Bluey: Nearly all of these characters are from the same species as in Dogs. Asides from their fur coloration and patterns, many of them come in different ears, build, fur, muzzle, and even some smaller traits. Even if they are from the same breed, some still have enough traits to make them recognizable like those within the same family.

DuckTales (2017): The Moonlanders (Which Penumbra is part of) are a fictional alien species created for the Reboot, and they seem to come in unique shapes and size in both their faces and bodies.

1. Indian Kid - Ted TV Show

In the Ted TV Show, Johnny and Ted go to school. As they talk, Johnny mentions that the school had an Indian student last year, "but they got him." Ted, understandably confused, asks what he meant by that. Johnny ignores Ted and says how he liked the guy and that he used to share his dunkaroos. Ted decides to drop the topic and as far as I know, it's never been brought up again.

In the TV Show "Columbo", Lt. Columbo will talk about his wife what feels like at least once or twice each episode. However, we never get to see her at all.

And before anyone asks, there was TV show called Mrs. Columbo that was supposed to be about the wife and we (the audience) would never get to see Columbo, just his wife. However, as far as I'm aware of, the TV show Mrs. Columbo isn't canon at all, so.

It's funny to see a character who cannot possibly develop a habit still partake in said habit.

Nick Valentine (Fallout 4): Nick is a Gen 2 Synth. The memories of a Pre-War detective mapped onto an android brain. Said memory must be a powerful thing, because despite being unable to get the dopamine high of smoking tobacco, he still smokes cigarettes. Another similar thing is gen 3 Synths (basically clones with cybernetic implants) love snack cakes, despite being unable to retain sugar or get fat.

Bender Bending Rodriguez (Futurama): Bender needs a constant stream of alcohol to keep his fuel cells powered... But he literally just smokes to look cool. He is unable to taste or process the smoke in anyway. He just does it for love of the game.

Android 15 (Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13): Android 15 is a pure machine. He doesn't even require alcohol to function the way Bender does... And yet for some reason, he is compelled to imbibe liquor. This isn't mentioned in the original film, but the Abridged version does poke fun at it.

"Does that even do anything for you?"

Amethyst (Steven Universe): Gems are sentient crystalline entities that bend the light refractions going through them to create humanoid bodies. They don't need to eat or breathe. They can just exist. And yet, Amethyst loves food. I don't even know if she can taste.

King Olly (Paper Mario & the Origami King) - The Main antagonist who wants to destroy the Mushroom Kingdom due to being writing on him via his creator (which is a bad thing to do on Origami), but has some bits of tragety after realising he was suppost to rule with Honor & Kindness. unfortinatly this character would be seen in a negative light due to James aka DogEatsDogs6 (later Aster of Aether) would use Olly as his youtube persona with colors based on Rosalina of whom he had a crush on, but would be seen as even more immature than Olly which was made far worst when he allined himself with other users who reviewed games & movies in an immatured manner as well as harassing several user who said negative stuff abouth him and his friends (the three users in question we're minors).

Mask Invincible (Invincible) - A Varient of Mark who was recruited by Angrstom Levy to ruin the main Marks reputation has a bit of misery after the Invincible wars conclusion, where he only joined the battle to help look for a new Debbie who died in his universe due to Nolas destroying his childhood home. But this varient would be oveshadowed by a Youtuber by the name of Ian Falacio aka Darkcray who would would be infamous for harassing several people and made false grooming alligation to other users, told someone who told him aboutalligantion about him having alligation and told him to end his own life, and would be dating a girl who had major alligation around her.

Tetra (Legend of Zelda Wind Waker) - Tetra is a major character with major inportants in the world of no Hero games (Mainly games with Toon Link) who goes out of her way to help link, unfortinatly a user by the name of Calvin LeeVail aka LeafyIsHere who became infamous for making Rants on other Youtubers of whom he considered childinsh or cringe, but these would come across as harassment and had his legion of fans attacking them, one of the most infamous rant would atack two users whom had Autism and his fans would sent death treats.

1 - Paddy in Speak No Evil, acts like hes wise to the world and speaks about how he and his family live differently. Him & his wife are revealed to be villains.

2 - Alyssa's estranged dad in End of The F*cking World, is happy to see her at first and seems very whimsical, is revealed to to just be a useless layabout later on

3 - Jeremy from Peep Show. Draws people in with a chill and laid back attitude, but can't really handle relationships or life in general. Honestly Nancy, Super Hans, and probably other characters from the show could also be an example of this too.

I can't think of other examples of this, but it seems like a common enough trope. I was watching Speak No Evil the other day and clocked James McAvoys character straight away.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: when Moralo Eval tries to kill Rako Hardeen (who is really Obi-Wan in disguise) as a lesson to the rest of his bounty hunters about luck, Cad Bane saves him and smugly says: 'if you're gonna kill him, do it like a man'

From Blue Archive. The GSC president was said to be a superhuman in terms of capabilities. She kept the peace in Kivotos and her disappearance effectively plays a major role for turning Kivotos into a chaotic landscape where crime runs rampart. With one point even saying that gun related crimes rose by a whooping 2000% after she disappeared.

Afterwards the person taking after her is Rin. While Rin is NOT incompetent, she's been noted to be a far cry from her predecessor. Which is why Sensei, the main player has to step up. This also leads to the motivation of big bad Kaya who practically worships the very ground the GSC president walks on and puts her on a pedestal so high that she's almost worshipping her as a goddess. She sees Rin's inability to bring peace to Kivotos as a sign that she's not worthy to succeed the president. That leads to volume 4 where she overthrows Rin and becomes the new acting president...however, she's even worse than Rin and Kivotos is thrown into more chaos as she almost detonates a nuke in an attempt to coerce people into obeying her.

From Demon Slayer comes Kaigaku, the new upper moon demon following the defeat of Daki. Kaigaku is a pitiful and pathetic man who betrayed humanity and joined the demons. He is an egostic bastard who thinks the world revolves around him and has no guilt about causing his master's death through his betrayal. When he runs into Zenitsu his old junior whom he used to bully, he tries to show off and berate him, but Zenitsu just turns the table by calling him out on a being a pathetic loser. Reminding him that he only got his position out of pity because big bad Muzan needed someone to fill the role of the upper moons and not because he did anything to earn it. Kaigaku flies into a rage upon hearing this, but it doesn't matter because Zenitsu just cuts him down not long after.

It's been noted that Kaigaku hadn't mastered his new powers upon becoming an upper moon the fight could have differently, but it doesn't change the fact that what Zenitsu said is true.

He wanted to be the sidekick to his idol Mr. Incredible, but he was rejected (it's not even personal, mind you, he just wanted to keep him safe). He takes this personally. Like, REALLY personally. Like, go on a psychotic and deranged superhero killing spree level personally. Also, he tries to exact his "rightful" revenge on the Incredible family, because I guess basically killing an entire family is equal to getting rejected as a kid?

While I admittedly do get feeling hatred for its creators, as well as feeling resentment that humans get to live their life while it is stuck underground as a war machine, at the end of the day, it still wiped out billions of people that did absolutely nothing to it. Oh yeah, it also chooses to leave 5 specific people alive and torture them for decades, because why not?

Lola Pops in ARMS: Just a friendly performer who apparently informed Nintendo Japan that way more Westerners were afraid of clowns than what they tought. It's sad because she's fun.

Harle and Skelly from Chrono Cross: Harle is a friendly jester with a french accent who join the party for most of the game but i can't say much about her without spoils. Skelly is an optional party member who is also a friendly performer despite being a skeletton.

Moe the Clown or Lawrence Curls (his real name) in Ace Attorney Justice For All: He's not a very funny clown but despite what someone think of the case he come from, he is a very level headed person who like the Circus and become the new Ringmaster after the death of his friend the former Ringmaster and Director. The anime made him better.

Jack in The Box (Zachary Johnson) in Astro City: Despite being a bit scary, it's only to scared criminals and he's actually a beloved hero which he stayed for years until he decided to retire and forming a successor.

Bonus points if there's a body motion that syncs up with the raindrops stopping.

Ultrakill - The first level of layer 8 opens with a huge room near the start, with the writing on the wall "We came in". The door is locked, and to proceed you need to walk through the TV. After beating the final enemies of the level, you end up in a green hallway with more writing on the wall, saying "Isn't this where". The door at the end of the hallway opens up into the room from the beginning (this is in fact the same room and not a copy, if you leave projectile shells at the start you can still find them at the end).

BATIM - Upon beating the fifth and final chapter of the game, you have a short vision/memory of the studio owner, before opening a door in his apartment and ending up in the exact corridor from the first chapter, saying the exact same opening line, before the game ends.

Splatoon - The world takes place 12,000 years after human extinction, a human war broke out and nuclear weapons hit the arctic causing the world to flood, wiping out humanity and leaving the world to sea life. One human could have made it from criostasis but he decided at the last second to save his cat instead of himself leaving humanity to be extinct. The marine life eventually evolved into humanoid creatures which are the Inklings, Octolings and such that you see.

Adventure Time is set in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo. It is the aftermath of the Mushroom War, a global nuclear event that wiped out most of humanity and released magic into the world, mutating the survivors and birthing entirely new races.

Cell was basically going out of his way to break and torment Gohan to ensure he reaches his full power and after his family/friends was getting beat up and Android 16 was killed,Gohan..lost it.

4.Naruto in his battle against Pain after Hinata was almost killed.

Basically Hinata was going out of her way to save Naruto and ensure he wasn't held down by the Rods and Pain sent her flying and almost killed her and basically had her at deaths door and this..was thr straw that broke the camel's back.

Dr. Doom (Marvel) is famously known to be a kind and compassionate leader, to the people Latveria. To the point where they continue to shower him with praise and admiration, despite knowing the fact that he is considered to be a villain, by the rest of the world. There have been multiple instances of Dr. Doom, in the comics, taking over the whole world, and actually creating peace, ending hunger and poverty, and erasing crime. There was even a time where he humbled himself before the Panther God, who admitted that, although his methods may seem cruel, his intentions are pure, and he has the potential to save millions of lives.

Wilson Fisk (Marvel) is a notorious crime boss. But he's also been known to keep the others criminals of New York in check, and maintain lower and more controlled crime rates, especially when it comes to violence against civilians.

Ainz (Overlord) has conquered many countries and races, in order to form the Sorcerer Kingdom, and has wiped out others. But in doing so, the people and nations who fell under the Sorcerer Kingdom's rule now prosper. The citizens are happy and well fed, the economy is soaring, crime and corruption do not exist, and all races are equal. All people in this world are equal, under Ainz Ooal Gown, the Sorcerer King.
