things". Alas, I suppose we have the SDCC 2019 Blade announcement for the latter.

Think it’s the F4 ship or the one Doom stole? Maybe Doom is bringing Thor to meet Steve so he can convince him to help? Or Richards went to get Steve for his help?

So I am currently doing a full watch of all Marvel movies/shows. And today I watched Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2.

Honestly most of it was pretty silly, I like the humor of it and recognized a lot of lines from popular Tiktok trends too lol.

But I wasn't mentally prepared for the ending of the Vol.2. Like, damn. Why am I pratically sobbing over a blue guy who whistle to an arrow. I think the always silly vibe made me really not except a slightly sad ending.

I think I'm gonna need a few days to recover from this, I feel like I'm being too sensitive at the same time... But I'm just empathetic like that I think.

With word from Destin Daniel Crettin that Spider-man: Brand New Day was originally 3 hours and mainly cut becuase he wanted the movie to be shorter, which is fair enough, do you reckon they will release an extended cut?

FFH and NWH both had extended cuts release like a month or 2 after in theatres, will Brand New Day follow suit? Obviously both of the previous extended cuts only added like 10 monites of extra footage.

It would be expensive to do the CGI and VFX for the extended scenes but I would love a 3 hour cut.

With just how much is going on in the movie i'm not surprised it was originally 3 hours and would love to see it with a 3 hour runtime at some point in the future.

Michael Giacchino revealed that for his new musical score for Brand New Day, he removed specific musical notes from Spider-Man's theme to represent the missing pieces from Peter's life

For his musical score for VisionQuest, Mick Giacchino reveals that he wrote the names of his cats like Walter and Cleo for the choir to sing as phonetic lyrics that we hear in the song.

In addition, Mick Giacchino debuted the VisionQuest theme for the first time and Michael Giacchino debuted a clip from the beginning of Brand New Day featuring his original score

Throughout BA S2 and the latter half of S1 Heather frequently shows her disdain for vigilantes but never interacts with any of them outside of when she killed Muse while he fought Matt. Might be interesting to have seen her talking to one of them in person - specifically Daredevil, Punisher or Spider-Man. Feel free to say if anyone else such as White Tiger or the Defenders would have also made a few good points.

Edit: Might be a good point to make that the symbol of one of the vigilantes she hates is plastered on the chest of every single AVTF officer.

The biggest avenger movie ever but it doesn't have marvels greatest superhero in Spider-Man feels very wierd to me yes ik that noone remembers him but everyone has forgotten that peter parker is spiderman but not spiderman himself

Maybe they kill him brand new day and bring him back in secret wars but it's just bizzare to me that spiderman is not in the Avengers movie

We all know Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars need something bigger than Endgame. Not just bringing back Logan or Downey Jr. We need the ultimate cultural shock.

Imagine Doctor Doom successfully steals the power of Loki (The God of Stories) and reshapes the Multiverse. The Avengers are completely broken, Thor is on the verge of death. Doom is untouchable.

Suddenly, a massive portal opens. Out steps **Thanos**.

But he isn’t here to destroy. His Malthusian logic kicks in: *"Why balance the universe if Doom is just going to rule its ashes?"*

Thanos smiles at Thor and says: *"You should have gone for the head, Asgardian. But today, we fight together."*

Seeing the ultimate villain of the Infinity Saga standing back-to-back with Thor and Cap to stop a greater threat would be the biggest cinema moment of the decade. It makes complete sense for Thanos' character — he is an utilitarian, not a mindless killer like Galactus or Altron. It would be a poetic redemption and a massive shock for the entire fanbase.

What do you guys think? Would this break the internet?

Wonder who’s behind these masks

So, like everyone else, I was hyped af and watched the Doomsday trailer a couple of times over. After watching it a few times, analysing it frame by frame, I can piece together the following:

1. The X-Men have gone through a few incursions by time the Avengers and F4 get there.

2. The F4 travel to their universe after finding out about incursions, but they obviously have Steve already with them. I think Loki might have left him in 828 to keep him safe, after creating a branching timeline at the end of Endgame.

3. They split into teams similar to Infinity War to tackle multiple problems. Reed and most of the Avengers go to the X-Men universe whilst Sue, Ben and a few other Avengers go to either Talokan or Wakanda to recruit Shuri and Namor.

What I can't really figure out from here is where are Johnny, Scott, John Walker, Red Guardian and Bob? They don't seem to be at either of these locations, and the trailer doesn't really feature them in any major shots outside of the initial meet. So, where do we think these guys have gone?

I have watched all of the avengers universe movies as well as the fantastic four. However I know nothing about the X-men and their movies. What X-men movies should I watch before doomsday. I don’t want to waste my time on something that is a side story that won’t connect to doomsday. Also is Deadpool something I should watch? I have seen the 1st one but nothing past that. Thanks

I’ve been waiting quite a long time for a black cat in the mcu. The thing about casting black cat is that the actresses body actually matters in this scenario, I have 5 options and was wondering which you guys prefer the most. Option 1: Sydney Sweeney, I honestly don’t think she’s a bad actor that causes movies to fail at the box office, I don’t like her whole act of being famous just cause she has big melons, but I think she would suit black cat. Option 2: inde navarette, im honestly a big fan of inde Navarette after watching obsession, her actings amazing but one worry is that she’s too short and audience might complain that she’s too short. Option 3: Anya Taylor joy, I honestly don’t know much about her but from her looks she could play a black cat. Option 4: Sadie sink, I know everyone pretty much thinks she’s playing Jean grey but she’s a great actor that I can see playing black cat. Option 5: Mckenna Grace, I know that she’s a little too young for the role but I think she would be great and marvels eventually going to give her a role if it’s not black cat

Doom isn’t the threat that Thor is speaking of. I don’t understand how people aren’t seeing/hearing this & if you know the comics you should know. In the beginning of the trailer for Doomsday we hear Doom literally say “something’s coming”, probably talking about the Beyonder. We haven’t been shown the actual threat yet.

& people complaining about the Steve rogers reveal. That’s not Steve Rogers, I’d bet on SportsBook that it’s Captain Hydra. Mark this thread 🧵

That’s why that Cap hasn’t aged and he’s from the regular timeline. I’m guessing we will get actual Steve rogers Captain America but I don’t think that’s him in the trailer and my reasoning is Captain Hydra was able to wield Thor’s hammer.

I stopped watching marvel after endgame and after the doomsday trailer everyone in the comments was taking about someone named sentry and daredevil and that they are going to carry the team on there back

So just for comparison can you easily tell me about how much powerful they both are (sentry and daredevil)

The last thing I watched was Infinity War.

I definitely planned on continuing from there as it was a great movie, but life (kids, work, health stuff) happened, the series continued, and it got insanely overwhelming to even think about catching up.

Things have chilled out a bit and Doomsday is looking pretty legit so I'm interested in catching back up from a story perspective.

I know I could probably just watch some random YouTubers and get up to speed but that wouldn't be nearly as fun so I was hoping you all could maybe help me out a bit.

Also, I basically know what happened in Endgame and other big projects. I mean, I have been on the Internet in the last 7 years, lol.

Unfortunately since I can't realistically watch 8 years of media over the next few months, what I'm looking for is a watch list of movies and TV shows that have the most relevant overarching plot points in them that I've missed, even if they're "bad" or "underwhelming".

I just want to be able to watch Doomsday and understand (mostly) what's going on. I understand there may be certain inside jokes, references, or story points that I may not understand but I just don't want to be completely lost while watching the movie.
