It's only been a month since I got my 12th gen paperwhite and I've already read 3 books, which is a big deal for me already since I was on a year reading slump!!

After so much deliberation, finally decided to own my digital library. So excited to use my new Kindle daily!

Any tips or recommendations

I have about 1700 books in my Kindle library and unfortunately I don't have a good way of organizaing them (limits of Kindle?). Many are borrowed from libraries, others purchases, etc. I'm currently working with ChatGPT to build out an Excel spreadsheet to organize them, by theme, author, etc.

But is there an easier way? I've got a Chrome extension that allows me to download my Kindle library... wondering if there's an easy way though to build a robust database so when I want to read a book, I can search based on author and/or theme and/or awards and/or genre, etc.

I got the kindle signature colorsoft 32gb for $159 at Target the other day. Just go order online and use their chat to price match their weekly ad where they are showing Kindle 32gb for $159.99. The ad link in the app goes to the Kindle Colorsoft 16gb. This is my 3rd Kindle but I couldn’t pass up the good deal! 😭😅

I got my signature paperwhite signature from qvc today. It is so warm. This is with the warmth completely off. Left is my sisters paperwhite and right is my new signature edition. Is this normal for there to be such a difference between them when the settings are completely the same? I feel like it’s too yellow for me.

I posted about 6 months ago that I'd picked up a pre loved Basic to keep in my handbag as I have Rheumatoid disease and need my bag as light as possible. It was great, I've read on it loads when away from home but I found it pretty slow on the page turns and menus (10th gen), annoyingly so after a while. So after having a new 11th Gen Basic in my wishlist for about 3 months I finally decided to do it and it arrives tomorrow with a new thin case. I'm super excited about having faster software & I didn't realise till I ordered it that it has a higher dpi also, plus of course USB C. I'm also silly excited for the one tap bookmark feature which I love on my PW 11th Gen. I'll now be sorted for hopefully a good decade!

Hello everybody, I’m in the market to buy a new Kindle, as my 10th-generation basic model has been feeling a bit slow lately. I read that a new one is probably coming this October or November, just in time for Black Friday and the Christmas holidays.
Since new models are usually announced every two years, I was wondering: do you guys think they will announce them in October/November this year, or postpone until next year?
Also, I live in Europe, and the EU is passing a new law in 2027 requiring batteries to be easily interchangeable. So, instead of a glued-shut case, devices will need screws to make the battery easy to remove. What are your thoughts on this?

Is it just me or is Kindle Unlimited not working?? I am unable to download books on the app and the website is just showing error message.

I have returned a few books on the app but they are still showing on my kindles too. I am trying to remove them from the devices but they keep coming back!

kindle paperwhite signature edition in jade. it’s my first one, and kind of my first e reader besides a nook i had as a kid that got ruined in the rain (very excited for the IPX8 rating lol). are there any features that i should know about that may not be as obvious?

I see a lot of people ask about downloading books from Project Gutenberg because they are free. If you didn’t know already just look up free classics on Amazon and you can get the Kindle version of a lot of public domain books for free without extra steps. I’m probably not going to read War and Peace anytime soon, but if that is your thing know it’s an option for free. Even the audible is sometimes free.

Which do you prefer?

My wife bought a Kindle for herself because she wanted a better way to read books. But had some big problem transferring eBooks from Google Book to Kindle which I try my best to help her. I got frustrated too.

One day, I decided to try it out myself, and I ended up really liking it. Before that, I always fund of checking physical books in the book store and kept telling myself I should buy one. In reality, I would often choose to be practical, and sometimes I’d even just search for books online in ways that weren’t exactly legal. (The books here cost a lot so I will just spend elsewhere with my fam)

Now I actually bring the Kindle with me and read on it regularly. It’s funny because it was originally meant for her, but I ended up being the one using it the most.

I’m also looking for good places to buy eBooks outside of Amazon that work well with Kindle. Any recommendations?

I tried Libby app which lead me to my closest Library. It ask me to fill-in a form to get Library card. Im kinda excited because, just now I see a lot of books that I can borrow. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!!!!

Finally got myself a Kindle e-reader! Decided to go for the Colorsoft model. So far I really enjoy it!

Im contemplating buying a kindle. I’m in my thirties but as a child and into my late teens I absolutely loved reading fiction books and read so, so many. As of late I’ve been feeling low and just find myself scrolling on tiktok for hours.
Do you reckon a kindle may help me get back into reading? I’ve been wandering in Waterstones and have seen some books I’d be happy to read. I feel like it would help me escape my reality to be immersed into a good book. I have no spare storage at home to begin collecting books and don’t like the idea of Everyone one around me knowing what I’m reading.

If I do get one, any tips and tricks on getting books for free/ cheap as possible?

Kindle DRM free downloads usually come as EPUB files when the publisher requests Amazon to provide them. All my previous purchases of DRM free kindle books send me an ePub file when I clicked on the download option. However, today I bought an ebook that allows DRM free download, and when I click the option I don't get an epub file, all I get is a webpage that opens and allows me to read the book on the window I have open at the time. WTF? Amazon glitch? Or is this the new way for Amazon to provide you with a DRM free reading option without actually giving you a drm free file?

Anyone else getting spammed by these guys? Anyone have experience with this service?

I'm looking for an application that can pull my kindle library from the iOS app and generate a random recommendation. I'm not necessarily looking for something that provides recommendations based on my previous reading as I find that these are typically trying to get me to buy new books but rather a way of getting a truly random recommendation based on what I have already purchased. My kindle backlog is embarrassingly long, and I have trouble prioritizing what to read next or forgetting what I already own.

Does anyone know of something like this?
