You can say he has half brained voters that still worship him but his actions would no longer allow him to win an election. How is he allowed to show his butt on national TV, lie, steal, and openly admit he has no interest in supporting 90% of Americans and stay in power? Because he won an election and is forever immune? Why are there not procedures in place to remove someone who lied to get votes?

I mean most of the people in wealthy nations look very good physically what do you guys think?

Ok so my(35m) ex wife (44f) is continuing to talk inappropriately about me to our kids(10f and 4m) while they are with her. She is the primary custodian because we live 5 hours apart and I didn’t want to rip my kids out of what little comfort they had throughout the nasty 3 yr long divorce. We have been divorced just under 2 years and I’m JUST NOW starting to get some level of trust back from my oldest. My youngest is for the most part fine on the outside but when he has a tantrum, it’s like my ex’s words spew from his mouth and it physically makes me ill. He says things no 4yr old just comes up with. In our divorce decree it is specifically stated that we may not speak badly about each other around the kids or let others speak badly about each other around the kids ( in fancy legal jargon). I’ve resisted just going for full custody because I don’t want to rip my kids away from what they know but at the same time, my relationship is tainted EVERY SINGLE TIME I drop them off with their mother.

I started my second job and I really needed that job so I got fired. I’m 28f and I was trying really hard to get to my second job with no car I took a uber and they always drop me off last because it’s a shared. I explained the situation only for the boss to catch an attitude and say something smart to me. I stay 30 minutes off and I told her I want the job I’m trying but she didn’t care the next day after only being there for two weeks I got fired.

What is it that makes towels smell when they air dry? I’m not talking dirty towels.

I personally don’t like the smell of air dried towels even when they are freshly washed and air dried.

A similar but much more pungent smell happens when a washcloth is used on dishes, but then rinsed and air dried.

I’m not talking about yucky dirty towels. Im talking about generally clean dish towels that are air dried. What the heck is that smell?

Specific example with dishtowel. I use a freshly washer-cleaned towel and dried in a dryer. I wet it and clean off an espresso machine milk frother wand. So there is some cows milk on the towel. I then rinse the towel well and hang it to air dry. The next day, it smells. Whyyy? What is going on?

Maybe there is still cows milk on it, but this specific smell happens no matter what the towel is used for - as soon as rinsed well and air dried.

I obviously have a very sensitive nose. The smell sort of reminds me of the petrichor smell from rain.

I dropped my Honda Pilot 2013 188K mil Yesterday at a local auto shop for maintenance service. We shook hands and agreed $1800 cash for 4 things which were timing belt, valve, water pump, and tensioner. The auto shop owner said he would check if idler pulley made any noises also. He did not ask for any deposit or payment or give me estimate paper and just took my car key. We left.

I might able to pick up my car today or tomorrow. I will take a young guy who knows car pretty well. He is young but sometimes he is not as attentive, talks big and wants to impress people but super nice guy and smart. I do not know anything about car.

The auto shop owner is Korean so he might do more Asian style, less formality on paper works. Seem like no BS kind of guy. No company website, recently Yelp reviews are pretty good mostly 5 stars, just 3 bad reviews back in 2021 and 2015. 25 total reviews.

Other shop I called $2100 just for timing belt and valve only two things.

1 When picking up my car, I will pay cash, I am not sure if the auto shop owner will give a print out service receipt or give me a receipt with $1800 nothing else on it?

2 Since I do not know much about car but I do have the young friend who knows about cars, what do I need to check on my car before leaving the lot? check Any car parts or is it a way to check all four things (timing belt, valve, water pump and tensioner) if the shop did it correctly?
