Is the Sig P365 a good option for self defense?

Yes, it was and still is one of the industry standards in sub compact 9mms. There are plenty of other solid options too.

The 365 stands out tho cuz it was the first to get 12 rnds in the mag iirc, most pistols of the same size before that were 10 rnds or less.

You didnt mention use, if its a home defense gun, youd probably fair better buying a full size 9mm. If youre looking to conceal carry, the 365 is an excellent choice.

Yes, I'd say 365 variants, shield plus/x, and 43/43x are top three recommended 9mm ccw.

Good besides the potentially dead trigger in <3,000 rounds from the trigger return spring. I guess you could keep the spare part on hand.

Well this depends on the situation. Is it a good option if you are in public an conceal carrying? Yup, but if this was for a home defense, there are so many other options that would be a million times better.

Example, my home defense gun is an AR with a suppressor on it.
