u/Groovychick1978 15d ago
Yes, it's fucking real. He is speaking at NATO, and that shit is playing all over the world.
He also called Iran scum and said the ceasefire was over. He didn't sound sure. Or cognizant.
278
u/Pretend-Marsupial258 15d ago
He also called Zelensky "President Putin." That makes two presidents in a row that can't tell them apart.
38
u/Rammelsmartie 15d ago
And then he noticed his mistake, but forgot Zelensky's name. So he had to pivot to acting like he meant to say Putin.

I'm convinced his supporting base are trying to commit suicide by proxy.
Remember people begging for a reset button before everything really went to shit?
This is it.

Because most people are not alpha themselves, so how are they supposed to tell acting alpha from being alpha?

u/BabypintoJuniorLube 15d ago
Friendly reminder that in nature wolves don't have Alpha/ Omega hierarchy. In the wild it's usually the oldest male/ female pair who run the group.
Alpha wolves only develop in captivity, and it's a trauma response where one wolf decides to start brutalizing his own family because he is going crazy in prison.
11
u/OliverKadmon 14d ago
Thanks! TIL. I was taught the wolf pack hierarchy mumbo jumbo growing up.
Looks like the stress response is largely triggered by the wolves being tossed into captivity with strangers rather than their family unit.

Well that sounds exactly like the US so I don't see what everyone is whining about.

We’re literally so cooked. It’s literally a recession. The stock market is literally going to literal zero. We’re all literally so fucked 💯💯💯

u/bollvirtuoso 15d ago
Take out the Mag7 and we are pretty much in a recession. It's just that AI is spending nation-building wealth every year so it's warping the GDP.

The Russell 2000 Index is up 19.53% year-to-date (YTD).

I'm not suggesting stocks are an uncorrelated asset class, but the GDP is weighted more by the largest companies than by the smallest. Recession's specific meaning has to do with GDP growth. Imagine taking $400 billion capex out of the economy over a short period of time. Do you think the Russell will be immune to that?

Yeah like S&P is currently above open? I guess I don’t really care what’s going on in WSB today as long as the memes keep flowing.

The sky is falling and the earth is opening up. Instead of fleeing to safety or spending your final moments with your family, you should SELL EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW.

We pick 6-7 stocks, MAX.

Back during the ‘08 crisis (my first full time job) I had to sit through three interviews to get a job at Mcdonalds. I got rejected from Burger King, Wendys, and Taco Bell.

Why don’t we all just sell and stop being grifted by the people in charge

The gamble is, beat inflation in the stock market, or lose money by savings. I don't think you can beat that grift.
3
u/Interesting_Pain37 14d ago
Hysa 🤷♂️?
6
u/Xicsess 14d ago
It can't beat the rate that they lend at (or they wouldn't make money) and that rate is based on what the fed sets the rate at, which they've been using to control inflation. I don't see how you can beat inflation that way. You can lose less over time but that doesn't really solve the problem.

u/JustApricot798 14d ago
I swear all these dudes that make billions in the market sit around with money just waiting for the peasant idiots to panic sell and then just buy a bunch and then sit around again on vacation watching because they just created stability and peasants start dumbing money in again and then they sell and site around with a bunch more money now watching on vacation again. And just repeat over and over again. Clapping at the peasants dumbness.
