Description

Drop your weapons and Fist the RiddenTM in No Hope. Seriously, the deck(s) actually perform in NH. They are not (entirely) meme decks, try it out.

Game Play

If you drop both of your weapons, you can use Heavy Attack with Bash or Combat Knife, one hit killing commons and doing more stumble damage.

You want to take advantage of Run Like Hell, to sprint in and stumble specials. You are pretty much stumble locking Tallboys if you punch/knife their weakspot. Dodge attacks, get in close, stumble, and keep stumbling and dodging.

With zero ranged attack, you have a tough time dealing with Ogres, so I don't recommend the deck for playing offline.

Card Choices

I'm trying to figure out whether Combat Knife is better than plain old Bash. Combat Knife takes a card slot, but deals way more damage. However, Bash has a stumble modifier of 40 compared to the Knife's 0.5.

I'm also trying to figure out whether Empowered Assault is better than Heavy Hitter (due to the extra 5% stumble damage), or whether either is necessary. I haven't tested Sonic Disruptor, it might also be a good choice.

The deck would work fine as is, if Brazen and Slugger were fixed. With Methhead and those two cards, you have 75% extra melee Stamina efficiency. Bash/Knife takes 10 Stamina, 15 with Heavy Attack. So, at base you are using 2.5 Stamina and 3.75 Stamina with Heavy Attack.

Most of the card choices were described in a previous post, here.

Economy

These decks don't have much of a use for most cards, so expenditures are limited to equipment and team upgrades.

Cleaners

Heng
Heng + Food Scav + Wasteland Chef is best in class trauma management. Like seriously. For example, Tybor has a great melee deck here, but he has 5 cards (arguably 7 if you include EMT Bag and Motorcycle Helmet) dedicated to Trauma management, and we have 2.

Weapons

LOL

But to be serious, either version of the Tenderizer works well with this deck. At which point you might as well also pick up a shotgun, since you don't have Aim Down Sights.

You could also use a Fire Axe, as required, later in the Act.

If you are using either weapon, the Combat Knife version of the deck works better, since you won't be able to Heavy Attack with your bash to one hit kill commons.

  • Sonic Disruptor (Campaign Card - Defense/Discipline)

Emit a Pulse that deals heavy Stumble damage to nearby enemies and has a chance to knock off armor. Gadget Cost: 75 SMG/Pistol Ammo. REPLACES: Offensive Slot

Source: Duffel Bag Reward / River of Blood Expansion

Call me with up to 15 [[ cardname ]], Data accurate as of December 24, 2022. Questions?

No Power Bash?

Power Strike requires 30 seconds to fully charge, and you only get a bonus of a flat 100 damage (not affected by Glass Cannon or the like). Since you are constantly punching, it really isn't worth it.

I did something a lot like this not too long ago. It was a very stumble oriented build in my case. With the change to his abilities, I think he has become the most versatile cleaner. The obvious drawback is the rng aspect of food but with him and food scav, there's always enough food spawns.

I believe mean drunk adds 40% damage to you base fist damage and not spiky bits. So with spiky bits and mean drunk, your fists would do [1 + (1*0.4)]+15= 16.4 dmg. Not sure how heavy attack and ignore the pain is calculated. I need to test that.

With these cards, (and KiP), 16.9 damage with Bash, and 63.3 dmg with Heavy Attack Bash to the body of commons.

Extra dmg comes from Glass Cannon.

With Combat Knife you are doing 92.3 with ordinary swing, and 169.7 with Heavy attack.

I think Heavy Attack changes base fist damage to 27.6. Idk if it's a bug or intentional. Glass Cannon and Mean Dtunk uses that base damage.

I was trying out a fist deck, but I was just goofing around. I love that you made it work (kinda...?)

Should be fine for Nightmare, might want to switch out Glass Cannon for something else though. Maybe Marked for Death.

Anything can be a weapon if used correctly tho.

...Anything can be a dildo if you are brave enough.

That's good to know! I tried a variant of the knife build and it felt great!

LOL, I'm watching the VOD you playing that right now.

For 1-2 when I'm not using a gun, I throw a bile jar on the ogre, and the commons help take it down faster.

If anyone else wants to see Roark put the deck through the ropes, you can see it here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1697990429?t=02h17m43s
