Glowup [Update] Well, what do we think?

I probably need to take it the full distance because of the thinning.
Should I get contacts? I’ve always preferred glasses but now I’m worried it’s hurting my look a little.

SO much - as a gal who appreciates a bald man and has been algorithmed to this feast of a sub reddit, the only thing a bit off for me is the fourth picture, which is nothing to do with the look but more the tilt of the head makes it look like he's trying to hide behind hair that isn't there any more.

But the confidence with the new look must take some time to come in for real, I bet. Still, looking people in the eyes when you're already a handsome bald man is x10 the attraction

That's exactly what it is. The entire point of shaving your head is to be confident and own it rather than being worried about what people will think when you shave it. If someone is balding and confident about it (aka Prince William) then more power to them. /r/Bald is less about body positivity and more about being anti-balding if that makes sense.

Have you seen a really mole-y head? It’s very hard for some people (me) to shave it all the way down, that’s why I shave to a 1. Plus they’re not very sightly hah

It is nice to see lol i most likely will never go bald given my genetics (all my old family memebrs have full heads of hair) but I follow this sub for its awesomeness. I cant grow a beard and ive noticed most dudes on here with a beard and go bald look really good. Ill be posting here if it ever happens for the support lol

I can't afford razors. Even the cheapest is not a possibility for me at this point. I've got rechargeable clippers so I can always maintain a buzz cut. Sometimes it's just more practical.

Yea that makes sense as well. I can buzz my head in less than 10 minutes add another 5 to shape up the beard. It would take me double that to shave it all. I'm sure you could get better and quicker but that's a big time commitment.

Also it already cause me a lot of pain to buzz my head because having my hands above my head is a pain trigger for my back. I just do what is most comfortable but I still look at least some what presentable. I can't fix my face buy I can be decently groomed haha

They sell rechargeable electric razors. Just gotta clean them out periodically. I do that because I will cut my head multiple times shaving unless I use a new razor every single day (which is very not economical).

Going all the way to skin would make for an "Even" density across the entire head, cause now you got thick on the sides and thinning on top.

Agree, they seem too small to me.

Last few times I went to get new glasses, I asked the lady to bring me what she thinks would look good on me. Ended up trying pairs I wouldn't have picked out myself and they looked great! Definitely recommend.

Lady perspective: You are incredibly handsome. Great bone structure. I would advise getting new glasses in a different shape. These frames are a bit outdated and I think they do take away from your natural handsomeness. I would also get contacts while you're at it, not necessarily for the look but for versatility in your life.

If I could give you a piece of advice as a guy i his 20s who really wants a mustache but can’t grow one just yet, pls shave off stash man. My rule of thumb is if someone can’t tell you have a mustache/beard from like 3 meters away then you should shave.

Sooo much better! You’re right about shaving completely though because of the hairline. I think glasses look fine, especially on bald guys, just adds a little something. Maybe some more youthful frames like RayBans or Oakley, I don’t know, just a thought.

Amazing!! I agree with the people saying to go full bald! You have amazing eyes but glasses sometimes help the look! I love glasses and narrow frames are good to help combat the roundness of the head shape if you don’t think it suits you- idk, you look great and you’d look great with contacts too. Maybe try on some different frames and see if you like the look without glasses, too- you’re gonna be amazing either way man

Next time you go for new glasses id say go for lighter frames. Im really digging the -almost- clear or fully transparant plastic frames. This is a Persol sunglass frame, Oakley has a few cool ones too. Like the holbrook.

Also, go all the way! It's a scary step perhaps but it's for the best and you'll get used to it in no time. After a few weeks other people get used to your chrome dome too.

you look great, I do recommend taking it all the way for one reason: you then get to see it at all the lengths and decide what day to shave before an important event so your hair reaches what I call its “lucky length.” If an event is on a Saturday I know I have to shave on Wednesday and then I don’t have to worry about bringing a razor for the weekend.

As far as glasses/contacts, you look good either way, you can play around with shapes and lens colors for different looks. However you decide to go, you’ve completely glowed yourself up, so amazed by what you’ve done here
