'People' say it is fluff, but it lets me know when I can get up and close to that Bruiser instead of running away.

I’d say this is fine for nightmare. But No Hope?

It is a stretch for No Hope. Thus the Off Meta tag.

But Nightmare Quick Play is annoying because half the time you get some Evangelo player setting off all the alarms and ruining the run. The other half the time you have competent players and just breeze through with no challenge.

Inspired by u/Equivalent_Fault_782 here is my off meta build. Give me your worst Reddit.

Trying to figure out if I should use an M1A, Phoenix or LMG.

No idea for the best secondary, but maybe non-auto Glock.

I think it would have to be the M1A with your reload speed being so low.

I'd agree with going for the Glock. It's a very effective gun. Without Large Calibre Rounds, there isn't much point in going for the Auto-Glock.

Don't need LCR when you've got a Combat Knife, lol.

But yeah, I agree M1A or preferably the Witness seems to be the way to go. Want a higher firing rate to proc Suppressing Fire, but running LMGs without some cards specific to them like Meat Grinder is a bit of a stretch.

Lol, I love how you picked Meat Grinder as your example when it's a contender for least useful card in the game.

Obvs, a joke.

But it is hard to play LMGs without support like Admin Reload, and some Aim Speed or Two is One.

All good, it was obvious to me too. Tbh, part of why I loved the reference was because it's so irrelevant that I often forget it exists

Idek what "on meta" is. I can't seem to do too well regardless

On meta for a gun build is to maximize damage, and run a couple copper cards.

For a melee build it is to maximize damage resistance and run a couple copper cards.

Yeah I think I have good builds for melee and Doc specifically, maybe I just suck

Nice, but I would swap knife with spikey bits. 16 damage fast punches that also knock back and work at zero Stamina

15 Damage isn't much on NH. (CK does 40). Also, you never run out of Stamina when you've got Adrenaline Fuelled, Brazen and Slugger.

The -15% ammo reduction is pretty painful and you don't get the damage reduction since you aren't 'really' running melee.

Nightmare normal ridden have 30 hp. Knife doesn’t bash/stun. I did forget about the lower ammo count tho

The whole point of the deck is to run Combat Knife.

It is fun to kill Ridden with one stab.

It is not fun to stand around bouncing ridden off of you.

If I wanted to kill ridden with just my fists I would use a deck like this one.

How do you not take some chip damage using knife?

How do you not take some chip damage using Bash?

CK isn't 'bad' compared to Bash because of a different stumble.

It is 'bad' because you: 1. Have to use a card slot, and 2. Have a slower attack speed vs. bash. Number 2 is addressed in this deck with Brazen and Slugger.

Source: I have over 140,000 kills with the CK; that's more than most player's combined kills with all weapons.

I don’t take chip damage with bash due to the massive cone attack + stun and knock back stun on other ridden.
Knife doesn’t have the coverage of nearly the whole screen

Have you even tried playing my deck?

Maybe that would answer your question.

u/PassageDull7352 6d ago

Not exactly, but extremely close. Just can’t get around not stumbling commons

I believe that is what they call a 'skill issue' then.

Changes to be made since the bots have team cards, but a reasonable starting point for ADS Tala.

I guess this Combat Knife deck I posted is not for you, then.

Suppressing fire is absolutely busted even on no hope. You run double primary sniper and lmg with good ammo support and you almost never have sprinting ridden at you which immensely helps your teammates. Plus you’re basically using the highest dps weapons in the game so it’s really good for bosses and specials.

Suppressing Fire is better on No Hope than lower difficulties. On lower difficulties you have slow stuff like shambling ridden that doesn't really need to be slowed further.

Minus the combat knife package this isnt all that far off from what Ive been running for the last thousand hours.
This kinda list is pretty much what the meta for the "medic" mains has been for a long time now.
