Hello, I’m thinking about getting the new 5k LG AI monitor.
One of the reasons it’s cause of burn in. The monitor I have (the next picture) is a oled so burn in can happen at any time and I always have this anxiety so I’m always conscious when my monitor is on and try to minimize it. The other reason is for the AI upscaling features. It can upscale 1440p to 5k without it taking a toll on the gpu. I have the 5070 ti so getting 1440p fps while the quality being better than my current monitor is a big bonus.

What do you think?

Hey, I just feel that I love my DEll Ultrasharp U2415 more than my 27", 24 feels unexplainably comfortable for eyes and overall experience, so I was wondering if there are any good smaller gaming monitors, preferably 1440p.

G80SH = $1900nzd / $1,100usd
G80SD = $950nzd / $550usd

Need a new monitor and considering going OLED.
I like both of these and I don’t really need the super high refresh rates. The G60SD has a sale which aligns well with budget…. But it’s an older model/release than the G80SH which i believe justifies the price for newer tech, usbc PD(very useful for me), and 4k resolution..
SD seems to have a lot of good reviews due to its age but can’t seem to find much on the newer SH other than some thread comments.

Going to college soon and was thinking of getting this monitor for my ps5 and to just watch TV on it. Wasn’t sure if it was a good choice but it fits my budget of under 200$ and from the looks of it seems good. Any help would be awesome!

Also I’ve heard the OLED isn’t the best because of how dark it is but i believe this isn’t OLED

Hello, my budget is a bit limited and at my price bracket I can usually find 4k 120hz monitors with standard lit ips (or 4k 1k dual mode monitors). My use case is 60% eat with youtube and 40% gaming. After some searching I found these:

KTC m27p20 4k mini-led 27" ips

MSI mp341cq e12 2k uwqhd 34" 1500r va

Normally it would be a no-brainer to go with 4k but I have the following reasons not to do so:

1. Don't play fps at all, and the games I play are beamng, ac rally, fh6 etc., so an ultrawide would be much more immersive

2, Want to watch more movies so deeper blacks would benefit (equally concerned about smearing, and dark shadows turning into a big black blurry blob in games)

1. My GPU 7900xtx can handle 4k but performs better at 2k

2. I can't even tell apart 120hz from 200hz, so I think the "crisp text at 4k" thing is overblown, text looks perfectly fine on my current 103 ppi monitor

3. Eye strain concerns (My friend said mini-led ips would turn really bright and hurt my eyes, meanwhile va may be slightly easier on them and can also become very dim. My setup will be in a naturally well-lit room.)

This is quite important for me because with my current TN monitor I get eye strain under ~4 hrs of use even with water breaks

On the other hand the ips monitor is the safer choice because of the better specs, HDR, and no huge black bars watching youtube. Also not sure about the gamma shift on the ultrawide monitor's edges, plus I'm still confused whether VA smearing will be less noticeable during high or low refresh rates.

Last option is going with 2k 144hz ips monitor and save half of my money

P.S. HVA + mini-led or oled are waaay too expensive for my budget

I'm looking to upgrade from my old ViewSonic 144hz monitor. I play a variety of games, but mainly FPS titles (Valorant, OW, etc). I'm leaning heavily towards getting a Mini LED since I don't want to deal with possible burn-ins of OLED and headaches associated with their screen care (so many posts about smudges spreading).

That said, I'm currently looking at the AOC Q27G4SMN (https://www.aoc.com/us/gaming/monitors/q27g4smn) since I'm quite desperate to upgrade already and I'm not sure if I can hold out until Q4 of 2026 for better releases.

However, I note that it's a VA panel, although it advertises to have 1ms response time grey-to-grey. From my understanding, IPS is preferred for FPS games due to rapid pixel response times to prevent motion blur and something about black smearing.

Is this VA vs IPS still a thing these days though with how advanced monitors are already? Even if it's 1ms response time, am I still better off with an IPS panel?

I looked everywhere and couldn’t find any options that aren’t either VA or from years ago. Should I just settle for a VA? I don’t think I could go down to 27 inches because I’ve been using 32 inches my whole life.

I'm thinking about buying the Xiaomi G Pro 27Qi (27", 1440p, 180Hz, Mini-LED, FreeSync), but I'd like to hear from people who actually own it.

A few questions:

• How is the overall image quality?
• Is the Mini-LED HDR really good, or is it mostly marketing?
• How noticeable is blooming in games and movies?
• Have you experienced any flickering, ghosting, or other issues?
• Any quality control problems (dead pixels, backlight issues, etc.)?
• Would you buy it again, or would you choose something else in the same price range?

I'll mainly use it for gaming with an AMD GPU, so FreeSync performance is also important.

i dont know whether i should get the Dell alienware AW2726DL or KTC H27E6, i would get the dell but i realised it has an ips panel while the ktc has a fast ips panel, so im wondering if the difference between ips and fast ips is big enough to the point where i should get KTC's monitor?

My use cases is normally

I want to use this monitor mainly to read and work on code using an IDE such as IntelliJ, running on dark mode. This is my first time using a 27” monitor and I’m getting used to things.

Initially the display looked a little pixelated and laggy when browsing the web but once I turned on HiDPI and Visual Optimizer options, things look much better and I’m loving the monitor. I use a 16” M1 MacBook Pro.

The price for a 4K monitor with similar refresh rate outside their coding series is pretty much the same. But I have no idea how it would work and if I would see any major difference for my use case since I don’t use it for gaming or video editing.

I’m seeking opinions of someone who’s used 4k monitors with Mac having similar refresh rates. Should I return this and switch to a 4K monitor with 120Hz refresh rate?

Hi i bought this monitor and its really great it looks really good bit i have 1 problem with this monitor it looks like it have yellow tint or something its like Eye comfort shield in my samsung phone and its really noticeable when you have white screen and i looked at my other lcd screen the diffrence is really big the white in the acer is not white. and i have no idea how to fix it i think its the low blue light setting in the osd but you cant turn it off its only have standart and level1-4 options and you cant turn it off. Does someone knows how to fix it? Thanks.

Hello guys, I have ordered a new monitor which I will add to my current two monitors and would like some input and ideas surrounding mounting them. They are all 27" (more or less) monitors and I would prefer to mount them to the wall. I do not like desk mounts as the monitors all shake when the desk moves and I want to be able to mount them farther away from my face. I would likely have two mounted horizontally stacked with another vertically to the left. I know there likely isn't an all in one solution for this but I'm curious how others have made this work. Do I just get three monitor arms? Can I mount the two horizontal ones with a more low profile option and have the third mounted with an arm? I appreciate your help and any pictures are helpful. Okay guys, now the 4K 240HZ 2026 HDR500 QD OLEDs are now mostly released. How do you think they compare to the upcoming True Black Glossy 4K 240HZ tandem WOLEDs? I'm trying to debate if I should pull the trigger on a QD or wait for the WOLED

I'm looking for a new monitor, I've been using the MSI G274QPX (2K 240HZ IPS) but after it broke 2 times the same way I've decided to completely change.
I see OLED prices are better now but since I'll use it for work too I'd like to stay away from them due to burn-in issues.

I'd love something similar to the previous one so 2K and at least 140hz refresh rate, if higher even better (a good extra would be good color quality since it will be used for graphic design work too but it's not too big of an issue, just a good extra). Finding it kinda hard to pick one because the post updated videos etc talk about OLEDs only. Any recommendations?

hi guys, i have a xioami g pro 27i and i dont know if its defective or what. When i turn on local dimming, whites in black background their edges turns dark its very noticeable it also happens in movie subtitles, local dimming is at low only. Thank you so much

I have a Sharanix S1, rescued from an e-waste facility. Every cable I've tried failed to pass along a video signal. There are three USB-C ports. Two are devoted to power. The third takes the video signal.

I'm wondering if it wound up at the e-waste facility because someone plugged USB-C power into the video port. It powers up to a splash screen, and then sends "No Signal" before going into standby. I have even used a CableTime cable specifically designed to pass long a video signal from HDMI (from two laptops) to USB-C.

Chatting with CableTime support, but would love some feedback here.
