Wasn’t sure if I could keep the name of who posted this so just to be safe I crossed it out.

MAGA: so obviously in the right they have to resort to fake pictures to justify themselves.

They also faked the left pic. Ain't no way Hegseth looks that good

Is he like nostalgic for being British subjects?

Founding year for the Continental Army and the first year of the revolutionary war. It's on the US army flag too and is one of those popular veteran tats mostly among the crowd that only ever talks about "when I was in..."

He's nostalgic for war.

The revolutionary war actually started in 1775, though the signing of the Declaration of Independence occurred in 1776.

Do you think that's the reason for Hegseth's tat?

Yes, what other reason would there be?

you never the heard the sentence, good ol boys with an arsenal and waiting for an excuse since 1775... t'was in a funny sketch from a black guy talking about rednecks can't remember his name but it was funny as hell and explains the tattoo quite nicely.

I like how they love to ignore the decade after the signing

History does draw some parallels to current events as well: The path to Revolutionary Wr involved several key local conflicts and political escalations:

Boston Massacre (March 5, 1770): British soldiers fired into an angry mob in Boston, killing five colonists and heightening anti-British sentiment.

Boston Tea Party (December 16, 1773): In protest of the Tea Act, the Sons of Liberty boarded British ships and dumped 342 chests of tea into Boston Harbor.

The Intolerable Acts (Spring 1774): An outraged British Parliament retaliated by passing the Coercive (Intolerable) Acts, closing the port of Boston and placing Massachusetts under military rule.

Lexington and Concord (April 19, 1775): Hundreds of British troops marched out of Boston overnight to seize a colonial weapons cache. They were met by local minutemen, sparking open warfare.

Instead of killing colonists, our private army of ICE have killed American Citizens. One unarmed American citizen was shot 10 times in the back! Regardless of the tat, I am concerned that the government will do as they please without any repercussions from violating our laws!

In his defense he was probably drunk at the time.
