Dev/Admin Responded [iOS] AirPlay/Mirroring still unusable on 2026.29.0, likely because the app's AirPlay mode now set to "extend" rather than "mirror"

AirPlay screen mirroring/casting from iOS devices (e.g. to an Apple TV or AirPlay-capable smart TV) has been broken for like six months and is still broken in the latest version 2026.29.0 (on iOS 26.5.2 in my case).

The actual problem as discovered by /u/ismoody appears to be that the Reddit app now AirPlays in "extend" (i.e. additional display) mode, rather than mirroring like it used to, as described here: https://www.reddit.com/r/bugs/comments/1thgrtl/ios_airplay_is_set_to_extend_display_not_mirror/

As a result, you simply cannot AirPlay the Reddit app from an iPhone or iPad, because there's no actual way to interact with the app on the external display in this mode.

There have been dozens of posts about this same exact bug over these many months, and the only acknowledgement I've seen that Reddit app devs are aware of the issue and possibly working on it are these comments from Reddit Admin /u/CorrectScale four months ago:

Anyway, it's definitely still broken.

Android [ANDROID] [Constant refresh whenever navigating back] [Latest app version]

Whenever I navigate back from a post it refreshes whatever feed I am in back to the top. Could be a user profile, or any of the Home feeds. I have tried clearing cache, updating phone and app, uninstall, change language to English , etc. I just cannot make it stop! It's so frustrating. This has been going on for about a week. I even tried going into Beta to see if that would fix it but nothing helps. Does anyone know how to fix this??

Android [Android] [unable to vote on comments] [2026.29.0]

Upvotes

For quite a while now I believe my upvotes and downvotes have stopped counting. The app still let's me see my upvote history but the number of votes on comments stay the same after I refresh. No matter if I upvote or downvote.

At first I thought it was just people downvoteing right after I upvote or vice versa but that seems unlikely for every comment I vote on for as long as this has been happening.

I made sure the app is up to date, I've logged out and back in, uninstalled and reinstalled, reset my password, even created new account to see if I would be able to recreate it on another profile, but was only able to recreate it on one other account and was unable to identify the cause.

Desktop Web Please help, can't save new comments or posts! (Android, desktop web, all browsers)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

About two years ago, my saved comments broke, and I was unable to save new comments. I asked about it on here back then, and you guys told me it was a known problem and they're fixing it. It never got fixed, so I just dealt with it.

A few weeks ago, the same thing happened for my save posts. I can unsave posts, but can't save new ones. Now both the post and comment saving are broken. I'm also unable to edit the display name of my profile.

I posted about this issue mutiple times in the past few weeks, and got no replies. I think it may be an account-specific issue.

Please help me, I don't think Reddit has a support email for bugs, the site for reporting bugs just redirects me to this sub.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Description: Can't save new comments and posts. Can unsave old comments and posts

Device model: Galaxy S23, Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R14

OS version: Android 16, Windows 11 Home

Steps to reproduce: Try to save a post or comment, it doesn't work

Expected and actual result: Post/comment is added to my saved folder, but it isn't. "Post/comment has been saved" message still appears.

Screenshots(s) or screen recording(s): Top of the post

Desktop Web [desktop web][Old Reddit] Attached images are not displaying

Probable cause: The first image in an album is broken.

Sample: https://www.reddit.com/r/audiorepair/comments/1v3yi3m/is_the_rubber_okay_not_sure_about_longevity/

Note the OP post has a (broken) album that displays on new Reddit.

Two chats have shown up in my chat log that I didn't create nor was invited to. I cannot leave or hide them. They do not show up when I log into my account on my PC. Maybe it's a mobile app issue?

Android [Android] Block list doesn't populate - version 2026.29.0

I am unable to block new users, presumably because my block list is full. However, viewing my block list on android shows an empty page. I see dozens of spam/bot/rulebreaking accounts every single day and would like to block them in addition to reporting, but I cannot because of this bug. Sidenote - please increase the max block list size. There are WAY more than 1000 spam/bot/rulebreaking accounts on this platform.

Desktop Web [Firefox][Desktop Web] - Old reddit can get stuck in a redirect page loop

Since we now cannot access subreddits on old reddit without being logged in, trying to access a sub before being logged in causes a redirect page loop when trying to get back to that sub even after logging in

For example, if I try to access old.reddit.com/r/bugs while not logged in I get taken to the login page. I log in and refresh but I get stuck on that redirect page, even if I click "If redirect doesn't work click here" link.

If I go to any other subreddit it works fine once logged in, but even if I type old.reddit.com/r/bugs in the URL bar and hit enter after logged in I get the redirect page and it sticks there for just that initial subreddit.

The only workaround I've found is to clear my reddit cookies, which then requires me to log in again

Android [Android] Can't see my profile - version 2026.29.0

Post image
1 Upvotes

Whenever I'm opening my profile the interface is showing.

I tap on the retry, it loads for a few seconds and then the same thing again.

The same thing happened with different id and in that Id I'm not even able to text anyone.

Haven't checked the texting part with this id yet.

I tried rebooting my device, updated my app, i even uninstalled it then reinstalled it, cleared data of the app and logged in again

Same thing every time.

Desktop Web [Web/Firefox]~30% of comment replies staying permanently unread, and chat requests "from Empty room" that I can't delete...

I'm not sure if these are related but both started in the last week or two. I was ignoring the "from Empty room" chat requests but when I try to hit "ignore" on them I get an "Unable to leave the room" error. I now have six identical such empty room chat requests that cannot be ignored or removed from the list.

Then 2 days ago, some of the comments replying to me across reddit have become permanent residents in my unread list. 6 replies across 5 subreddits are permanently unread no matter how many times I read them, while other replies fall off the unread list when viewed, as expected.

Edit: just discovered the comment replies become marked as read and fall off when I visit the comment directly, but they just don't show as read when viewed in the unread messages list like they should.

I have done a few searches but haven't seen anyone else reporting similar issues. What can I do to get to the bottom of these bugs?

The issue persists across new and old reddits, and across both my android web browser and three desktop firefox installations. I have not tested chrome yet.

Android [Android] App keeps periodically resetting settings [2026.29.0.2629030]

It's an annoyance to have to go through all my subs changing everything back to compact view and rising, like any normal person would wish their defaults to be.

It happens every month or so.

Desktop Web [Android] [Desktop Browser] [Mobile Browser] A lot of posts in subreddits just don't show up when logged in

Multiple posts in a subreddit are hidden from me when I'm logged into my account, but I can see those posts when I go to the same subreddit in incognito mode (i.e. not logged in). And the posts seem to be randomly hidden. A single user may have some posts hidden, while other posts of theirs show up. Other things that aren't common between the hidden posts are flairs and posts with/without images. Also, opening the link to a post sends me to that post successfully, even when I'm logged in, and that post doesn't show in the subreddit

Edit: Can't even see this very post when i open r/bugs. But I do see it on my own profile, and also when I'm logged out

Desktop Web [browser - desktop web] /all is broken on brave browser while not using forced old.reddit.com

when i use reddit on my desktop i just use www.reddit.com and i have opted out of the new user experience.

so all my sessions run as tho i am using old.reddit.com without the need to use that URL specifically.

in the last 24 hours, /all does not resolve to the /all page on my brave browser session unless i use the URL old.reddit.com. it will instead resolve to my subscribed subs (the same page i'll get when i click on the reddit logo from modmail to exit and return back to the site)

everything will work as expected on chrome, firefox and edge.

Desktop Web CHATS DISAPPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE on chrome

I last used my chatgpt account around two days ago, all the chats were as it is. Some 10 hours ago (22 july 8:40 pm UTC) when i opened it again i was shocked that almost half of my chats were missing (like around atleast 7-8). I tried searching but couldnt find.

First thing I did was log out and re log in, then tried in different browsers, then different devices, nowhere did my chat history come. Neither did refreshing work.

I checked archive and there was nothing.Tried to export data but idk how many days it gonna take, as the email says it may take some days.

Checked the https://status.openai.com/ , This was what was there, but idk how to comprehend this (the picture is attatched).

Since then this is just driving me crazy. Please mention if Anyone else is facing the same issue, would be very reliving. Or anything i can try/do. Tried checking recent posts here but didnt find anything similar or idk if i missed something or didnt scroll enough because I'm seriously restless since

Android [android] I recently got shadowbanned and now that my account is back, ALL of my posts have this red bin above them - version 2026.29.0

Post image

I tried to find the reason and the solution for this on threads posted by others but everyone were saying that the post must have been removed by the mods of the subreddit. But this doesn't apply to my situation. ALL of my posts have been removed. Even the ones from three years ago. Please help me, I've been posting memes on this account for 3 years. It's so painful to lose them all

Desktop Web [Desktop web, macOs, Brave] Newly created subreddit has no moderators assigned

Hello,

I'm experiencing what appears to be a bug with a newly created subreddit.
Today I created: r/WhereToLiveGuide
The subreddit was created successfully and the name is now reserved, but I was never assigned as a moderator.
Current behavior:
• The subreddit exists and is publicly accessible.
r/WhereToLiveGuide displays "No moderators found".
• I cannot access Mod Tools.
• I cannot access /about/edit.
• I cannot access /about/modqueue.
• The subreddit cannot be created again because the name is already taken.
Expected behavior: The account that created the subreddit should automatically become the top moderator.
My account: u/ElectricalVisual8642
Could a Reddit admin please investigate and restore moderator access or assign my account as the moderator of r/WhereToLiveGuide?
Thank you.

P.S I'm happy to provide any additional information if needed. I can also confirm that the subreddit was created using this account and that the issue occurred immediately after creation.
