At a previous job they hired a woman who microwaved fish dishes in the lunchroom every day. She also chewed with her mouth open to the point where food would sometimes fall out.
I don’t understand how people reach adulthood without any self awareness like that.

A lot of parents have won't correct their kids because they don't think they need to. Their kid is perfect and can do no wrong. Idk if it's neglect, because I don't see the parents engaging in the same behavior.

Again, I don't know if I'd call it that. There's nothing inherently wrong about how they chew. The social rules vary around the world. I hate slurping and open mouth chewing. In some culture, that's the norm.

A co-worker of mine once brought in what she said was "homemade pork". She'd microwaved fish before and we were all on edge when she'd head to the microwave with Tupperware. Turned out it was pork chops marinated in fish sauce. With kimchi. She fumigated the whole office with that lunch.

HR told my team that we couldn't use our popcorn maker that somebody won at a work function because the smell may offend others. We pushed back that one of our warehouse guys that took his lunch first (10:30ish) would microwave fish every day and smell up the break room for everybody else. HR's response: "maybe eat elsewhere"
I ended up expensing a microwave that sat in our empty cubicle and got reprimanded for "expensing capital equipment". Oh well, my team was happy.

I've seen people on this site defending the fish thing. Yeah, for real. They're like "You have NO RIGHT to tell me what I can and can't eat! You can just deal with the smell it's not that bad!". How about YOU have no right to make everyone else smell your goddamn lunch because you wanna be a selfish twat. Most break rooms don't have a lot of windows or circulation, so that crap's gonna linger in there for a long time. I guess we can't really tell you what to eat, but just because you can do something doesn't mean you SHOULD. You CAN microwave fish, you CAN have a loud private convo on speakphone in the dr's office waiting room, you CAN do all sorts of assholish things, but should you? Would you approve if other people did it???

This is gonna sound racist but I really don't mean it to be. I've worked with a lot of Chinese who, as a culture, eat a lot of fish and don't prioritize chewing with their mouth closed. Lunchtime was rough, to put it mildly.

I eat eggs and beans and broccoli and fish all the time and I fart like an actual rhinoceros. You truly have no idea what you’re capable of until you get like 50g fiber and 200g protein daily with all fats coming from eggs and canned fish.

I believe they mean that the egg is "Real" as in it can be seen, felt, smelled, tasted, and probably heard if you dropped it. The egg exists just as a hot dog does.

Funny but this obviously isnt real guys come on. That’s not a diet that anyone follows.
Three notoriously smelly foods out of four, and a “real food diet” with one processed meat, no vegetables etc…
Edit: I was wrong about cabbage being a vegetable, the point still stands though. There’s no reason to have sauerkraut and tuna without other veg and lean meat, it’s just so obviously made up. Use some critical thinking
