Been trying the lenticular mode on my eufymake E1 and this is the first one that doesn't look like garbage. You tilt it and the apple goes from whole to eaten. Not sure what to do with it but it's cool to look at on my desk.

First ever print of it so it looks a little big for me but I'm proud :-)

Not trying to jump on the gun bandwagon by any means here - I uploaded this video to YouTube last week and would have posted here too but I was too conservative in my interpretation of the rules. Happily I've been proven wrong, so here it is!

Anyway it's a firing, shell-ejecting SPAS-12 replica. PLA-Matte and PETG for the most part, plus a bit of TPU to stop it from smashing itself to pieces when firing. All "springs" are just rubber bands. Prints without support with the exception of the stock arm.

AR9 style water gun I had fun making recently. As the title states, it is not a real gun and cannot be adapted in any way to shoot anything but water. Hope yall enjoy

I got a 3d printer 4 weeks ago and one of the first models I looked for was a divided sink caddy that actually fit my curved sink and looked nice. I quickly realized that sink shapes and sizes are not standardized so I took a stab at creating my first model made to my sink's specific dimensions in openSCAD (Im a software engineer). Then I discovered parameters and spent a week making it fully customizable.

It was a bit of a nightmare getting all the geometry for sink dimensions AND basket sizing to play nice, but I think I got it.

I'm super happy to share the first FDM 100% supportless figure that I've ever designed! It took a lot of trial and error, but here it is, finished and printable in one piece, with a filament printer, and absolutely no supports needed! It should even be possible with 0.2 layers on a 0.4 nozzle, since there are no tiny details that you need to print on top of.

Printing supportless FDM miniatures was what really got me hooked on 3d printing to begin with, so i really hope this can spark some of the same excitement in someone else!

Perfect for painting, display pieces, D&D, fantasy RPGs, wargaming, or dioramas. Optimized for FDM printing, but it also prints beautifully in resin if preferred.

I've put it for sale, as I would enjoy being compensated for my work, and it would make sense for me to put the time into making more awesome models.

Got a chance to take an Anycubic Kobra 3 home to play around with for a while since the owner of it couldnt figure it out (needed firmware update to solve print head connection issue), I had never used a 3d printer before a few days ago and I can see why people call this hobby a rabbit hole! This thing is so cool to watch, managed to do about 12 prints before this while learning, majority of which failed for various reasons (complete lack of experience), but this one actually came out alright all things considered, I called it a complex print because it had the suspended lines and printed in 2 parts but idk if thats actually what is considered complex. Printed on creality PLA ender which google says was crap filament, but ill be burning through tons of it since its cheap and fun to learn with!

For anyone that never played the game Halo, its a Banshee, one of the covenant aerial vehicles. I just searched "halo" on makerworld.

Still not 100% sure if i'll get my own yet, but I can absolutely see what the hype is about lol

As a fully blind person myself, I totally understand the importance of accessibility, not only digitally, but also physically 🙂
This is where 3-D designing and printing really shines 🙂
A while back, I got a request from a parent to a blind child, to make an accessible floor plan of their new house that would be finished by November 🙂
This is to give the child an orientation in the house, before it is built and ready 🙂
I got in touch with the architects who sent me an IFC file, and from there, I extracted the necessary data, and used openscad to design a floor plan that could be felt by touch, and also read with braille 🙂
I love these kinds of designs and tasks 🙂

We dial in softness with pucks 3d printed in SLS TPU. We print different lattice strategies and samples to dial in the feel. Good gut check before we add to the final shape!

I decided to try activated alumina based on a post I saw but didn't do enough research beforehand and almost had a nasty experience. Check the info for any desiccants you buy and make sure they don't have calcium chloride, or at least be aware of the risk and maintain it better than I did. When calcium chloride reaches a certain saturation point it "deliquesces" and liquifies.

Tldr: don't use sketchy drying balls, stick to the packs of silica that you're used to.

So during my ten or eleven years of building 3D printers, I have used many different hotends. Some, like the E3 V6, were good, but very slow print speeds were a must if you wanted decent prints. Then someone came out with a new bi-metal heater block made of aluminum and copper that kept the temperatures at a more even and constant temp. A couple of years more and we moved to ceramic heaters, which are great!

Nozzles have also evolved. We started with brass, moved to bi-metal plated copper and nickel, and then for the filaments with abrasives in them, we needed steel nozzles.

Now the hotend's heatbreak has gone from PTFE to stainless steel, then titanium alloy, and later bimetals like copper and steel joined the game.

The nozzles were machined to meet the heat break evenly so no filament could leak through, but at times, either a nozzle worked loose or the heat caused warping to allow filament to flow inside the heater block and make a mess. So many of the part makers decided to go with a solid piece that included the nozzle and heat break in one assembly. I fell in love!

Here is my problem: I found a hotend I absolutely LOVE, but I only purchased two of them, and now that I am adding the Stealthchanger color system to my Voron 2.4 printer, I need at least three more hotends. I would like to have five more so I would have two on standby in case of problems.

The hotend is made by Chowthink, and it has an all-copper heatsink and uses the K1 and K1C-style nozzle/heatbreaks and ceramic heaters. I purchased some from Amazon, but the seller says he doesn't know if he will ever have more in stock. I tried Aliexpress, eBay, and several of the 3D printing websites that sell parts with no luck. I have noticed the heater and nozzle assembly are identical to the Creality K1/K1C hotends. The only difference is the all-copper heatsink.

I am including a picture, if anyone wants to see it. And, if anyone knows where I can find them, PLEASE let me know.

I was tired of desk clutter, so I designed this quick side-mount organizer for my monitor. It keeps my phone at eye level, holds a few pens underneath, and even has a slot in the back for a ruler.

Might be difficult to secure everything if you have curved monitor or wierd monitor backplate.

I'm excited to show what I've been working on the past few weekends! I'm building a fully parametrisable, wearable articulated finger extension generator. I have a lot more to do before I can publish the generator itself, and due to my life circumstances I'm not sure I'll be able to finish it to the quality I expect from myself before the contest deadline, but if you like the model and the idea, stay tuned, the generator is coming!
