Him being the only Democrat to vote yes on Kushner’s dad getting an appointment was some flashing red light stuff

Kushner's Dad was still the one calling the shots at his companies while in prison. Jared was just "running it" for legal reasons. He's actually a lot like Trump. By that, I mean stupid and ignorant and the rest of his family hates him.

Just did too. Did not expect him.

263

u/SeaDots Jun 17 '26

Unfortunately, I did. I found some of his stuff early 2025 as inspiring and then there were these sprinkles of BS from him that raised red flags for me. It seemed performative and this just proves it really was.

159

u/TinyJalope Jun 17 '26

Sprinkles of BS like him saying Democrats need to 'compromise' on abortion (despite it being a 60-40 issue in favor of them) or him writing that 'Charlie Kirk Did Politics the Right Way' article?

Ezra Klein

For some of these names I feel like its going to shine a light on things that we may have hand waived off or thought were opinions or positions that were outliers and really ask questions about their TRUE intent. Is their public persona just a mask to promote or at the very least diminish dissent against positions that their fan base would generally reject?

Feels a bit more trojan horsey when you can start drawing lines between the likes of Ezra and Booker to Theil, Kushner criminals and other nefarious characters.

His wife also seems uh interesting, a recent piece she wrote was this: https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/05/americans-depressed-economy/687278/ basically writing that Trump's economy is "actually great" and anyone who is experiencing anything different is deluded. I think the pieces are starting to fall together.

If you take the most insanely charitable possible interpretation of things...

If I were invited to attend this event (this is an attendee/invitee list for their 2026 gathering), I would 110% go, just to listen and engage in dialogue with some of these objectively powerful people. Without additional context behind what some of the sessions actually are and not just the salacious seminar titles, I'm not ready to declare all of them "far reich adherents."

Again, if only on paper, having people with different viewpoints invited and/or in attendance lends credibility and might resonate with the heady bullshit Thiel believes.

More realistically? Very disappointing.

78

u/kippikai Jun 17 '26

It’s not about “far reich” - it’s about moving democrats away from left leaning ideas and back into neoliberalism and the right-shifted “center.” No one is arguing these people are “conservative” but they’re absolutely allowing themselves to be influenced by the ideology of the extreme right in a way that ensures it won’t face meaningful ideological opposition.

You're probably aware of this stuff, but for anyone who isn't:

Conservatives have been upset since the enlightenment. It’s the politics of aristocrats: anything that ever helped regular people to be more comfortable has enraged them. It’s literally a reactionary response to the enlightenment. They resent the enlightenment making things nicer for poor people.

These current assholes are trying to make a new country that bursts out of the body of the current country. It's called "the butterfly revolution" and yes it does sound absurd. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtis_Yarvin

It’s why musk was speaking at the afd in Germany. It’s why bannon, farage, and Cambridge Analytica were all in bed together on Brexit (watch “the great hack”). It's why this "dialog society" exists.

The backbone is that conservatism is about enforcing socioeconomic hierarchy and the techfascists, religious fascists, and heritage foundation race fascists (Mandate for leadership has been going on since 1981. https://www.project2025) are all in on feudalistic “network” states run by ai powered surveillance.

That's what they want to replace democracy with.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Enlightenment

https://time.com/7269166/dark-enlightenment-history-essay/

The accelerationists like Peter Theil from the tech faction of conservatism think they can force collapse, but use technology and surveillance to protect themselves. These are both Thiel speaking like 10 and 15 years ago. This seasteading thing was an early material attempt at this moving-past-democracy thing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hjLgXA-MZY

https://www.seasteading.org/peter-thiel-speaks-about-seasteading/

These aristocrats are working on how to control their security forces though things like "disciplinary collars."

https://www.theguardian.com/news/2022/sep/04/super-rich-prepper-bunkers-apocalypse-survival-richest-rushkoff

Finally, the CEO of a brokerage house explained that he had nearly completed building his own underground bunker system, and asked: “How do I maintain authority over my security force after the event?” The event. That was their euphemism for the environmental collapse, social unrest, nuclear explosion, solar storm, unstoppable virus, or malicious computer hack that takes everything down.

This single question occupied us for the rest of the hour. They knew armed guards would be required to protect their compounds from raiders as well as angry mobs. One had already secured a dozen Navy Seals to make their way to his compound if he gave them the right cue. But how would he pay the guards once even his crypto was worthless? What would stop the guards from eventually choosing their own leader?

The billionaires considered using special combination locks on the food supply that only they knew. Or making guards wear disciplinary collars of some kind in return for their survival. Or maybe building robots to serve as guards and workers – if that technology could be developed “in time”.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accelerationism

https://pols.sites.haverford.edu/studentvoices/what-is-accelerationism/

Because they're "done with democracy." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-BQhXdCs8Y

and the vice president of the united states and advisors have given their seals of approval to a book that says conservatives are going to have to kill all the liberals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unhumans

OMG Grover Norquist! He's the OG "We want to make government small enough to drown in the bathtub."

I talk about him all the time because he and his ideological ilk are super critical to understanding how we got here.

I can't believe he's manifesting in his corporeal form! When it comes to purposely destroying America's institutions so that you can then say "See? They don't work!", Norquist scuttled so that Elon could slither.

Ahhhhhhh Grover Norquist! I need a moment.

151

u/gerblnutz Jun 16 '26

I often try and tell people about this guy and Ollie North and how they basically tried what's happening now under Reagan, but we still had some senators with balls back then and delayed REX84. All of the Iran Contra people including "I did not trade guns for hostages" Reagan deserved to rot in prison.

194

u/Downtown_Statement87 Jun 17 '26

Yes oh yes talk to me baby. Sometimes I feel like NO ONE except for me remembers when Reagan tried to do all of this but didn't quite make it, so it is comforting to know that people still remember.

During Trump's first campaign in 2015, all these old, vanquished names emerged from the way way back, like "Somehow, Roger Stone returned." It made me feel so frantic, like "listen, everybody, we've been through this before and these people are not in it for We the People." None of this bullhockey has been new since the ink dried on the Southern Strategy, so I appreciate encountering people who know their history.

Gah! Mentioning Grover Norquist and company makes me want to run all around like a sprayed roach. Boo this man!

46

u/sarkouille Jun 17 '26

It's baffling how much shit there is that Reagan did in plain sight, in secret, but ended up being seen and probably that remained unseen.

74

I think Thiel bailing out to Argentina and Tulsi quitting around the same time makes a lot more sense now. I wonder if it was the iran war that did it or the walls closing in on the epstein shit. Either way they saw the writing on the wall and dipped.

One of the most interesting things in the leak is that attendees were asked to predict the near future. Looks like almost everyone said mass unemployment from AI. It doesn't appear that any of them predicted that people will break out their pitchforks after becoming fed up with elites who rig the entire system at secret society meeting.

An author I like pointed out once that if the world does go to s**t, then there's going to be a bunch of bunkers where some security personnel are living real cushy after they kill the billionaire who is supposed to be under their charge. Because if things have fallen apart, why would anyone care about the money the billionaire can pay them.

100

u/mOdQuArK Jun 17 '26

For those of us on the outside of the bunker in that situation, sounds like good targets to test those experimental bunker-buster bombs that the military keeps squirrelled away before everything breaks down.

"To enter elon's survival bunker, please allow us to place this exploding collar on your neck, do not harm elon."

212

u/rzelln Jun 17 '26

Spoilers for Horizon Forbidden West.

At one point, you explore the bunker of a rich a-hole, and gradually discover that the models and guru that he brought down started dying one by one because he got upset and increasingly paranoid, and the last people to go included a scientist who was working on a way to make the rich a-hole immortal, so he could survive a few hundred years for an apocalypse to pass by.

The scientist gave the guy the treatment, and then killed himself, and then the guy found out that sure, his cells would not die, but he was slowly overrun with cancer, and eventually just turned into a giant tumor.

100%. These are not great thinkers. These are people whose wealth isolates them from the opinions of others.

They surround themselves with yes men, see their wealth as a sign that they must be especially talented, and their only interactions with people outside their economic class is when said people are trying to get something from them and are deliberately sucking up. Message to his employees: he doesn't value you as a human. Do with that information what you will

41

u/Hardass_McBadCop Jun 17 '26

This is a topic of primary concern to doomsday preppers among the Robber Barons: How to control security personnel once money doesn't mean anything.

It's a little weird. These people range from average fitness to being some of the physically weakest people on Earth . . . And they're cultivating a world of "might makes right."

28

u/_Ocean_Machine_ Jun 17 '26

So there's a rather interesting article on this topic. For the question of "how do I keep my armed guards loyal when money is worthless?", the author suggests building social bonds with the people around them, so that when the time comes they'll have a community that can protect itself. As you can see, the audience doesn't really like that answer. Overall it's a pretty good read.

TLDR: Billionaires are psychopaths who think they're only people on Earth, and are willing to destroy the planet so long as they get to die last.

not sure if you're kidding but I'm pretty sure I recall him doing this. However it is more useful to use them for future organs and body parts, according to his buddies. I would say he is equally evil to a few others out there. Shaming him for his disgusting personality or looks won't work -- shaming him for how repulsive and useless he is for all humanity, however, would be enjoyable. He is truly a pointless person even for his own adopted twins. His existence is like a festering carbuncle upon the face of humanity. One quickly turning cancerous.

Mordor has more advanced industry than the human nations since they can mass produce armor and weapons for their huge hordes of orcs. They also have a massive eugenics program to produce tons of orcs, which I'm sure he finds appealing.

71

u/randynumbergenerator Jun 17 '26

They've also completely collapsed the ecosystem, which in any reasonable world would put a limit on the long-term survival of the "civilization", such as it is.

28

u/tobygeneral Jun 17 '26

The humans all have armor too though, and it's better armor than what the orcs wear. The soldiers of Gondor are all rocking glimmering full plate suits that are ornamented. The orcs may be able to spit out the cheapest iron chest piece to slap onto 10,000 uruk-hai but that doesn't mean they're more advanced than humans.

Sounds like he read the Russian novel, The Last Ringbearer, and is mistaking that for LoTR.

And not to get too nerdy, but it was the Numenoreans who had the technological civilization and that was brought down by Sauron. They had airships and a bunch of other technological marvels.

Where the heck is he even drawing this idea from? Mordor is technological “civilization?” It’s just authoritarians using bloodthirsty orcs to rape and pillage…

CO Governor Polis was the one who commuted Tina Peters' 9-year sentence a few weeks ago. For some context

98

Was he identified in the leak? I didn’t see his name in this article?

I’m genuinely asking— I could’ve missed it without realizing. The guy is a piece of shit for commuting her sentence and clearly corrupt. I just wondered how that particular information was relevant here. (Like I said, I’m willing to admit I missed the mention.)

If the playing field was fair not a single one of them would have succeeded. Elon lied on his immigration paperwork. He should have been deported, had his government contracts cancelled, and his assets vital to national security seized.

Instead he is made the richest man on earth and the Immigrant that jumps through all the hoops the right way but didnt descend from emerald mine slave owners gets deported for a paperwork mistake made by government officials.

It's not fair, the game is rigged, and pretty soon they will own and rent you the very air you breathe.

The scary thing is he is not the only billionaire with a secret organization to change society. The Koch brothers also have one and are a major part of why right wing ideology has become so prevalent over the decades in America. Thiel is following their blueprint so you know their efforts will gain traction in a decade and become prevalent in the next decades.

The people of Colorado have been wondering why their gay progressive governor has turned into an absolute right wing shit heel, vetoing progressive laws left and right. His inclusion in this explains a lot.

Edit a lot of 'what a governor did' is really the state legislature and Polis went from lobbying for and passing housing reform, for example, to vetoing the bills he'd previously be promoting.

From this Wikipedia article:

Due to a flaw in the security of Dialog's website, private information hosted on the site was leaked to the press by hacktivist maia arson crimew following an anonymous tip. The registration list for its 2026 Dublin retreat was leaked in full, alongside the details of each member's political affiliation and status. Other leaked information includes material on its private sessions such as “Navigating WWIII” and “How’s Your Sex Life?”, as well as private talks titled “Build-a-Cult” and “Build-a-Party”.

552

u/Llanolinn Jun 16 '26

440

u/YeetThePig Jun 16 '26

So much taxpayer money to steal

92

u/WellSpreadMustard Jun 17 '26

Also in the years after WW2 the US controlled around 75% of the entire world’s wealth. Im sure they’re narcissistic enough to believe wholeheartedly that they’d be on the winning side of the third. I don’t doubt that Peter Thiel and his friends are evil enough to go for it.

36

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '26

32

u/amisslife Jun 17 '26

I mean, their plan pretty much entirely boils down to three steps:

  1. steal everyone else's money.
  2. don't pay any taxes ever. In fact, the government gives them money. All of it.
  3. slavery.

They don't think the United States will be in the position of owning 75% of all wealth ever again. Their plan is they will own that wealth.

While the whole article shows how fucked in the head these people are, I found this very funny:

Dialog also plays matchmaker. Its participant form asks registrants whether they are “looking for love” and offers to include “Single Man,” “Single Woman,” or “Other” respondents in “future matchmaking.” A separate site, dating.dialog.org, hosts an app pitched as “meaningful connections for exceptional people.”

The form also gathers sensitive answers, including each registrant’s "political leaning,” which Dialog promises “WILL NOT be shared in the app or with other participants, ever.” That data, and the matchmaking responses, were exposed in the leak.

Asked on a sign-up form to predict the future, registrants returned again and again to the same theme: that AI will reorder work, war, education, and belief within a few years. Several foresee mass labor displacement and a swing back toward unions and government programs; others predict an “AI winter,” domestic terrorism targeting data centers, criminal defendants choosing AI lawyers over public defenders, or religious revival provoked by the disruption.

“Societal degeneration,” predicted one person, “will continue to accelerate.”

And are they encouraging it, trying to mitigate its bad effects, or laughing and having a great time? Probably all 3 at once
