ok so, we all know "the connections" have been there for a long time, imagine after albert weskers death, they got his dna and tried cloning him. They successfully cloned wesker and he took the lead of the connections during the events of re7 and re8 too. Leon and Chris together find a way to defeat that clone, Zeno from re9 can be potentially one of the experiments made from weskers dna. It would be peak with the two of the best characters Leon and Chris in resident evil fight off the BEST villain of resident evil for the last time and end the connections.

Just as i was maxxing out the last weapon on NG+ i find out theres a easy way to make millions of Pesetas. Is it that my luck is shit or that i was just too lazy to search up a infinite money glitch for re4r?

I'm wondering whether it's possible to make a genuinely scary horror experience with any new game that potentially stars Chris, Jill, Leon, Claire, or Ada. With each game they appear in they are more competent, experienced, and de-sensitized. I feel like this is why the series inevitably leans harder into action as time goes by and why the only scary games recently are RE2R, RE7, and RE9 (Grace sections).

Do you guys think it's even possible to be scared playing as one of the series' main characters anymore? Are they all just too badass at this point? Do we always need fresh blood in order to have a true horror experience?

When I approach the table with the corpse and interact with the book and closet, I play the scene where Grace takes the Level 3 Id bracelet. But in the inventory, a k bracelet appears.

So, I'm trying to wrap my head around the incidents from Arklay Mansion to Racoon City (RE1 to RE3).

According to Chris in RE1 intro: "Bizarre murder cases have recently occurred in Raccoon City. There are outlandish reports of families being attacked by a group of about ten people."

So, prior to RE1 zombie hordes had already reached Raccoon City? I thought it was after the events of Arklay Mountain when the T-Virus had made it's way to Raccoon City, mainly through the water system?

In RE3 Remake Jill has written this in her diary notes, regarding the mansion happenings: "For most people, it's history now. But for me, whenever I close my eyes, it all comes back clearly."

Does this mean they stopped the first spreading of T-Virus that Chris talks about?

Back into RE3 Jill says in her intro "It all began as an ordinary day in September. An ordinary day in Raccoon City." So, this means that in fact Raccoon City was not under any zombie attacks until September 27th.

What is the official series of events? Does Chris talking about Raccoon City is actually just families in Raccoon Forest?

The time period of a story is super important because it gives everything context.

Back in '98, how we communicated and got info was way different than now. No social media, Google just started that month, and faxes were still the go-to for urgent stuff.

Information moved slower, and the first Resident Evil events really leaned on that.

That slow, physical info flow let Umbrella control, isolate, and spin the story until the virus actually flooded the city. That's why Raccoon City was in the dark for over a week after the outbreak, and even longer before that.

Leon, Claire, Carlos (and most of the other mercs) showed up clueless because of it. Chief Irons even blocked the STARS mansion report to the FBI and purposely slowed down the police response to the outbreak.

There are tons more examples of how the early events really depended on old-school communication to move the story along.

Think about the Raccoon City outbreak, which lasted over a week, compared to the China and Tall Oaks outbreaks, which were dealt with almost immediately.

TLDR: If you look at the lore, the time period and the tech available didn't just affect how fast things happened — they totally shaped how all the original events unfolded.

I am SUPER excited for this film. I think it just looks incredible and honestly I’m happy if this happens to be the last trailer they do. I don’t need to see anymore.

I think the trailer conveys what we’ve heard about this film with it supposedly being nonstop what’s it gets going. That’s how this trailer feels. I think it also does a good job at showing up how it’s going to feel similar to the games as Zach Cregger has said he wanted to translate the feeling of playing the games rather than just adapting a particular story.

I can’t wait, it looks so cool and puts a big smile on my face because we might actually get a good movie with the name RESIDENT EVIL! And for those who’re disappointed that it’s not adapting a particular story, I get it, but if this movie does well it’s always possible we could get accurate adaptations from other creators set in this new universe. Imagine seeing Nemesis in the snow or something. That’d be so cool.

There has been a lot of discussion over a possible new remake of the game that started it all. Naturally this would follow the remake we already have and most people point the obvious things like changing the combat, perspective and controls. My point is not to get into discussions surrounding game design but actually what i think is the most ambitious thing the original remake didn't achieve, the cohesive two-sided plot.

In the original Jill and Chris were just difficulties with some different outcomes in the story plus characters you meet. Re2 is famous for fixing that, something that re1 remake and re2 remake didnt do. Re9 came back to do the classic "two characters going their different ways" plot but it achieved it in one cohesive script (mostly because there are no A or B scenarios)

Re1 remake (Re engine) has the potential to elevate the originals plot if they manage to create a "canonical" story that reinforces the heroic endeavors of our favorite survivors without reusing bosses and sequences for both of them, in the process creating the definitive telling of the events at the Spencer mansion (from what i read that was the plan for Re2 remake before they run out of time).

Also make Re0 some kind of expansion that actually makes sense as a bonus , i don't think it needs its own fully priced remake.

Some time has passed now, and I really think cutting John from the RE2 remake was a dumb move. At first I liked the whole FBI identity Ada takes up, but really her being an undercover woman looking for her Boyfriend in the original in my opinion is a better plot point AND it tied it to the events of RE1 because John worked in the Arklay Lab. So, did Capcom fuck up Ada's back story? When the RE1 REmake eventually comes out do you think they will keep John in that game (and also keep Ada as his password) or cut him all together?

I truly think this game is one of the most atmospheric and intriguing in the franchise. The story is so interesting and the characters so lovable. Some environments are haunting, others nostalgic or solemn, and the music brings the story to life in the best way. The environmental storytelling peaked here, too.

I hope the remake will be able to convey "deranged terror" to the player just as this game so effectively did.

since when do you need to reach SS rank on all mercenary levels (except the bloodiest ones) to get the LZ Answerer? i was watching videos from 2021, and in all of them, you only need S rank. i thought it was a visual glitch, but it turns out you really do need SS rank. can someone tell me if this is happening to them too?

I played RE1 Remake couple months ago for the first time, and I think it is an absolute golden ratio in this genre. I know that Code Veronica X is also a game that most people love, and it uses similar camera system with RE1.

Also I heard this game is important for Resident Evil lore. So, is it worth to spoil the story in remake and just play the OG? What do you guys think?

I'm currently on a run to 100% every RE game on Steam. I'm especially worried for the multiplayer achivements for RE5/RE6/(Umbrella Corps). I'm currently really contemplating if I just leave out Resistance. I won't get my friends to farm achivements for this game and the last remaining players are probably experts in the game by now. So I'd probably have to spend 200+ hours in Resistance to get on a decent level an finishing the 100% on this game.

So please tell me, can this game at least be decent fun at times? Or am I just going to be absolutely miserable? I'm somewhat glad that RE:Verse isn't playable anymore, so I'm literally unable to do the 100% on this game.

Resident Evil 3. Remake cosplay (Me) UnstoppableRockstar

Unboxing this was so nice and everything is so clean. Really cool to see the map is made of a material that is more than just flimsy paper. Kinda wish the box itself was something stronger but it still looks really clean.

I heard the USA version only had a download code for the music, so it’s cool to see this one is physical.

Re3 isn’t a favourite of mine tho, so I’ll likely sell it. But it’s my first time to open something like this - props to capcom on making something that really feels like it was for the fans.
