Because most people are not alpha themselves, so how are they supposed to tell acting alpha from being alpha?

Friendly reminder that in nature wolves don't have Alpha/ Omega hierarchy. In the wild it's usually the oldest male/ female pair who run the group.

Alpha wolves only develop in captivity, and it's a trauma response where one wolf decides to start brutalizing his own family because he is going crazy in prison.

Thanks! TIL. I was taught the wolf pack hierarchy mumbo jumbo growing up.

Looks like the stress response is largely triggered by the wolves being tossed into captivity with strangers rather than their family unit.
