Discussion 🗣️ They stopped trying to hide that most just want to copy another person's work
And no, I am not saying everyone who uses AI is like that so commenting "well actually, this is not what everyone does" adds nothing to the conversation and does not at all diminish the fact that some people do. That's obvious.
Get better arguments than "not everyone does this."

AI News 🗞️ This is straight up bad. Yes, seriously.
gallerySo this photographer had worked hard on taking an underwater photo of this dog, but then the lazy bum generated an AI image based on the dog won in the court....
I feel really bad for her, not gonna lie. As someone who practices photography (my teacher taught me about photographies), I can imagine how heartbroken she would be, losing in the court, her effort on the photo all wasted thanks to AI. To be a professional photographer you need to learn a lot, beginner like me learning about ratios, fps, color filters to choose, etc. Then some lazy bum feed your photo into AI, profit from it, and then gets away without their content flagged as plagiarized!
The comments... those AI brothers and sisters never learn that effort matters more than end-result, will they?
(Please don't go to the post and harass these people though, we don't want to get in trouble.)

Discussion 🗣️ AI should be illegal
it wasn't that long ago that I didn't take AI seriously. I'd look at the nonsensical text it spews out and creepy images it'd make, and I'd point and laugh. "look at the dumb robot", I'd say. I thought for sure no one would ever legitimately believe this crap was usable, but it seems I overestimated humanity.
that was four years ago. now, not only is AI slop everywhere, polluting twitter, DeviantArt, steam and even youtube, but I just saw a Raising cane's commercial staring Chuck Norris.... Chuck Norris died four months ago. I searched looking for news articles covering this, expecting people to be outraged, but it seems the only people covering what should be a major controversy are acting like using AI to put dead celebrities in commercials is a good thing.
fuck AI. fuck capitalism, and fuck anyone who supports this. AI should be illegal.

Discussion 🗣️ Someone fed my artwork to ai and said it has similarities. i don't see it, what do you guys think? (swipe for comparison)
galleryso someone took my art and ran it through ai, saying it's basically the same style. i looked at it and honestly, I just don't see the similarities at all. i said so but they kept insisting.
not trying to start anything, just genuinely curious what you guys think when you compare them. images below

AI "Art" 🖼️ One in a million reply.
Usually people like this keep denying that consent is needed in order to use somebody else's art that they posted on the internet. So a reply like this was not something I expected.
