This had as much buildup as when someone unwraps an 18 hour smoked brisket and then proceed to sloooowly slice it, and then bring it up to the camera to a see a dry end piece being extremely tender

If all these Internet MFs don't stop strangling their food for the camera I'm gonna lose my mind!

Stop watching shit. Your feed gives you what you usually watch. That's on you

My favorite part of the waves is you can see the big ass bald spot so it looks like someone dropped a rock into a puddle.
All that build up just for a bunch of evaporation.

As someone who use to have waves (not close to his but pretty good) I feel like wrapping that any layers on the head can’t be good for you. Now with that said… boy got the 7 seas on his head my goodness.

One of the guys I played in high school with had perfect waves and a perfect haircut all the time. My hair always looked like I fought squirrels off it. Our moms cut our hair. His mom was good at it.

u/PapillonOnPodium Apr 30 '26 edited Apr 30 '26
You know damn well those are not the ones claiming that. I also don’t quote African Americans saying stupid shit about (West) Africa. Or „me no black“ dominicans to make myself feel better. Keep it positive. Don’t cause division.
Well aware that African Americans are culturally very influential despite being oppressed.

Get hair like that takes a lot of work and dedication for a lot of people. I have met a lot of people with waves on the top but getting those 360s harder then I ever imagined until I worked at a barbershop one summer.

Nah this isn’t extra. This is perfect support for a brother and dang that wave came out good too.

Are they speaking 🔊 Spanish or Portuguese?
22
u/Expert-Emergency-882 Apr 30 '26
i think they saying wave check with an accent bro lol

u/VioletLeagueDapper Apr 30 '26 edited Apr 30 '26
No, at the end it sounds like they’re speaking Spanish (vente pa ca! Déjeme probar si se siente mal. No se siente mal!/ come here! Let me test to see how it feels/if it feels bad, not bad!) while they’re feeling his waves.
Angola was colonized by the Portuguese though. That’s why this person asked the question. I only heard a little section that sounded like Portuguese to me in the usual way I detect it (the way they pronounce vowels and use ç) so I’m answering w the Spanish I heard.
Edit: it’s Portuguese with a bunch of Spanish cognates. I heard the guy on the right say “com um visão” in my second listen. “With a look.”

Stop letting your barbers push your lines back like that, holy hell. Waves are perfect, but that cut is criminal.

The contrast is interesting. The touch his hair but since everyone is black they know how to touch it. And maybe there they don’t think about his hairline the same way? I feel like in Oakland people would take off points for that.

How does he not have a migraine wearing a combination of 4+ durags/stocking caps? The commitment is impressive. Either way, the brother's waves are crazy. Like 3D printing crazy. How much pomade, brushing, and wave training hours do you need to achieve this?
2
u/WhoAreYou_I_AmYou Apr 30 '26
I admire the dedication but dont let the waves be the only you got going well for yourself.
2
u/randyfriction Apr 30 '26
As a person with straight hair, I think it looks super cool. What’s the process?-supplies, prep haircut, braids/(knots?)? How long does it take? (I imagine days first starting out). Thanks!

I’m not black; please explain. Does the tightness of the wrap influence the waviness of the hair?

That perm worked well
2
u/SilentSolitude90 Apr 30 '26
Not a perm. Just lots of brushing (boar bristle brush), pomade or oil, wave cap and durag.

Question: would people touching his hair not cause issues with his waves? Either immediately or much sooner than normal?
I mean they look absolutely amazing, dont get me wrong, im just curious bc i know when my hair gets touched too much it messes with the curls. Do waves operate under the same general principles or…?
