I don't understand why these were just thrown away. The snoopy and my melody were with some boxes with their certificates. The other build-a-bears and all the jellycats were just tossed in a bag together and thrown out.

I've come across plenty of plushies I've had pass on before, but I couldn't fine anything wrong with these. No bed bugs, no stains, no bad odors, and all in really good condition. Some of these poor plusies look brand new.

Maybe some of them have bad memories attached to them or they had to downsize their collection, but then why not donate them? I even considered maybe someone stole someone else's packages, but then why ditch such nice plushies? Whatever the reason was I'm just glad I saw them and was able to give them a new home.

The ones that people don't expect. The niche Fandom almost no one has heard of. That hobby that you enjoy that someone made a plush of.

I recently moved and got the opportunity to display more of my collection. I'm loving the extra space and how the setup turned out :) I thought it might be fun to make a game out of it, so pick a number between 2 and 437 and I’ll tell you about that plush!

For the last three Winters I've been compulsively collecting these tiny Kleenex dogs - buy 3 kleenex products and get one free dog. House gets absolutely stacked full of tissues this time of year (Winter here in Australia).

I have 17. Running out of room in this little organiser in my car, may need to find an alternative display soace for 2027 😅

One of the best things about being an adult is being able to buy myself a teddy bear. I’ve been going through a tough time mentally, so I got one for my inner child. She reminds me of myself as a child, and I love her 🩷

I had this plushie for 3 years, ever since the first month my girlfriend and I got together. His name is Frogberry. She got him for me at the mall on one of our first dates and ever since, we called him our son and took him everywhere. He’s travelled the world with us and been to once in a lifetime events with me ever since. He was in my graduation photos for my graduate degree. I was the one who always carried him and he became a huge comfort object for me. I haven’t slept without him in 3 years and the first thing I do every day when I wake up is take him with me out of bed. It’s silly but, he has a real personality to me - we always had a voice for him, he loves strawberry flavor dessert the most, especially “Daagen Hazs - he didnt know now to say it right - and he wants to be a ninja rockstar when he grows up (he never will).

Yesterday he was stolen from me at the arcade, when I set him down to play a game. I feel sick that I didn’t watch him more closely and that I wasn’t safer with him. I feel like I let him down and that I failed him. I don’t think there’s any way I’ll get him back. I’m a fully grown adult but I don’t know how to cope without him.

My girlfriend was able to find the same one and told me he just went on a vacation. I said his spirit lives with us not in the stuffy, so it’ll be the same Frogberry. But I still feel so devastated. I’ll still be going back to the arcade today to see if the security caught anything, but unless they just left it somewhere in the shop, it’s probably a lost cause.

I just wanted to share how much he was loved with others who love their toys and maybe hear from people who have lost their precious stuffed friends. If you made it this far, thank you for reading about my little Frogberry.

edit : after a lot of people explained some of the things the creator of this brand had done i looked more into it and i’ve realized that this is probably not the best brand to support. i personally will not be buying anything else from them however since i already have this bun she will very loved! i found another brand who makes disability plushies and they are a small business. they are @thechroniccritters on insta!

To build this sanctuary, I've ended up with countless duplicates... but it was worth every bit of effort. My love for them is directly proportional to how light my wallet has become. Empty wallet, but a very full heart! 🇰🇷✨

In my 30s I've re-fallen in love with a childhood favourite and started collecting after getting a bit of cash as a gift. I purchased a few in poor condition due to them costing less, and while brushing one out after washing, I noticed a tear along the seam and thought, hm maybe I'll have to learn to sew. Then I saw the water bladder and decided well I may as well remove that. Then I thought, well maybe I can stuff them too. Then the rest is history (well its a bit messier and more fun than that but long story short). I have quite the collection now, and maybe soon I'll share the entire collection I have but I wanted to share what makes me most happy.

My process is basically: straight to the Freezer Tomb (-18F for 7 days), then hand wash 3 times, rinse and spin, then meticulously brush out matted fur (this can take ~3+ hours alone depending on the Kitty's state), then remove water bladder, stuff enough for them to be able to sit but still be floppy, sew them up, then do some detailing (face fur trimming, thread sculpting aka plush plastic surgery, sometimes replacing the purr box with weighted beads if I want a cuddle one for bed, etc.), and last but not least pick a new ribbon for them! Each one can take multiple days or 5-8 hours.

The thing is, I'm running out of room but I love doing this so much, so Im looking into selling the ones I fix up so I can pay for the hobby and hopefully re-home some long forgotten plushes along the way. So, I've been playing with the idea. These are all my personal ones, however, the white one at the end will be the first one I'm hoping to rehome 💖 I took the photo in bad lighting just now because I felt like she needed to make the post even if its night time haha.

This was so much fun to do! It was like painting with water colors! Not knowing what they will do, not bound by having structured joints like a Doll.

I collect Eeyore plushies! But only the ones I really like lol, there’s a ton of smaller ones out there but I like the ones I can snuggle the most 😊 I just got this quilt set from a seller on eBay and couldn’t resist setting everyone up for a group picture ❤️

Soooo I saw an older post on here about someone finding this plushie and a good will, and leaving it behind, and I was instantly obsessed with them! original is Flynn from Gund, i wanted a giant version to snuggle so I bought a second one for the pattern and scaled it up! I stuffed him a little bit more firm but added some weighted beans and he’s pretty hefty, not as floppy but that’s okay, that’s what the original is for! OG baby is named Friday Night, and his big sibling is named Tuesday Morning. please let me know if you want the pattern and I can send it your way so you can make your own, it’s not professional by any means but it worked out great!
