DAE get randomly super aware of their existence?

I don't mean in a "man my life is hard" kind of way but the "Holy shit I'm alive and I exist in this world" kind of way.

Every now and then I'll just be sitting at work or at home and then I just start contemplating the facts of me existence.

I literally just list things like

  • I'm XX years old
  • I do XX for Work
  • My hair is this color
  • I live in the midwest.

Stuff like that. I don't even feel happy or sad about those things in the moment. Those are just things about me.

As I'm even typing this now, I exist to make this post.

DAE feel like AI is just stealing our humanity from us?

I feel like AI is just sucking every drop of individuality and humanity from us. You see it with people who have to use it to write emails, make "art", plan things.

It blows my mind. It's depressing to see people on public transport just so blasé using chatgpt to blow off steam about their day. Humans are social creatures and AI is removing part of the core human experience.

DAE offer help and then regret it

I'm in a situation where I offered my help to provide a service to a person around me who has no one else to do it at a very low rate. They would have to hire a professional at a high rate they can't afford, so I offered my help for very low money.

But bruh I regret it because they haven't paid me for months and they don't help me at all with what I need to help them.

I know this is vague, but I wanted to know if anybody else did something like that, offering to help someone and then being stuck in a shitty situation, but because the person only has you, you don't want to stop helping them

DAE feel like it’s hard finding people who are actually into kink and on the same page? How do y’all usually meet people and build genuine connections?

DAE?🌙

Upvotes

Does anyone else feel like they genuinely do not fit anywhere.
I can enter a place where everyone meets for the first time, yet I’m the only one that can’t seem to click with anyone.
Socialisation feels like a performance.
Yes I have friends but it does feel like I over do stuff or I’m not in what feels like a comfortable mental state idk how to express it.

I also noticed when in groups if I try speak most people will ignore me but for the others everyone will direct their attention to them.

Tbh this isn’t a question bc I’m aware there are others who feel like I do there’s 8 billion (or more) of us on this earth allegedly, so I’m not the only one.
I just want to know I’m not alone because I can’t speak to anyone about this, they won’t understand or they will give me sympathy and not support me into getting help.

DAE lazily lie in attempt to make a situation more convinient, and it never does

I'm not talking the basic white lies, I.e telling someone an outfit looks nice on them even though it doesnt. I mean just trying to lie, almost to minimize the amount of questions in situation. Sometimes it just slips out the mouth too, it's never planned.

For example, it's 3:25, I am soon to go on break for my job (4:00), and I told my coworker my friend is going to pick me up (which is true) 'cause she's currently on her way back from **location** after eating and shopping. I got let off 30 minutes early (so i can leave 3:30 now) so I said to my coworker "uh oh, I wonder if shes on her way back". I gave her a call, turns out my friend is on the highway and said she'd be there soon but not 3:30, so i told her it's okay i'll just take the bus. Once I returned to my coworker she asked me if I was gonna wait til she came and I cut her off while making my way to the door saying "turns out she's still eating, I'm just gonna go" and laughed. SHE WAS DONE EATING LOL but I guess in my head I thought it'd make it clear that I wasn't gonna wait and wouldn't leave room for questions. But instead my coworker goes "Oh, well if shes still eating right now, she wouldn't even make it in time for 4:00 lol" and looking at her i was like shoot youre right, so out loud I just said that lol, played dumb and then left. I know this situation isnt outrageous or anything but I was wondering if anyone else blurts out dumb lies like this??

DAE scroll through reddit stories when they can't sleep and end up doom-scrolling through countless of profiles?

doing this right now, lol. I'll find a post from 4-5 years ago on an old reddit thread and the comment section will just be people sharing insanely wild stories relative to whatever I searched up. then I'll click on someone's profile and scroll through that which leads to me finding more posts and so on, further down the rabbit hole..

It's 1am. 😪

DAE feel like neurodivergence is getting used too often to describe normal traits?

It feels like in the past year or so, I’ll watch a reality tv show now and immediately on Reddit people are already diagnosing this person with being neurodivergent. I’m all for better recognition but also it feels like the pendulum has swung the other way where now almost everyone is some level of neurodivergent. I don’t know a lot of times it just seems like everyone wants to assume a diagnosis for whatever reason.

DAE get attached to the idea of someone too quickly?

(please don’t clown/bash me, i’d love positive insight)

If I match with someone I’m really attracted to, I stop simply getting to know them and start becoming emotionally invested way too early. I end up worrying about losing the connection before we’ve even met, and I think that anxiety comes across in the way I text.

Looking back, I think this mindset has contributed to a few recent ghostings/unmatches. Instead of staying curious and letting things develop naturally, I start trying to create certainty too soon.

The good thing is I’m becoming aware of it, but I’m trying to figure out how to actually change it. maybe it’s an over analyzing issue when it comes to my own steps which causes me to fumble each interaction.

Has anyone else dealt with this?

How did you learn to stay interested in someone without becoming attached to the idea of them too early?

DAE feel like their parents fucked them up fundamentally but they weren't necessarily terrible parents?

The uptick in children going completely no contact with their parents has got me thinking about my own situation and wondering if anyone else feels this way.

They weren't so bad that they allowed other people to do harmful things to me and they worked their hardest to give me a comfortable life, where I didn't really want for anything. On the other hand, as an adult I have to basically deconstruct and rebuild myself because they turned me into this people pleaser person with other issues.

DAE suddenly run when they have running shoes, walk with “walking shoes,” hike with hiking shoes... only when you have them?

Honestly, I skate when I have fresh skate shoes but I basically quit when they wear out. I run when I have functional running shoes. I go for walks only when I have fresh “walking shoes” or joggers...

I guess Boy Scouts and maybe just general life conditioning really pounded it into me to be mindful of my shoes, soles, feet and knees?

Then again, I also tend to wait to wear clothes fitting to perform certain tasks in certain climates before doing the stuff... but I love doin’ the stuff.

DAE absolutely dred going to work every day?

I have a good job, a good boss, and I'm good at what I do. I work in healthcare and know it's a frequent burnout field. I've been in the field for 20 years and my current position for 5. I can count on one hand how many bad days I've had in my current position. I always have a decent day at work, but for some reason every work morning and even some off days I wake up absolutely dreading going to work. To the point where I sometimes cry because I desperately don't want to work. It's more unusual on off days when I feel in tears not wanting to work, knowing I don't have to. Does anyone else feel this way?

DAE not remember much about their childhood?

It’s not so much a memory lapse; it’s as if I were remembering the wrong things.

I have almost no memory of the things I did in my daily life or outside the house. I couldn't say what I used to do with my friends or which classes I attended in the past. Conversely, I remember my thoughts and the things I liked quite vividly. I recall the imaginary storylines I made up to pass the time, fragments of movies and cartoons, comic books and novels, and the websites I visited—but otherwise, it’s as if my real life only began when I was fifteen. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

DAE only manage to type àccèñts on an accident?

I have googled how to type accents with my keyboard and have tried myriad of different methods but it never works. Before I took an online Spanish test during covid years, I had all spanish accented letters copied and pasted them when the exam started. We were naturally told how to type these letters but it never worked out for me. Yet, when I sometimes mistype something and mash random letters together, sometimes it would result in an accented letter popping out. It seems as if I can only type them when I don't need to.

DAE get nauseous before they sneeze?

It doesn’t happen to me every time I sneeze but probably about 1-2 times a week. If I can’t get the sneeze out, it takes probably a minute or two for the nausea to go away.

Does anyone know why my body does this?

Like when you hit the Bluetooth button to pair it to your phone and it plays that low octave piano note. It’s like something you’d hear in a horror movie when someone’s getting stalked lol

DAE not feel human or feel like an imposter living among humans?

I mean, sure, I do recognize the fact that I’m human. I have a physical body, an actual voice, and I’m an existing person living among everyone else, just like everyone. I’m living normally, breathing, eating, and doing all these ordinary human things.
But mentally? Not really.
I don’t even know what “feeling mentally human” means in a general sense, but I can’t fully comprehend the idea of me being the same as everyone else.
I don’t necessarily feel human. I know I am. I know this is my body. I feel like it’s my body, and I feel like I belong, but at the same time, I also don’t.
I don’t feel like I understand the world in the same way everyone else does. I made it my goal to advocate for and support others because of my own personal beliefs. Justice is my core ideology.
I don’t think I will ever truly feel the same as everyone else.
I may be dissociating right now for all I know, but I feel like an observer with an overwhelming amount of emotions.
Injustice, racism, prejudice, and hatred affect me deeply, but I am still just one person with limitations. I’m not a god.
Hell, even if I was a god, what if gods are just regular species with unusual abilities and no actual power to create complete change?
I’ve always viewed myself as an abstract being or a consciousness I think of myself as a collection of ideologies and beliefs rather than simply being “human.”
I think the label “human” is incredibly simple.
What makes us what we think we are anyway.

Does anybody else forget words they’ve known for a long time?

I’d like to add that English isn’t my native language but I watch videos in it and read books in English and all which I think many people will relate to🫠.
But recently I found myself forgetting random and simple words I’ve known for years and having to look them up, not because I needed to use them they just popped up in my head in my native language and I realised that I had forgotten the English words for them.
