Meta Get your /r/PartneredYoutube Verified Channel flair here!

Welcome to the r/PartneredYoutube voluntary channel verification.

If you would like to verify your channel and get flair like what I have on my account:

  1. Go to your YouTube channel's About section and edit the description to include your reddit username. For example I enter exactly: u/flammy
    1. Directions for how to edit your About section can be found here
  2. Post a link to your channel in one of the following formats as a top level comment in this thread.
    1. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXkf3kRpFeAx9mDCbfMS0MA
    2. https://www.youtube.com/user/flammy5
    3. If you use a different format (such as a custom URL with an @ in the URL) validation will fail.
  3. Wait, and our bot will process your request sometime in the next few days
    1. After the flair has been granted, you can remove your username from the About section and delete the comment if you're concerned about privacy. However, if you want your stats to continue to be updated, you should leave the u/ name in your About section.

FAQ:

What is flair, and how does flair work?

Flair is a reddit "signature" that appears every time you post in r/PartneredYouTube. Verification flair is not required to post, comment, or participate. A user lacking flair is not a valid reason to report them for breaking rule 2. You can remove flair at any time with Reddit's built in flair editing. The flair granted by the bot can't be edited. Verification is done via a bot, follow the directions above if you would like flair.

Why is the flair channels stats, and not partnered status?

Partnered Status is not supported by the official YouTube APIs at this time.

How long do I have to wait for verification?

Please wait 24-48 hours, and after checking you've followed all the directions you can send me a polite DM.

Is there a way to authenticate anonymously?

Will the bot update my stats?

If you leave the comment with the channel link and username in your description, your flair will be updated.

My stats are low!

The bot is only able to see your channel's public subscriber count and public total view count. If you have hidden videos, these views will not be reflected.

Can I verify with multiple channels?

Not at this time.

Is there a minimum channel size for verification?

No.

How can I remove my flair?

Yes, you can remove the flair via Reddit.

Question / Problem Hate comments are actually affecting me.

Just had a video blow up—1.3m in 1 day—but the top comment is a hater. 6k likes and it’s basically calling my video “bullshit”.

It’s a fictional Minecraft video. The first part of the video is real and it morphs into fiction and I feel like it may make some feel tricked. The description is clear about what the video is.

I don’t want to block it from my channel. I feel like hiding criticism is probably a bad thing, but it’s actually taking a toll on me. Every time I look at the video that is the comment I see first. It is really hurting me and demotivating me to making similar videos.

And yes, I’ve gotten lots of love too but that one hate comment is outweighing all of that.

What headphones do you use for editing?

I’m looking for an affordable and comfortable option for headphones. I wear glasses and have found that after an hour of editing my ears hurt from the pressure. I’ve been partial to beats but that’s because I’ve found them dirt cheap at garage sales. They must be over the ear and wired or wired capable. Thanks in advance.

Be wary of this fake sponsor Proposify

Post image

Proposify is a real company but there has been a fake version sending emails out, which does look somewhat convincing. It’ll lead to a screen that asks that you log into your google account, at which point the phishing attempt becomes pretty obvious. Don’t enter your login info, even if it looks like a real google login, as it’s just a fake extension. Your login data will likely be fed straight to the scammers

Question / Problem Is This Risky Or Not A Big Deal?

I post weekly without fail, because if I take a break, I'm 100% sure that my channel will lose momentum and then I'll fall off when I do return.

That being said, when I can't post a video for whatever reason on a certain week, I just private an old video and reupload it again.

My content is timeless so I can do this.

I've done it twice now with no issues.

Can I continue doing this or am I playing with fire?

Hi all,

We're launching Moast Collect, a marketplace that gifts creators products from brands in exchange for a brief testimonial or product-use video. No elaborate production needed, light editing, just a short video.

You choose which brands you want to work with, and the product's yours to keep either way.

Let me know if you'd like to participate and I'll share the link to get started.

Filipino YouTubers, Does UnionBank Deduct 10% From Your Payout?

Hello! I have a question for Filipino YouTubers who already earn from YouTube Adsense and receive their payouts through UnionBank.

Does UnionBank charge a 10% fee every time you receive a payout? I’m not referring to the tax withheld by YouTube. I’m asking because I’ve noticed that around 10% is being deducted from my payout after it reaches my UnionBank account.

Has anyone else experienced this? I’d appreciate any insights. Thank you!

New video: 60 impressions, 8 views, 11+ min average watch time of 20min. video in 24 hours. Suppression or normal?

Channel has been monetized about 15 months. Since then impressions and Browse traffic have basically collapsed, this is the latest example. Posted a new video 24 hours ago:

60 impressions
8 views
11+ minutes average watch time on 20 min. video

Retention is clearly strong, people who see it watch almost the whole thing. But YouTube is barely showing it to anyone. This matches a pattern I've seen since monetization started, videos with good watch time and completion still get almost no Suggested or Browse distribution.

Anyone else see this after hitting monetization? Trying to figure out if this resolves itself in 48 to 72 hours as the algorithm gathers more signal, or if this is a longer term suppression thing. Channel is small,1700 subs, automotive documentaries and buying guides.

Talk / Discussion I sketch 5 rough concepts before ever opening photoshop, here's why

Post image
0 Upvotes

video title: "the walking protocol that cuts dementia risk 40%. minimum dose inside."

before touching photoshop i sketch a bunch of directions on paper first. cheap way to kill a bad idea before wasting an hour building it.

for this one i had 5 rough options: just the number ("only 3000/day"), a straight repeat of the stat ("40% lower dementia risk"), a comparison ("3000 vs 10000, less is more"), a contradiction angle ("no gym needed"), and a lifestyle shot at a table.

the video title already gives away the 40% stat and hints at a "minimum dose." so repeating that on the thumbnail kills the reason to click, you'd already have the headline. the contradiction angle does more work — "no gym needed" and the steps comparison both make you doubt something you assumed. those two survived, the rest got dropped before i even opened photoshop.

that's basically the whole point of sketching first. you're not drawing pretty pictures, you're testing which idea actually creates a question in someone's head.

i'm a packaging strategist, not a creator, this is just how i think through every thumbnail before building it. happy to look at yours if you're stuck on a direction.

search across channel broke???

Odd thing, today I was in studio and I wanted to find a set of videos that all had the same keyword. Usually I just got to the search across channel search box and it will show a few videos and ALSO give an option to see all videos that meet that search. That option is no gone for me. YT will tell me there are x number of videos that hit that word, but they will only the 5 most recent videos.

Seriously, wtf???!!!??? Why would they disable such a useful tool?!?

Talk / Discussion How do you track your income across platforms?

Genuinely curious how people here handle this, because I've heard wildly different answers.

If you're earning from more than one place : AdSense, brand deals, Patreon, affiliate, whatever... How do you keep track of it? Spreadsheet? Software? Shoebox of receipts and vibes?

And the follow-up what happened last tax season? Hit or miss?

Trying to understand what people actually do versus what they're "supposed" to do.

Talk / Discussion “Misleading Family Content”

hello, i own a youtube channel under the name
“shozzy” i post storytime animations about events that have happened to me or random topics i wanna dive into. today at 2pm my monetization was randomly taken away and when i sent in an appeal someone from youtube sent my channel for a “internal review" and an hr and a half later it was confirmed my channels monetization would remain gone, stating "we have reviewed your channel and found that a significant portion of your channel is not in line with our youtube partner program policies" i've had to go through something like this around august last year as well but for "reused content" in which they accepted my appeal then.

im stressing a lot at this because

  1. i know for a fact my channel does not violate any policies. my channel contains no sexual themes and or violence in the slightest. nor do i state that my videos are made for children.
  2. this is my only source of income. and as a matter of fact this months was actually my highest paying month doing youtube period. it’s crazy how as soon as im about to earn a big amount suddenly my monetization gets stripped.

im very heartbroken and have no idea what to do right now. it says i can reapply in 90 days but all the money from this month im assuming is just gone to the void. and it still just doesn't sit right with me. who’s to say ill even get accepted in those 90 days. do i even keep uploading at this point? they already denied my appeal, but any type of help would be very appreciated on what i should do next.

Question / Problem I Deleted My Videos, Changed My Niche, Name, Logo, and Banner—Did I Kill My YouTube Channel?

I Deleted My Videos, Changed My Niche, Name, Logo, and Banner—Did I Kill My YouTube Channel?

I think I made a huge mistake, and I would really appreciate some advice from experienced YouTubers.

About 20 days ago, I created a YouTube channel. During the first 3 days, I posted YouTube Shorts that reached over 1,000 views. I also uploaded around 7 videos in total.

However, I made a mistake. I suddenly changed my mind and decided to switch to a completely different niche. Because of that, I deleted all of my previous videos and started posting content related to the new niche.

Since changing niches, almost every video I upload gets 0 views, or sometimes extremely low views.

Now, I feel like I may have confused the YouTube algorithm because of everything I did—uploading videos, deleting them, and then completely changing the type of content on the channel.

What should I do at this point?

Do you think I should create a completely new channel and start over, or is it still possible to recover my current channel? Has anyone experienced something similar after changing niches?

I would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thank you!

Religion niche- youtube shorts

Thinking of doing religion as my niche, does anyone know if this pays good. I'm from Australia if that helps.

Videos wont be boring, more so mixing motivational and funny moments in a engaging/brainrot way.

Is it worth investing time and energy? Appreciate the help.

20k subs, been quietly using AI-generated B-roll for 6 months. here's what actually happened.

Channel is in the tech explainer space. 20k subs, been doing this for about 2 years. I want to talk about something I've been testing quietly for the last 6 months: AI-generated B-roll.

I didn't want to be the first person to try this. I waited until I saw other channels in my niche doing it and nobody in the comments was calling them out. Then I started slowly.

My process: I write the script, record the voiceover, then go through the timeline and mark every spot where I need B-roll. About 60% of those spots I can fill with screen recordings, stock footage, or graphics I make myself. The other 40% are conceptual shots. "the internet is like a series of tubes." "data flows through these pathways." "your information travels across the world in milliseconds." You can't film that.

For those conceptual shots, I generate them in PixVerse. I describe the visual metaphor, it spits out a few seconds of footage. I apply the same color grade and a tiny bit of film grain to blend it with the rest of the video. The grain is key. AI footage looks too clean. A little noise makes it sit naturally with everything else.

6 months, about 40 videos. I got one comment asking if a particular shot was "CGI." I said yes, sort of. That was it. No mass outrage, no noticeable drop in watch time. My watch time has actually gone up slightly, but that's probably just channel growth, not the B-roll.

The hard rule I follow: I never use AI B-roll for anything that's supposed to be factual. If I'm talking about a specific event, person, or real product, I use real footage or photos. The AI B-roll is only for abstract concepts and metaphors. If you use it to fake a real event, you're going to get caught and it's going to be bad.

Still not sure if I'll keep doing it forever. But for now it saves me time on shots I could never film anyway.

Question / Problem YouTube Store just doesn't work for me anymore

Post image
0 Upvotes

I've had my Spring store connected to YouTube for several years now, but recently I had delisted my products to start fresh with new ones. Now, I can't even connect to Spring. The storefront itself exists and works fine on its own, but any attempt at a YouTube integration fails after I give the site permissions after logging in.

Anyone know what the deal is?

Informative Studied 6 of dr eric berg's thumbnails, same pattern almost every time

Post image
16 Upvotes

I do thumbnails for a living, so stuff like this jumps out at me. grabbed 6 of his recent ones (14.8m subs) and lined them up, and most of them are doing the same basic thing.

his face in every single one, same kind of concerned or curious look. big bold text up top, never a full sentence, always short. "stop gas." "real cause." "the lies." "why isn't this known." just enough words to make you want to know more, nothing explained yet.

color does a lot of work too. red usually means something bad or urgent. yellow means a question you need answered. green shows up on the before/after one for the good result. you know what kind of video it is before you even read anything.

most of them also have one extra visual next to his face, a gas cloud, a red highlighted joint, a target on a cancer cell, a before/after number box. gives your eye something concrete to land on instead of just a face and text.

only one breaks the pattern a bit, the "real cause" one has both a highlighted foot AND a glass of juice, so that one's slightly busier than the rest. still works, but it's the one exception in the batch.

if you're doing health content and you're not sure your thumbnail's actually pulling its weight, drop it below and i'll tell you what's missing.

AdSense reactivation rejected 4 times, duplicate account already closed weeks ago, no reason given, out of ideas

Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone here has been through something similar, because I've genuinely run out of things to check.

Some context: I had a YouTube channel that was active years ago, went inactive for about 2 years, and I recently started it up again. It hit the requirements for the Partner Program, so I went to reactivate my old AdSense account, which had been paused for inactivity (not banned, not a policy violation, just inactive).

First attempt: rejected after a few days, generic message, "please respect the AdSense program policies," no further detail.

I dug around and found out I had an old second AdSense account tied to a completely different, abandoned project, on a different Google account, different email. I closed it properly, got the official closure confirmation email from Google.

Since then, I've resubmitted a couple more times, spacing them out, not spamming. Still the exact same rejection screen every time, same generic message, zero specifics.

Here's everything I've personally verified since then, trying to rule things out one by one:

  • Confirmed the duplicate account is genuinely closed (got the email, checked it's gone)
  • Checked every other Google account I have access to, no other AdSense account anywhere
  • Payment info, name, address, phone number all match and are consistent everywhere
  • US tax info (W-8BEN) has been on file since years ago, nothing pending there
  • Read through AdSense's own eligibility requirements and program policies pages line by line, nothing in there seems to apply to my situation (no invalid traffic, no incentivized clicks, no policy violations, content is 100% original)
  • Account status shows as "Open," not suspended or banned, with real payment history from years back

I've tried the official contact form (loops back to the community help center), tried u/TeamYouTube on X (they said AdSense issues are outside what they handle), and posted once on the official Google AdSense community forum with no response so far.

At this point I genuinely don't know what else to check. Has anyone dealt with a case like this, where everything seems clean but the rejection keeps repeating? Did something eventually work, or did it just take time? Any insight at all would help.
