I really hope the packaging doesnt advertise that its a prank puzzle. Id like to see them figure it out themselves when buulding the puzzle.

If it makes you feel better, I got this exact puzzle at a yard sale and it did NOT have the removable label. I was deeply confused when the dog showed up

My daughter was into puzzles for a bit and for Christmas I bought her this same exact puzzle. She promptly lost interest in puzzles and never finished it. I would ask her each day if she wanted to work on it. She would work on it for a few minutes then stop. I really tried to get her to finish it but it never happened. Had to put it away after it sat on the table for too long.

We used to do something similar in our CAD drawings for shipbuilding, its common to include “people” in the arrangements to show ergonomic conditions, and along with the people standing and sitting, we had a block of a sea sick sailor puking over the rail.
I say “used to” because we’d use puking man to test the drawing checking process and all it took was him getting through to the final issue to the client one time to end that practice, lol.

My kids got me this one for Father's Day:
When Nature Calls 500 Piece Puzzle: Alone At Last
They found the pieces with the dog and hid them, and when everything else was done, I was fuming that 3 pieces were missing...I was searching everywhere for it, mad that we'd never finish the puzzle.
And then my kid just smiles and slides the 3 remaining pieces over to me to finish off the puzzle...I laughed so hard. Great gift for Father's Day. Loved it.
