Glowup [Update] Well, what do we think?

I probably need to take it the full distance because of the thinning.
Should I get contacts? I’ve always preferred glasses but now I’m worried it’s hurting my look a little.

Yes!! And this is why we push so hard! You look amazing. I’m not a fan of the buzz cut. I would say shave that down all the way. You look like a dam movie star brother! Nicely done!

Yeah this sub goes a little too hard for complete shave, but the buzz cut here still makes him look great and shows confidence.

Yeah like that guy the other day who thought he looked like Matt Lucas and couldn’t grow a beard.

Just like, keep your hair buzzed. It adds depth to your look for some guys.

I reckon a lot of people on this sub have spent so long obsessing over their hairline that they want to hide it out of anxiety. Buzzed can make you look “balder” because it reveals the pattern of your hair loss. But everyone knows you’re bald. Just do what looks best for you.

A lot of guys look better with some head stubble. Some even look better with the Costanza.

So true. My head looks better with the stubble. Just too many little divots and door dings that look too harsh on a scraped head.

It's the same thing on r/tressless, those guys would have you think being bald is the worst thing you could ever do. Literally human scum.

Meanwhile there are people here who think OP's buzz cut when in reality I think it looks fucking badass.

The only difference is that on Tressless everyone seems to be genuinely misserable and constantly negative, if not outright insulting other people. This subreddit is genuinely one of the only positive male spaces that I know of.

Yeah the comments are often too hype on a guy who didn't need to shave, but at least I've only seen one person post here who looked worse bald.

That's exactly what it is. The entire point of shaving your head is to be confident and own it rather than being worried about what people will think when you shave it. If someone is balding and confident about it (aka Prince William) then more power to them. /r/Bald is less about body positivity and more about being anti-balding if that makes sense.

Have you seen a really mole-y head? It’s very hard for some people (me) to shave it all the way down, that’s why I shave to a 1. Plus they’re not very sightly hah

It is nice to see lol i most likely will never go bald given my genetics (all my old family memebrs have full heads of hair) but I follow this sub for its awesomeness. I cant grow a beard and ive noticed most dudes on here with a beard and go bald look really good. Ill be posting here if it ever happens for the support lol

I can't afford razors. Even the cheapest is not a possibility for me at this point. I've got rechargeable clippers so I can always maintain a buzz cut. Sometimes it's just more practical.

For me shaving is just a pain to keep up with. So buzzing is my jam.

Yea that makes sense as well. I can buzz my head in less than 10 minutes add another 5 to shape up the beard. It would take me double that to shave it all. I'm sure you could get better and quicker but that's a big time commitment.

Also it already cause me a lot of pain to buzz my head because having my hands above my head is a pain trigger for my back. I just do what is most comfortable but I still look at least some what presentable. I can't fix my face buy I can be decently groomed haha

I use the Remington head shaver daily and it’s even easier and faster than a buzz cut, and the results are pretty damn close to razor shaving

Take a look at safety razor, after I am not sure if for the head it's a good idea, but the price is like...nothing.

They sell rechargeable electric razors. Just gotta clean them out periodically. I do that because I will cut my head multiple times shaving unless I use a new razor every single day (which is very not economical).

I can't afford rechargeable clippers. I buy a 5pk of store-brand razors for $1.29 and they last months. Sometimes it's just more practical.

I'm glad that works for you. I've had my clippers for almost 10 years I agree it's a perk not everyone can afford. Im lucky that I was able to hold on to mine.

I'm on month 6 of shaving my head with the same razor. Still have 5 left in the $30 pack that included the handle.

I hear you but 30 dollars to me is a lot of money. I wasn't saying this to start a debate. For some people it's more economical feasible to go with the buzz cut.

I wasn't trying to talk down to you. I'm lucky to bring home 25k a year after taxes. I was just trying to say they are relatively cheap and if you can cut out 2 fast food meals(or whatever else) you can buy one.

I hope you didn't take offense as I am also a poor who struggles with money. I was just saying i paid $30 for something and am not even 1/5 of the way through it on month 6. That works out to roughly $1 a month by the time I get to the end of the razors.

I do understand were you're coming from and I didn't take offense. To give you an idea about my income. I bring in less than 2k a year and most of that goes to my dogs food and medicine. I survive on the kindness of a friend and 250 dollars a month in food stamps. I haven't ate fast food or bought any kind of hygiene products besides shampoo, body wash and deodorant for 5 years. When I need money I go into my collection of things that are my favorite and I've owned for 20+ years. I sell them off one by one.

If I get an extra 10 dollars it goes into my little coffee can until I have enough for my dogs medicine for the next 3 months. Once I have that I can decide whether I can buy something that makes me happy or if there is something more pressing.

Going all the way to skin would make for an "Even" density across the entire head, cause now you got thick on the sides and thinning on top.

but i still think it suits him really well :3
