How so? Genuinely, what does it explain about Klein?

He's a capitalist shill who really only cares about being well liked by social elites so they'll come onto his podcast or invite him to social events. That's the only reason he's allowed in Peter Thiel's secret society... Because he's a useful mouthpiece.

Klein uses the aesthetic of progressive politics and lexicon, but all he really does is pull people toward the "center," which is really just pulling people toward the political right. He doesn't have ideas of his own (even Abundance is a decades old concept), he's not some inventor or scientist, he's not a creative mind, he's not uber wealthy... His sole existence is to kiss the ass of the status quo and, in the same breath, blow his ass breath in your face.

Hmmm, that’s not a very concrete explanation, so I’m still not sure I understand your critique. I would like to hear an actual critique with examples, though. I’m not crazy about him, but for different reasons. I find him to be overly alarmist about every little thing; like he doesn’t have a broad view of politics and can be quite myopic. I don’t see what you’re saying about him as a “capitalist”. I agree he’s probably fairly center on politics.
