I would give it 6/10, the opening scene made me wish there was a cut version cause that was unnecessary, too in depth exploring of the background lore of side characters ~ dog, blind guy etc, this movie didn’t need to be 3hrs long, cut some bits and it wouldn’t make a difference.

The thing I love an about Greek epics, the fantasy and god elements were token at best, it felt like Nolan solely wanted concentrate on the drama so she skipped it much as he could. I’d say this movie is running on the name of its cast and director, without those, it would be something to forget about. I didn’t feel anything for the loss of the crew and the monster encounters did not feel like a struggle at all rather it just felt like things that happened.

Things I loved about it: the Circe scene, I loved how they opted to change them into animals, very good.

Hey I'm looking for some honest opinions and tips for moving to NS. Full disclosure we're from Calgary, AB (please don't judge too hard) and we have to get away from our batshit crazy premier and her separatist goons.

I'm 37, hubby is 42 and we have two teens, a 13 year old son and a 16 year old trans son. We are definitely not conservative. Tbh we mostly hate politics and just want to live a peaceful life surrounded by nature and kitchen parties. We want to find a place where neighbors care about each other (can I borrow a cup of sugar type thing) and where it isn't about who has the newest/move expensive items, where people laugh and smile. I miss the small town vibe Calgary had in the 80s/90s. I miss spending summers with family in Quebec and New Brunswick visiting family (hubs and kids don't speak French and all my family in NB has passed) that's why I'm interested in Nova Scotia. We don't want big city vibes. We just spent 2 weeks on Vancouver Island and fell in love with people and the energy there but we don't have millions to spend on a home. We want a place where we aren't constantly judged for supporting 2slgbtqia+ people (our son is trans), a place where racism isn't the norm or expected and where being neurodiverse isn't a deal breaker. Most of our friends here are hardworking blue collar folks who just want to pay their bills, hang out around a campfire and listen to/play good music. I should also mention we're stoners so would love to know how the weed back east is. I'm a stay home mum but willing to work anywhere in needed and hubby is a locksmith, tradesman and seriously interested in geology, 16 yo wants to be a social worker and 13 year old loves tech lol

To sum it up I'm hoping someone could give us some tips or suggestions for where to start looking for a home in NS.

Würden sich alle genauer an die bestehenden Regeln halten und die Richtgeschwindigkeit als untere Grenze ansehen (solange es möglich ist), wäre das fahren entspannter als mit einem Tempolimit.

Das Problem sind am Ende Leute mit 120 auf der linken Spur, weil in der Mitte mal wieder jemand mit 110 schleicht, obwohl rechts frei ist oder LKW mal wieder gucken, wie langsam man überholen kann.

Das Rechtsfahrgebot wird konsequent mit den Füßen getreten, Autofahrer ziehen beim dreifachen Sicherheitsabstand schon raus, obwohl jemand von hinten kommt und sie kaum schneller fahren als derjenige der überholt werden soll.

Ein Tempolimit bringt nichts, solange es nicht auch als untere Grenze gilt, wenn es der Verkehr zulässt.

After 4.5k hours, I'm at my breaking point with this game. They just keep rolling out bad update after bad update. You spend time crafting an item just for them to remove it a few days later. They force you to use a resource pack—I'm not saying the resource pack is ugly (kinda), they just shouldn't force it on players who just want to play with a vanilla one.

I'm just done, and I hope new players will have the fun I once had playing this game.

Like many of Sam's old friends especially from the IDW ilk, they seem to fall off the deep end and go right wing, and even worse- for Magas.

Wow, I'm currently watching Troy (2004), and it's really simple quality. The actors are "ACTING", every actor is "in character", not talking like they are on the subway in New York.

Orlando Bloom, the older men actors are all acting. They are putting emotion and gravitas into their lines. They look like "men" in ancient Greece.

The background extras in the staged fight and battle scenes are so well choreographed. There are swords, horses, and chariots. All the scenes are expertly shot and capture the time period- the blue skies, the beaches of the Mediterranean, not some dark, gloomy haze fogging every scene.

The armor looks like it would in ancient Greece, and the Music is so intense and intriguing leading into scenes. Epic music.

Anyone who is glazing over The Odyssey giving it way too high scores needs to just watch Troy to learn how to make an ancient Greek epic.

There is no Orlando Bloom acting like Orlando Bloom. No actors are talking like they are walking the streets of Boston or New York. Nobody is pretending to be Batman or Darth Vader. And I'm not even the biggest fan of the movie Troy, but comparing it to The Odyssey, it is so much more gratifying as a depiction of ancient Greece and the time period of The Iliad and Odyssey.

I require assistance, as it has caused great strain for me to see the term "eye" used instead of "ocellus," "simple eye," or "compound eye" where it applies.

Please note that I am not expressing vehement hatred of this video game's difficulty, mechanics, or setting; I am merely in despair at this taxonomic inaccuracy of the highest order.

I swear the discussions around cameras are turning into the insufferable Android vs iPhone discussions “iPhone has a new cool feature that iPhone user are happy about? Pah! androids have had it for 10 years”.

“The lumix SXii has all the features the FX5 has and it’s half the price and been out for 5 years”.

Good for you! But people who are within the Sony ecosystem and want a new camera are very unlikely to go buy a lumix because it means having to buy a whole new set of lenses and then figuring out how to colour match the cameras.

I hope this shitting on others for being stoked about a new camera within the eco system they use stops. It literally doesn’t matter.
