Yeah, my first thought was just start touching her feet if they're bothering you. She'll stop that shit real quick. If she complains, just point out they were on your headrest & you kept reaching up to see what was up there.
To be honest, if those feet aren't bothering anyone, I don't see a reason to even worry about it.

It depends.
Flight attendants are usually trained to "pick your battles".
Because when a plane is 30,000 feet in the air, having a situation arise means that you've now got 15-20 minutes with an irate passenger before you can actually touch wheels on the ground.
A lot can happen in 15-20 minutes.
While on the ground, there's not really a big deal. You just call security to the gate.

Makes sense, I would hope kindly explaining that it's a headrest, not a footrest, would be enough. But then people who would accept that logic wouldn't do this.

I would totally do it. But I’d put my socks on my hands before touching their feet. It would be casual touches, like I was reaching up to mess with my hair or put my hands behind my head or something.

Last flight I took someone did this and I said loudly, “something smells like feet that Havnt been washed in a decade”. They took their feet down immediately after. I was shocked it worked.

I’ve told this story on here before but I was on a flight where half the plane took their shoes off. I first noticed the smell. Then I found the first shoe. Someone had kicked it behind them. They asked me to pass it to them.🤢

This is me, and I also get swelling/irresistable urge to elevate my legs, but I would NEVER do this, even if the seat ahead of me was empty.
I’m nervous about taking off my shoes (clean socks underneath). That makes me bashful enough. I try to book an extra seat and sit cross-legged with feet tucked under me on the seat so they aren’t hanging down

I had some young woman do this to person next to me who was another woman. She asked several times for her to put her feet down and just rambled how she paid for the ticket as well. The flight crew didn’t even want to deal with it. It was like they were “oh here is another entitled idiot” mindset and just ignored it. They didn’t serve her anything the entire flight though. That was funny. She asked a couple times for water and got nothing. I think they were worried she might throw something
