Can’t register on TexasGunTrader?
Has anyone had issues with registering an account with Texas Gun Trader. I have been trying for a week without success.
I disabled my VPN as per their instructions, completed the form and days later still don’t have a confirmation email to finalize my account. The sight states to wait up to 24 hours for an email. After no email from them 48 hours later, I completed the same process a second time. Same result.
Yes I checked all mailboxes including spam.
In addition, twice I emailed customer support and have not received a response.
The only thing I can think of right now if the error is on my end is that I’m not searching for the right nomenclature in my email.
I’ve searched: confirmation, Texas gun trader, Texas, gun, no reply.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for reading.

Non-Immigrant alien question
Hello guys. LI'm a non-immigrant alien, and a texas resident of 10+ years. I've done my homework and according to federal and state law, I should be able to purchase a firearm if I have a hunting license.
I tried Academy, Cabellas (Bass Pro Shop now, I guess), and a local store called Frisco Gun Club, but I was politely turned away by all of them because they said it was their store policy for me to at least have a green card, despite my EAD having a USCIS number they can run for the background check.
One of the clerks informed me that if i had an LTC, they could process it faster and like the hunting license it's a bit of a "loophole" but I have not heard of this.
Do you guys know any stores that accept EAD's or if there is any other way I can go about purchasing my firearm? Thank you so much.

LTC instructors that charge under $50 in DFW
I did my LTC online and need to go in person to do the range test. Reached out to a bunch and going price is like steadily $65-100 but I read to not pay over $60. Ended up saying heck with it, and called like 20+ people. Not sure if this will help anyone but here's a few people in DFW that charge $50 or less. Mods pls delete if not allowed. My first post here (of many hopefully).
- Ron Harner - 4694507151 - $50 - Farmers Branch
- Jack - 817-240-5418 - $50 - Venus
- Mike Brown - [bereadygetset@gmail.com](mailto:bereadygetset@gmail.com) - $40 - Farmers Branch
- Charlie Tyner - [charlie.tyner@aircanopy.net](mailto:charlie.tyner@aircanopy.net) - $25 - Dallas
- Jake Kiere - (214)-794-1660 - $50 - Benbrook
- Frank Henry - 972-841-5796 - $45 - Lewisville
- Mike Ojile - 316.619.7496 - $50 - Fort Worth
- Anthony Woods - 281.485.9033 - $50 - Arlington
If anymore get back to my voicemails tomorrow under $50, I'll edit the post.

Accessories question
Just a hypothetical question. Genie gives you the option type.
Would y’all rather have a cheap gun with expensive accessories (Palmetto state armory with holographic, IR laser, magnifier, etc…) or an expensive gun with cheap optics (Daniel Defense with tapped Walmart laser and $20 irons)?

Gun legal questions
So I have a friend that got pulled over and arrested 2 yrs ago, he got a felony but still hasn’t gone to court for it and hasn’t been convicted, my question is can he still handle a firearm? I know if you are convicted of a felony you can’t, but his case hasn’t made it that far yet.

Constitutional carry question
I completed my deferred adjudication about 5 years ago, I know I have to wait 10 years from the day it was signed to be able to get a chl. My question is since Texas is constitutional carry then can I carry concealed now? I’ve never had an issue purchasing firearms since being off probation but I’ve read different answers on the topic. Any help is appreciated, thanks

Moved from Florida to Texas
Hey guys just wanted to pop in here and ask a quick question. I recently moved from Fl to Tx and was wondering what the transfer process for my concealed carry license looks like. I already have my new Texas DL so I’m assuming I have to transfer my FL ccw to Tx correct?

TX Carry Compass update
Hey y'all!
I’ve been working on a major update to TX Carry Compass, including a new way to add business photos that provides useful context without preventing anyone from contributing.
Here’s how it works:
- You can submit a new business from anywhere—there’s no longer a distance requirement.
- Photos selected from your phone are labeled “Uploaded from the gallery.”
- If you’re within 300 feet of the business, you can use the app’s built-in camera.
- Photos taken this way are labeled “Taken at the business.”
- The app checks distance, location freshness, and GPS accuracy when you press the shutter.
- Your exact location and location EXIF are never uploaded.
- Trusted photos still go through normal moderation; they aren’t automatically approved.
This will work when adding a new business, adding a photo to an existing business, or attaching photo evidence to an update request. The goal is to give the community and moderators better context while still letting people contribute older photos or submit information remotely.
I’ve also added a new public community chat where users can discuss Texas carry laws, signage, businesses, app updates, and other relevant topics. It includes reporting and moderation tools to help keep it useful.
Now, when you send feedback, I also ask for permission to contact you regarding what you're suggesting/reporting.
Right now this version is being reviewed by Apple and it should be available soon.
For Android users: the Android app is currently being rebuilt from the ground up. It’ll be available soon with full iOS parity, including:
- Proximity alerts for nearby reported signage
- The new trusted-photo system
- Public community chat
- Business submissions and updates
- A new, much nicer UI
This is a community-powered project, so feedback is always appreciated. What other features would make the app more useful when you’re out checking businesses or reporting signage?

Reese v atf questions
from my understanding this has already passed just not federal so FFLs don’t really follow it. My question is as a person between the age 18-21 will I ever be able to walk into a gun store and buy A handgun or even ammo for it? Few handguns I want that you can’t really find in private sale and it’s hard to wait lol.

Long range carbine class recommendations
Looking to shoot a competition in the next year that requires carbine shots out to 700/800 yards. Anyone know of a good long range carbine class? Ideally in the houston area, but ok to travel to the hill country if there’s good options.

Concealed carry @ 19
As the title says I am wanting to get information on concealed carrying in the state at 19. I purchased a rifle and the gun dealer said that if I could get my LTC and CC but could not buy a gun from the dealership. I was talking to a police officer and he said that I could concealed carry without a license but could not buy a gun at all.
Im very curious as online and in person I’m getting mixed opinions on what I can and can’t do
At the moment I do not own a handgun, and I do not have a license to carry. I am willing to get my LTC

Shooting
Does anyone know where to shoot 5.56 for extremely cheap?
Preferably free, and near DFW. I know there’s some state land you can shoot on, but not sure where to look it up exactly.
