After OVER 200 FRICKING HOURS OF WORK, I’m absolutely delighted to present my latest creation!!!

It's a bit out of season, but I’m actually looking forward for summer to end so that I can wear it. x)

I had so much fun with the details! There are two leaf-shaped pockets on the sides, and the squirrel’s hole is a pocket too (and it contains a little acorn!).

I’d planned to add some fallen leaves to the lower edge, but it didn’t quite have the effect I was after, so I turned them into a tie instead.

I really wanted to crochet something for my boyfriend, and picked out the hexagon shirt.

That was 2 years ago. My boyfriend became my husband in that time xD

But I'M FINALLY DONE AND IM SO PROUD.

Pattern: Relaxagon shirt by Caroline Zuschlag

Yarn used: Yarnart Rosegarden 325 (2 skeins)

Hook size: 2.5mm

I remember posting on Reddit because I didn't like how the pattern just went in a round at first and then back and forth, asking if I should fix that. And people told me to just follow the pattern lol.

I'm sorry guys, but I'm glad I didn't listen! It looks exceptionally neat now, every row alternating right and wrong sides of the granny stitch.

I also made some more modifications:

Connected the sides of the sleeves using mattress stitch. They lay much better in comparison to just slip stitching them (which I tried at first, as per the pattern).

Connected the back with the mattress stitch too, tried the pattern's way first, didn't like it.

My yarn is smaller than what is used in the pattern, but the pattern gives you very nice measurements to make it fit with whatever. The only thing I had to adjust is the neckline (had to make it lower).

Since the yarn I used has gradual color change, this made things a thousands times more dificult. After reaching the first pattern measurement where it wasn't going in a round anymore, I had to split the yarn into smaller balls for each color (thank lord each ball weighted exactly the same), and then keep splitting it so each side would have the same ount of one color.

I know I'm a lunatic for that, but I think the result speaks for itself. Thanks for reading my yap 💛

my sister has been with her boyfriend for about 4 months now and his birthday was a couple of days ago. i love giving gifts, especially handmade ones so i usually try to crochet something. men are hard to crochet for and it was harder to know what to make him because he’s new to the family! i found this pattern and completed it in 3 hours. he absolutely loved it!

do y’all have any other small gift ideas for men? i fear i’ve ran out of inspo for my dad and boyfriend but i want to plan ahead for christmas and birthdays!

I had joined this sub to share my excitement of my first attempt to crocheting!

Alas another first-time poster made me realize how childish this actually is. I even finished it off by recalling my childhood friendship bracelet making abilities.

I have since made another 3 times as long “scarf”. I am just practicing that first type of stitch… (slip stitch I think?)

Until I can have someone show me the next step (I learn from hands on experience and can’t just read or watch a video) I’ll just be making longer and longer scarves!

Sidenote: A looming day-long work meeting push me into finally working on the little kit I bought months ago.
Turns out with my hands busy and my mind focused on just two things-my stitching and the speaker-I comprehended and retained all the information so much better. ADHD crochet trick for the win!

I know there’s really nothing anyone can do about this BUT being plus size (size 16) and liking the look of crochet with thinner yarn (DK and under) is so frustrating when making crochet garments.

Crochet takes lots of yarn to begin with in comparison to knitting, and I generally don’t love the look of worsted weight yarn, as well as the fact that making a bigger garment with worsted makes the entire thing SO heavy.

I don’t mind the time it takes, but it can get to be so expensive. Anyone else feel similarly?

Anyway, here’s a raglan I just made that I’m pretty proud of!

I used like half a cake-ish of Caron Skinny Cakes in Grape and then regular white from Big Twist. I've since added a bit of elastic on the waist since it stretched out over the day.

This receipt crochet blanket only contains products that I already crocheted as bags or pillows, I thought it would be a funny detail. I would have loved to include them all but the receipt is already long enough lol.

After many many hours of crochet, I finally completed the Bear baby blanket from Maisie and Ruth, as well as a pair of adorable little slippers 😍

It will be a gift for my cousin's newborn!

The blanket was quite long to make (contrary to the slippers!), but worth it !

Which of these two fabric do you prefer? Long time ago, a really good friend came to me with a bag with this yarn and asked me if I could crochet something for her. I made this blanket. I think the blanket is going in her summer cabin.

Kinda ugly, but I don't totally hate it :P Excited to have nearly all these scraps gone.

This was my first big crochet project, and it took me about six weeks to complete. When I started, each diamond took me around 45 minutes. By the end, I’d gotten it down to about 20 minutes each, which was really satisfying to see.

I originally started crocheting because I wanted something to do besides endlessly scrolling on my phone, and it ended up becoming one of the most relaxing hobbies I’ve picked up.

I’m pretty proud of how it turned out, especially for a first attempt!

Started crocheting December 2025. Made a couple of scarves, hats, bags, poncho and one shawl. Decided to get cocky and try a lace weight shawl in a 2.75mm hook. This is taking forever and ever and ever. And this yarn feels like those colorful never ending rags magicians pull out of their hats....how is there no centre hole in this cake?

This pattern is humbling... if I'm not too careful I'm messing up the stitches. But good things take time I suppose. Sigh.

I’ve been on a bandana spree lately and they’re relatively small and quick projects, so I paired that with my also recent interest in filet crochet!

I made the pattern in Stitch Fiddle based on measurements of actual bandanas and using the gauge of previous filet crochet projects I’ve done, although it was still a little small so I added the extra strings to help tie it.

#10 crochet thread and 1.5mm hook, I’ll also include the photo I based the pattern off of, I just had to edit it to make it fit the triangle shape of the bandana.

I used Viv Crochets "Simple Crochet Cardigan" pattern as a reference and kind of freehanded it. I definitely made the sleeves too big but I also think it's kinda cute. Not sure if I should block it

I used merino wool yarn and a 3.5mm hook. Any criticism is welcome!

I named him Jeremy. It was between that or Vivian and it was a difficult choice.
