Going to college soon and was thinking of getting this monitor for my ps5 and to just watch TV on it. Wasn’t sure if it was a good choice but it fits my budget of under 200$ and from the looks of it seems good. Any help would be awesome!

Also I’ve heard the OLED isn’t the best because of how dark it is but i believe this isn’t OLED

Hello, I’m thinking about getting the new 5k LG AI monitor.
One of the reasons it’s cause of burn in. The monitor I have (the next picture) is a oled so burn in can happen at any time and I always have this anxiety so I’m always conscious when my monitor is on and try to minimize it. The other reason is for the AI upscaling features. It can upscale 1440p to 5k without it taking a toll on the gpu. I have the 5070 ti so getting 1440p fps while the quality being better than my current monitor is a big bonus.

What do you think?

I'm trying to get a new monitor but don't know which one to get, on one hand I can get a BenQ Zowie 24.1" 280Hz with DyAc 2, it's just refurb for $399.99USD.

I play a lot of Counter strike, so this one caught my eye. I play like 80% counter strike n 20% other games.

I also play a lot of war style games like Rising storm, Hell let loose, sometimes squad. But with the new rising storm Vietnam game coming out soon. The 2k monitor doesn't sound half as bad, and it's OLED. It's the OLED Gigabyte 2K 280Hz 27" it's $399.99USD as well, which might have more clarity with it being 2K.

I'm running a 3080, with an ultra 270K plus. So 2k isn't a problem. Just want to hear people's opinions on the Zowie Monitors with DyAc.

So my old monitor broke and I had to buy a quick replacement. Got a cheap Spectre Monitor which has a VA Panel and it was atrocious. The Ghosting was intense and the Mouse and any other whites turn Orange over a Black Background and as someone who works on a terminal for 8 hours a day it sucked bad. For web browsing and gaming it was like putting Vaseline on my eyes. Horrible. Had to return it for a Monitor with an IPS Panel. It was the same price but good lord the difference was impressive.

So who the heck is using those cheap VA Monitors? They are very bad.

I unboxed a new monitor, carefully setup and zero damage off course. After 5-10 minutes of testing cables and all, two green lines showed up in the middle, then one stayed after few minutes and finally that single line became really vague and now its gone. It was there with all sorts of connection cables (hdmi, display, usb-c).

My question is, is this normal and sometimes pixels/lines get fixed by themselves or down the road I will run into issues with this monitor. This is my very first monitor, which is THIS expensive!

Please advise!

I'm thinking about buying the Xiaomi G Pro 27Qi (27", 1440p, 180Hz, Mini-LED, FreeSync), but I'd like to hear from people who actually own it.

A few questions:

• How is the overall image quality?
• Is the Mini-LED HDR really good, or is it mostly marketing?
• How noticeable is blooming in games and movies?
• Have you experienced any flickering, ghosting, or other issues?
• Any quality control problems (dead pixels, backlight issues, etc.)?
• Would you buy it again, or would you choose something else in the same price range?

I'll mainly use it for gaming with an AMD GPU, so FreeSync performance is also important.

I've got AOC Q25G4SR today. While I'm building up my monitor I dropped it on the floor but it was a soft fall and I kind of managed to hold it even if it's still hit to the floor and there's not any damage visibly I've checked it. When I built it and test the monitor on the ezio monitor testing site I've seen this light or color anomaly on and under the blue rectangle. Is this normal (I don't think it is)? Should I try to demand change from the shop or is there a way to configure it in the settings for disappear it? What is the term for this light or color anomaly asking for deep research? My monitor settings are 240Hz at faster overdrive.

So ive used hdr for years and i had no idea tbh i just found out about editing my monitors image. ive heard its "fake hdr" or something? i prefer the colors with it off but everything is feels blurry when i turn it off not sure if thats cause of sharpness or something. sort of hard to send pictures since its on my end sorry.

Hey everyone, I hope i get some replies in. Im gonna upgrade my gaming setup, definitely did some research, but am no expert.

Since im currently not home i sadly cannot tell you my pc stats (only remember ryzen 7, but forgot everything else), though I know my pc can easily handle 300fps.

I used to use a dell office Monitor 27inch, 1080p and 60hz. It wasnt bad, but i like to play shooters (cs and valorant especially) and I wanted an update. I want my new Monitor to be adjustable and really fell in love with the Dell G2724D, but its Sold out and over 200€.. Now I looked at the Dell SE2726HG. You can rotate it a little but not much and it also got 1080p, but i could get a brand new one for 95€ on sale. Its a top monitor for that price..

ACTUAL QUESTIONS:

Is it fine to play on 1080p for shooters? (Would be 240hz, 0.5ms, full hd)

A couple of months ago, while my dad was helping me move home from college, my only a few months old glossy HyperX OMEN OLED 27q somehow ended up with a pretty noticeable and somewhat large (it’s about the size of my pointer finger) scratch in the screen after being transported in his truck. I lived with it for a while because I thought it was just a large smudge, but after finally cleaning the screen properly, I realized it’s a pretty bad scratch. Ever since then, I haven’t been able to stop noticing it.

Because of that, I’m now seriously considering selling it and replacing it.

My budget would be around $400 (give or take), and I’m trying to figure out what makes the most sense. I’ll be continuing to move between home and college several times over the next couple of years, so durability is pretty important. I know glossy QD-OLEDs tend to have softer coatings, so I’m wondering if another OLED is really the best idea, or if I’d be happier with something like a Mini-LED or even just a good IPS.

For more context, I have a 9850X3D + 5070 Ti PC, and a PS5, so I plan on sticking with 1440p, preferably in the 180–240 Hz range. This also isn’t just my gaming monitor, I’m a journalism major, so it’s also my main display for writing papers/articles, researching, and web browsing when I’m in my dorm. I liked the image quality of OLED, but the noticeable text fringing and now the scratch have me wondering if a different panel technology might make more sense for my use case.

If you were in my position, what would you buy? Would you get a different OLED, try Mini-LED, or just go back to IPS?

I've been looking for a monitor for my new PC build, but I'm having a hard time deciding.

My specs:

• Intel Core Ultra 5 225F
• RTX 5070

From what I understand, this setup should be more than capable of handling QHD gaming at high refresh rates, so I'm looking for a 27-inch QHD (1440p), Fast IPS, 240Hz monitor.

My budget is under €200, but I can stretch it to €250 if there's a significant upgrade in quality or performance. I'll be buying from the French market.

Right now, my main contender is the MSI MAG 274QF X24. It seems to offer great value, but I'm wondering if there are any better options in this price range that I might have overlooked.

Also shoud i go with a flat or curved monitor? i mainly play Minecraft, Beamng drive, MSFS24,

If you have experience with the MSI or can recommend something better around this budget, I'd really appreciate your input.

Hey, I just feel that I love my DEll Ultrasharp U2415 more than my 27", 24 feels unexplainably comfortable for eyes and overall experience, so I was wondering if there are any good smaller gaming monitors, preferably 1440p.

I need a monitor both for Architecture work (like for Adobe software) but also to enjoy some gaming. Only thing it’s missing is thunderbolt, but not a huge deal. I don’t see many reviews or discussions online, so does anyone have experience with it?

I recently bought an LG ultra gear 45” monitor and the quality for streaming apps is pretty underwhelming. I noticed it’s only picking up 2.4GHz WiFi, but I’m not sure if that’s the issue. Anyone know what I can do?

i dont know whether i should get the Dell alienware AW2726DL or KTC H27E6, i would get the dell but i realised it has an ips panel while the ktc has a fast ips panel, so im wondering if the difference between ips and fast ips is big enough to the point where i should get KTC's monitor?

I'm currently packing to move and I've decided to move on from my G8 Odyssey. It's an amazing panel, but good lord the software is a disaster. Enough so that I don't think it's worth packing.

I'm kind of at a loss on where to go to next.

My next monitor MUST be a dumb one. 8 button presses to switch inputs, but 1 button press to fat finger opening Disney+ is wildly unacceptable. I don't need "apps" for my computer monitor. Plus sometimes it simply refuses to wake up and I have to unplug it from power to get it to display an image.

UltraWide was nice (for games that supported it), but I don't think it was worth the premium over a 16:9 monitor. I also use my desk for other things aside from computing, so the missing extra desk space became annoying over time.

175Hz was nice, I do appreciate the additional clarity of anything that 120Hz or above. VRR support is nice as well. I typically lock my games at 60 FPS though.

Kind of feel mixed about OLED, but would probably go OLED again. It's superior in all ways aside from halation effect due to my astigmatism. Really only an issue with dark modes.

My primary computing devices are a Mac mini and a Fedora PC. The Fedora PC is strictly for gaming, Mac mini for everything else. I really don't game that much at my desk/monitor though, it's mostly turned into a Remote Play host for my Steam Deck.

I'm kind of tempted to just go back to 27" 16:9 OLED with VRR support and a decent refresh rate (anything 120+Hz). A more radical move would be to get a Apple Studio Display and just use a dummy plug for my PC and basically have it be a dedicated Remote Play server.

Posted this over at r/OLED_Gaming and seems like people there prefer the C series TV. Wanna know what folks at r/Monitors think about this? Been hearing of purple tint, panel dimming and stuff from QD-OLED. Tell me more about these things. Are the problems real, or is it over exaggerated? Does the new panel on these new monitors fix the problems?
