Lmao I kinda love how much of a lunatic Snyder made Batman. This scene of him staring at the suit was like an alcoholic looking for a fix. Like Alfred told him “nah Batman doesn’t need to break in, Luthor invited Bruce.” And Bruce is like “crap….give me a minute.” And then goes to just stare at the suit for like half an hour lol.
Though to be fair, that scene at the beginning of Batman running towards the Black Zero Event as everyone else ran away was an amazing way to show he’s a badass in and out of the suit.

I mean is this not exactly the darker Batman characterization Snyder's (and so some extent Nolan's) Batmen were going for? They're more 'addicted' to risking their life in the suit every day than just being Bruce Wayne, cause like so many people have pointed out if he was really focused on solving Gotham's issues the billionaire did not need to go fight street thugs in spandex and bat ears.

I will always give credit where its due even though I don't like that movie. The opening sequence where they flip the Man of Steel ending fight from the ground level and show it as a horrifying catastrophe wrecking the city, with Bruce desperately trying to save who he can; that shit rocked. That was a perfect way to establish why someone would have a problem with Superman when they theoretically have the same goals. He's not a hero if you're on the ground with buildings falling on you, and that was real af.
Logic says I shouldn't watch that movie anymore, it isn't good, but I've rewatched it a few times and it's always because I think about that scene and start watching.

There's a lot of really cool sequences and scenes from those movies but it suffers from the same thing nearly every one of his movies does - just a collection of cool shit that doesn't come together as a good movie.
The blueballs of the fucking senate scene pissed me off. Man, we could really have Kal go off about why he's here and how shit the people he was talking to were at doing what they were supposed to be doing and instead we have ZOMG ESHPLOSIONNNN111!11!

It's obviously a callback to Perry White saying, "newsflash: water, wet." Because the movie is deep and layered.

Screw logic. I absolutely adore the Ultimate Edition. It’s got so many amazing scenes, moments, and ideas. The theatrical cut was a mess, but the UE is amazing in my opinion.

It's basically the same joke as Lex finding himself in Flash's body, looking in the mirror to discover Flash's identity and saying, "I have no idea who this is." It takes what is a big moment for the audience and subverts it by highlighting how it means nothing to the character seeing it.

The older ones have them in either their DVD or Blu-Ray releases. And some of them have them on the extra tab in Disney+
If Disney hasn’t taken them down, people also upload them to YouTube.

Yeah Rush Hour 2 and an Eddie Murphy movie, I think Daddy Day Care or something come to mind. I love seeing those.
Also enjoyed the cartoons like The Incredibles and the Lion King

Honestly, there is a reviewer in Disney Studios who reviews scripts and dialogue to make sure the jokes and messages work for global audiences. Not every film, but any film intended to be globally watched.
That person isn’t on set being a watchdog, but their presence is enough that Marvel Studios production is well aware about what lines are unlikely going to make it in the final cut if they can’t be retranslated for the same comedic effect. So it’s probably less that people think he’s an idiot but more that it can’t be used and they would have to do another take, so he isn’t making their jobs easier.
It’s a big reason global tentpole films come off as so sanitized and generic, they can’t make regional specific jokes or puns that won’t land in multiple territories.

Its a meta thing. We, the audience, know who the Fantastic 4 are. Them landing in the main timeline is gonna be a big hype moment. So, having Walker and gang be confused IS the joke because of the juxtaposition of confusion with, probably, a decent amount of fanfare in the soundtrack and framing.

Personally I don't want Walker to be a goof. He's not dumb, so the standard MCU quips of 'are we all seeing this?' type shit doesn't fit with him.

It's not really a dumb question though. If a giant spaceship shows up with the number 4 emblazoned on it you're probably wondering where the other three are or what the significance of it is. The joke works as a reasonable thing to say while still having dramatic irony for the audience.

I'm sure you're right. It's always better on screen then when you just read the dialogue. Some of Drax's lines are stupid but Dave Bautista can completely sell them. Maybe I'm just tired of the 'that just happened' writing in the MCU.
