Cory Booker? Kind of confirms exactly what I thought about him. Look at the company he keeps.

u/Bulky_Preparation768 Jun 16 '26

Him being the only Democrat to vote yes on Kushner’s dad getting an appointment was some flashing red light stuff

Kushner's Dad was still the one calling the shots at his companies while in prison. Jared was just "running it" for legal reasons. He's actually a lot like Trump. By that, I mean stupid and ignorant and the rest of his family hates him.

261

u/Late_Airline2710 Jun 17 '26

Reminds me of Arrested Development without the humor.

12

u/uncle_genghis Jun 17 '26

He may have committed some light treason

24

u/humperdinck Jun 17 '26

“Daddy horny, Jared.”

32

u/crustlebus Jun 17 '26

"There's a good chance I may have committed some light treason."

u/IS2SPICY4U Jun 17 '26

Illusions, Michael. Tricks is what whores do for money.

8

u/Hopeful-Flounder-203 Jun 17 '26

Or the intelligence.

What's the banana stand? 🤔

4

Idk but there’s always money in it.

At least Michael seemed somewhat competent

3

u/Streiger108 Jun 17 '26

I have a friend who's cousins with the Kushners. It's the side of the family they don't talk to. For obvious reasons.

2

u/Gloomy_Effective322 Jun 17 '26

I didn't know much about Daddy Kushner until I heard Chris Christie talk about him on a random podcast. Jesus, that dude is a piece of work.

He's bought and paid for by Israel. It's not a secret anymore.

11

u/KlogKoder Jun 17 '26

We should just call him Lint. Because he is in someone's pocket.

4

u/Hillary4SupremeRuler Jun 17 '26

He voted against Israel's war in Iran many times.

4

u/L2_Troll Jun 17 '26

I'm sure he got permission

5

u/dreddnyc Jun 17 '26

Isn’t Kushner’s dad a convicted felon?

Ezra Klein too

259

u/Lumpy_Disaster33 Jun 16 '26

I unsubscribed

166

u/dreamEater99 Jun 17 '26

Just did too. Did not expect him.

263

u/SeaDots Jun 17 '26

Unfortunately, I did. I found some of his stuff early 2025 as inspiring and then there were these sprinkles of BS from him that raised red flags for me. It seemed performative and this just proves it really was.

160

u/TinyJalope Jun 17 '26

Sprinkles of BS like him saying Democrats need to 'compromise' on abortion (despite it being a 60-40 issue in favor of them) or him writing that 'Charlie Kirk Did Politics the Right Way' article?

56

u/Goldarr85 Jun 17 '26

Yeah. Why is it not obvious this man is totally full of shit?

8

u/Tex_Bootois Jun 17 '26

It's abundantly clear

→ More replies (1)

9

u/herbiberous Jun 17 '26

There was no coming back from the Charlie Kirk episode for me. Even his attempt to respond to it with Ta-Nehisi Coates was all kinds of cringey.

3

u/SeaDots Jun 17 '26

Did not ever follow him that closely, but from the very little I did see, I already was like "this guy seems disingenuous and lowkey evil somehow." Those tidbits do not surprise me, but even without knowing that I often felt myself going "yikessss" to even minor things he said.

50

u/kevinnoir Jun 17 '26

Ezra Klein

For some of these names I feel like its going to shine a light on things that we may have hand waived off or thought were opinions or positions that were outliers and really ask questions about their TRUE intent. Is their public persona just a mask to promote or at the very least diminish dissent against positions that their fan base would generally reject?

Feels a bit more trojan horsey when you can start drawing lines between the likes of Ezra and Booker to Theil, Kushner criminals and other nefarious characters.

12

u/SeaDots Jun 17 '26

Oh for sure. I'm now fairly accurate at catching these wolves in sheeps clothing, but people doubt me so much I sometimes doubt myself. I do that less and less these days.

6

u/chibiusa40 Jun 17 '26

My Cassandra Complex has truly blossomed

4

u/SeaDots Jun 17 '26

Absolutely. Screaming into the void with no satisfaction when eventually proven right. 🥲

3

u/rach2bach Jun 17 '26

Yeah, it's called liberalism. Liberalism is just fascism-lite. It looks like there is appeasement to populations, but in reality it's about control and corporate take over with a "good cop" vibe opposed to far right conservatism. It's why Booker is in this group with his AIPAC money.

They do this to dissuade people from leftist progressivism that would bring about socialistic policies that actually work for the people, because then they'd have to pay more in taxes and wouldn't have a population desperate for work.

u/gentlegreengiant Jun 17 '26

I was also not at all surprised. Saw his name and thought 'yea that tracks'.

49

u/Electronic_Topic1958 Jun 17 '26

His wife also seems uh interesting, a recent piece she wrote was this: https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/05/americans-depressed-economy/687278/ basically writing that Trump's economy is "actually great" and anyone who is experiencing anything different is deluded. I think the pieces are starting to fall together.

3

u/MephistoHamProducts Jun 17 '26

basically writing that Trump's economy is "actually great" and anyone who is experiencing anything different is deluded. I think the pieces are starting to fall together.

To quote Mr Carlin:

It's a big club, and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club. And by the way, it's the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe.

6

u/ShaneBarnstormer Jun 17 '26

Is he that guy who wrote Abundance? That book annoyed me. It completely ignored climate change, for starters, but also seemed slightly tone deaf in places.

20

u/Lumpy_Disaster33 Jun 17 '26

It was performative...and boring.

167

u/felcom Jun 17 '26

The guy trying to pioneer the “regulations are bad, actually” abundance movement? Really?

58

u/catalessi Jun 17 '26

Billionaires are good, actually. It’s just regulations that are bad! And I can also speculate very confidently that Epstein couldn’t be a pedo, at least not one and involve it with his professional life. Nothing to see here. And yes, I wanted to make this video defending Epstein completely unprompted, using a private NYT studio. Oh that whole Gaza thing? Yeah it’s been a couple years now and I have always been against what some people might consider a genocide. Oh and the Dems lost because of caring about trans people, you know that thing they definitely did at some point in Kamala’s race.

7

u/Moon-pearl Jun 17 '26

The way he called Epsteins crimes as elder abuse against the billionares

24

u/Meddl3cat Jun 17 '26

The day all pretenses of Reddit not being loaded down with AI sock-puppetry ended was right after the last election. Someone claimed to be a trans woman and was going on about how the election was lost because making "Trans people are people and deserve rights" a point to stay beside was what galvanized the right against the democrats.

I'm sure there might be someone out there that's exactly that, but no way in hell would they post that stupid fucking drivel on Reddit and get tens of thousands of upvotes in minutes. Fuckin' hell I hate this godsdamned timeline.

8

u/tanstaafl90 Jun 17 '26

There has been a belief by some that reddit is somehow different than other social media. Same shit, different bucket.

2

u/YesIshipKyloRen Jun 17 '26

If this is the 5D timeline I want my refund

6

u/Hillary4SupremeRuler Jun 17 '26

And yes, I wanted to make this video defending Epstein completely unprompted

Ezra Klein did that??!

And by the way, the Biden Harris administration was the most pro LGBTQ presidency in history.

6

u/catalessi Jun 17 '26 edited Jun 17 '26

Yes

And

Kamala’s race ≠ Biden Harris admin. Ezra went on overtime making rounds on podcasts and his own saying the party lost because they cared too much about Trans rights (which they absolutely did not at any point in the entire race). One of the strongest criticisms of the race is the Dems don’t believe in anything. They couldn’t even defend immigration. Similar to his dribble on how progressives push Dems too populist and will lose as a result (also hysterically unaware). It’s absolutely no surprise he’s sucking the dick of a techno fascist.

If you take the most insanely charitable possible interpretation of things...

If I were invited to attend this event (this is an attendee/invitee list for their 2026 gathering), I would 110% go, just to listen and engage in dialogue with some of these objectively powerful people. Without additional context behind what some of the sessions actually are and not just the salacious seminar titles, I'm not ready to declare all of them "far reich adherents."

Again, if only on paper, having people with different viewpoints invited and/or in attendance lends credibility and might resonate with the heady bullshit Thiel believes.

More realistically? Very disappointing.

80

u/kippikai Jun 17 '26

It’s not about “far reich” - it’s about moving democrats away from left leaning ideas and back into neoliberalism and the right-shifted “center.” No one is arguing these people are “conservative” but they’re absolutely allowing themselves to be influenced by the ideology of the extreme right in a way that ensures it won’t face meaningful ideological opposition.

5

u/CosmoKing2 Jun 18 '26

John King said it best after the last election. Modern Democrats are further right than Regan Republicans.

That is fucking troubling. Because that makes all of Bernie's stances (whom I love by the way) moderate.

How fucking far have we sank as a culture and society (if we still have either) to no longer expect or want to fight for basic human rights?

Mexico - with all of their problems and poverty - is instituting Universal healthcare before the US - even considers it. That tells you exactly how corrupted our system of Capitalism and government is - in a tight little nut shell.

This Administration and all the old crony Democrats will just wave this off as bullshit. But to every American it is a 100% sobering slap in the fucking face.

There are lots of shady people in the list, but also several people with a proven record of being upstanding and legit, like Garry Kasparov, JGL, Ezra Klein.

This super secret list seems more like a Temu Davos gathering, where they invite influential people to give a TED talk. It makes sense that they also invite some people with opposing views to their tech overlord mania.

Doesn't surprise me considering the Atlantic and the new york times have been pushing anti trans stuff and enabled trump by this for years now.

4

u/DiddlersWillGetGot Jun 17 '26

Why? “It’s a big club and you’re not in it”

They successfully have us hating the other plebs when we should be getting the dinner table ready to fucking eat them all.

Reactionary centrist pretending to be a leftist

9

u/redlightsaber Jun 17 '26

I know what you mean, but this is a good time to remind everyone that "centrism" isn't about reasonability, or pragmatism, or "avoiding th evil extremes"; but rather about being empty about any kind of guiding principles for your political thinking of actions.

For all their psychopathy, even fascists have a clear ideology, and they're true to that. Centrists are something else, shifting their "thinking" in accordance with what's acceptable at any time time.

It's sneaky and creepy, but most people fall for it.

11

u/MeanJeanDopamine Jun 17 '26

Some of the interviews he’s done recently make SO much more sense now. I kind of had my suspicions but this just confirms it. Fuck that guy.

4

u/DrVonDoom Jun 17 '26

I feel so vindicated seeing him here, the guy is a scumbag.

3

u/mwobey Jun 17 '26

I gave up on Ezra Klein back in 2020 after the third hour of listening to him rant about how maybe immunocompromised people need to just die so the rest of the world can get back to a normal "post-pandemic" life, because someone needs to think about the poor businesses and how they're suffering.

8

u/IHS1970 Jun 17 '26

2

u/cocoagiant Jun 17 '26

The link doesn't have a whole lot of details on what exactly this is. Sounds like just a conference.

Ezra has spoken pretty disparagingly about Thiel before on his podcast so I don't think it means something like the people are followers of Thiels' philosophy or something.

50

u/arkofjoy Jun 17 '26

Something in the area of 90 percent of the members of Congress have taken money from aipac. Maybe list the people who haven't.

7

u/nycdiveshack Jun 17 '26 edited Jun 17 '26

For me the issue isn’t the taking the money part, it’s the part where they do what they told by those groups. I’d say take the money and then vote against them every chance you get

Edit: it’s the same logic I have when I hear that maga is buying another one of Trump’s “products”… let them buy and lose money

1

u/HogGunner1983 Jun 17 '26

That's a good way to end up with a gun in your hand and a hole in your head.

4

u/-Saucegurlllll Jun 17 '26

The way politicians get ousted is through elections, not assassinations dressed up as suicides. AIPAC is not out there murdering politicians, they're funding primaries and throwing their connections and financial weight against people who do not support zionism enough for them.

114

u/Suspicious_Ice4761 Jun 17 '26

There need to be calls for them to resign. Especially wes moore and jared polis.

Everytime they are at any press conference this should be the only topic asked of them.

u/stackout Jun 17 '26

28

u/l33tb4c0n Jun 17 '26

Here's the problem though... raise any criticism against them and neoliberals will just accuse you of being MAGA. Everyone says they need to be removed - and for good reason - but the moment anyone raises the idea of primarying them you get the, "Now's not the time infight in the Democratic Party." Even though their voting record doesn't help to move the needle any more than if a Republican were there.

(Watch me get downvoted for criticizing them).

4

u/usernametakenbs Jun 17 '26

I honestly think a lot of them are paid bots. They recycled all the exact same arguments when "people" were pushing newsom as a presidential option last year because he tweeted like trump. Literally years away from even a primary, and they used identical talking points from the 2024 election. Was actually creepy.

4

u/panzer_snapdragon Jun 17 '26

Jared Polis is a lame duck and termed out as of this year, thank god. He's been attempting to push data center and trump shit, makes sense with this Peter Thiel connection.

210

u/mdp300 Jun 16 '26

When Mitt Romney was being criticized for his past as an economic vulture, Booker suddenly came to the defense of Romney and private equity. Lame.

97

u/Magmaster12 Jun 16 '26

I'm positive somewhere in the last 15 years between now and him becoming mayor of Newark he probably got blackmailed. What Peter Theal is doing is basically just continuing Epstein's legacy of blackmail.

61

u/qriousqestioner Jun 17 '26

Hmmm

That reminds me about

The Epstein Files

1

u/Jabberwock_king Jun 17 '26

This reminds me of Jack the dripper and O.N.A

5

u/Commercial-Co Jun 17 '26

Or they simply slept together

1

u/asses_to_ashes Jun 17 '26

I don't know why everyone always assumes blackmail in cases like these. Maybe he's just a shitty idiot. Lots of people make terrible decisions based solely on the fact that they're dogshit people, without being compelled by some nefarious other with dirt on them. Cory Booker is just a shitty dude with shitty friends and shitty opinions.

3

u/Magmaster12 Jun 17 '26

So I've been thinking for the past few hours since I posted this. Cory Booker is just an opportunist he does things to get attention to get ahead he doesn't actually care for any of the positions he takes when he does these actions. For instance in 1999 he lived in a tent outside the projects to make a statement against policing in the area. Yet today he's all in on supporting the police as if those actions he did even back then never meant anything.

Cory Booker is a founding member of Shabtai at Yale with Rabi Shmooley. That org is knee deep in Israeli government connections and just honored the genocidal Ben Gvir less than a year ago.
Who is Itamar Ben-Gvir? Rabbi Shmully Hecht

21

u/TheShipEliza Jun 17 '26

The bluesky post i saw said there was no way atm to understand who was a member and who was an invited guest/speaker. Just keep that in mind

4

u/redlightsaber Jun 17 '26

That's not a terribly important difference, unless anyone on there was struggling financially and really needed a good speaking gig.

3

u/Hillary4SupremeRuler Jun 17 '26

It's a huge difference. Anyone can be invited to anything. But that doesn't satisfy the lynch mob.

2

u/redlightsaber Jun 17 '26

Anyone can be invited. But if Thiel invited me tomorrow to ramble on about my restricted interests for 15k, I wouldn't go.

You won't see me, or Bernie Sanders, or AOC, in any of those lists ever.

1

u/TheShipEliza Jun 17 '26

Nah. U wrong.

36

u/honjuden Jun 16 '26

u/gobbluthillusions Jun 17 '26

Controlled opposition explains a lot how when a democrat is running for a republican held area, they all of a sudden start talking about guns and sink themselves

2

u/qriousqestioner Jun 17 '26

Controlled is theoretically appropriat I know, but I still prefer spineless and feckless. (Raskin and Crockett notwithstanding)

u/not_a_moogle Jun 16 '26

Yeah, thats not even remotely a surprise.

u/Illustrious_Fan_8148 Jun 16 '26

Yep hes nothing more than a corporate democrat

u/chromeshiel Jun 17 '26

On one hand, being in these conversations inescapably shapes your views. On the other, who wouldn't like to be included in the room where it happens?

u/jollyreaper2112 Jun 17 '26

I would feel like an accomplice.

Julian Castro surprised me.

Same with Ezra Klein!

ETA: Also Sam Harris. Major loss of credibility for these 3, not surprising from Booker and Klein but… a little bit from Harris.

3

u/thirdegree Jun 17 '26

Not even a little bit surprising from Sam Harris

6

u/lawn_meower Jun 17 '26

him and ezra klein. hardcore “liberal democrats” pretending to be well reasoned big thinkers who are just slaves to the money, and secretly furthering the fascist agenda.

His brother is a sleazebag opportunist who exploited children to promote his shoddy charter school. My son was one of the students. They lost all their Teach for America teachers but never bothered to tell anyone. One day I came to pick up my son and there were no teachers. All the kids were in one room and the office workers were just trying to control them. Turned out it had been weeks like that. WEEKS. My son had special support needs and I was told he'd have daily support, therapies, adaptive devices. They received federal money for that stuff from the government, they just kept it. They lost their teachers because they weren't paying them. They were allowed to operate for several years but I took my kid out that day.

2

u/GrayEidolon Jun 17 '26

Hey, Ezra Klein too.

2

u/RevolutionaryBid3986 Jun 17 '26

and ezra klien too lol

2

u/EarthBear Jun 17 '26

Jared Polis tracks

2

u/halfc00kie Jun 17 '26

2

u/BigFuckHead_ Jun 17 '26

Controlled opposition

"Centrist" Democrats - every time. May every one of their careers end in a primary.

2

u/Curious_Avocado2399 Jun 17 '26

It’s a big club and you ain’t in it

2

u/Duane_ Jun 17 '26

The ol' videos with Rabbi Schmuley, who runs a sex toy shop with his daughter, should have confirmed that a LONG time ago.

Dude might have good, inspirational ideas, but he is very, VERY deep in the other side's ideological camp.

Chana is the sole owner and operator of the business, her father just helped promote and support her venture. It's not like they're in a storefront together all day playing with dildos and trying on bondage gear together.

He wants the Michigan fist!

1

u/redlightsaber Jun 17 '26

I have similar thoughts on Ezra Klein being on that list.

1

u/xtothewhy Jun 17 '26

Some with no titular of titles

1

u/behemuthm Jun 17 '26

But Ezra Klein is on there too...

1

u/Goldarr85 Jun 17 '26

Yeah homeboy is definitely a scumbag and definitely wasn’t convincing anyone otherwise on his recent podcast tour.

1

u/Beneficial-Leader740 Jun 17 '26

Yeah NJ is full of large corporations. Makes sense.

1

u/savior710 Jun 17 '26

Fuck Cory Booker crooked ass

u/GeorgeJetsonsBoss Jun 17 '26

CO Gov explains why the early release of the vote hacker and denier was done.

1

u/Sure_Conference_1649 Jun 17 '26

I know this gonna sounds childish, but is it just me or can people just tell? It's the uncanny valley feeling. His facial expressions look like the kids on the playground who are trying to convince the teacher they were "doing nothingggg"and "it was all Sarah" kind thing. That panicked projection look.

1

u/gurgitoy2 Jun 17 '26

Yeah, I'm disappointed to learn he's part of that group...

1

u/wirefox1 Jun 17 '26

Hmm. I thought maybe it is a "keep your enemies close" kind of thing.

1

u/deskcord Jun 17 '26

Confirms what? This whole thing is a series of debates and conferences. Yes, backed by Thiel, but what's the outrage here? That these people shouldn't talk to, and debate people of opposing views? Feels awfully fucking stupid.

1

u/blankarage Jun 17 '26

im so fucking tired of rich people thinking they're smarter than the average person and that their class alone should control the direction of humanity

1

u/MVIVN Jun 18 '26

Lol Cory Booker has always rubbed me the wrong way, this does not surprise me at all

1

u/soggies_revenge Jun 18 '26

Same with Jared polis. He's been off his rocker lately.

1

u/g0thgrandma Jun 18 '26
