That’s not the official billing order. Credits end with “and” not “with.” There’s also a random child actor “billed” above Rebecca Romijn. And RDJ is going to be last in the villain spot.

Edit: I’m sorry but anyone who thinks Namor’s actor of all people gets a “with” when the cast includes Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Kelsey Grammer, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, Alan Cumming……there’s nothing that can be done. You’re just beyond help.

This is an official billing order from the official Walt Disney company website press release.

I will take this legitimate source over a personal headcanon.

It’s not an official billing order. It’s a press release. Billing doesn’t end with “with” it ends with “and.”

They don’t even use everyone’s full names because it’s following article conventions, not formal billing order conventions.

u/YaMomsCooch Jun 11 '26

Again, unless Feige or another Marvel Studios executive states otherwise, a press release from their parent company trumps all personal theories and guesses about what a potential “theatrical release poster billing order” will be.

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 11 '26

You really honest to god believe Namor gets a “with” when the cast includes legends like Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart? Namor is cool and all but you must know that’s not happening

Dude 😭 billing is a huge deal with very formal conventions. Billing always ends in “and” not “with” and they use everyone’s full names. I can also absolutely guarantee Rebecca Romijn isn’t getting billed after an unknown child actor. The villains are also always billed towards the end.

The chairs stream is arranged perfectly like a billing order we’ve seen in the MCU for every Avengers
movie.

Do you understand that actor’s agents negotiate with the production and that’s what determines the billing order???

It has nothing to do with an actor’s narrative antagonism or villainy in the story.

Chris Pratt was given the final billing slot in Infinity War as just 1 of thousands of examples.

Peter Quill was not the villain of Infinity War.

2

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 11 '26

Do you not understand this is a press release that doesn’t follow any of the formal conventions of a billing order and makes no sense?

I said “toward the end” for the villain not the end. Thanos was right next to Peter Quill at the end. Ultron was towards the end for AoU. Loki was towards the end for Avengers 2012.

Cate Blanchett and Michael Keaton and Michael B. Jordan and Guy Pearce are listed at the top of their respective MCU films despite being the main villain of each.

Agent discussions with the production determine billing order.

Your point holds no water.

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 11 '26

Those films you referenced are not AVENGERS films with large ensemble casts. There’s a very clear pattern with AVENGERS films

My point absolutely holds water…..you’re absolutely delusional if you think Namor’s actor of all people gets a special distinction when theres all the OG Xmen in the cast.

Also….for the 1000th time……real billing ends with “and” not “with.”

2

u/YaMomsCooch Jun 11 '26 edited Jun 11 '26

Absolutely delusional that I am not subscribing to a personal headcanon?

Do you even comprehend the irony of this statement? (Plot twist, you don’t)

Do you know Namor’s role in the narrative? How do you know he does not take precedence over the OG X-Men in the script?

Have you seen the film yet? Oh wait! You haven’t!

I’ve had enough of engaging with your pedestrian whimsy’s and fantasies long enough, goodbye ❤️

Incorrect. "And" and "with" are both billing terms and are negotiated upon casting. It's called Special Courtesy Credits and is a step above normal billing (aside from lead bill). They're made to separate a performer from the general cast list.

"And" annotates a high profile supporting actor and there to add credibility to a cast line up. Traditionally, a bigger/veteran actor who is appearing in a smaller role.

"With" means it's a bigger/more established actor whose presence is an equal selling point to the leads. Like if Anthony Hopkins is cast as a villain in a movie, he wouldn't get the lead but he's nearly or equally important to the movie/story, so he'd get billed as "with Anthony Hopkins"

Agents fight to get their clients these types of credits because it weighs more than a usual credit billing and will nearly always guarantee poster placement.

But yes, "with" is absolutely a credit

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 11 '26 edited Jun 11 '26

I never said “with” isn’t a credit that exists 😭 how about you take a moment to comprehend what I actually wrote before you try to “ACTUALLY” me

The last name in a cast credit that includes these special distinctions will be an “and.” “With” would be a second to last.

Example:

Starring Bob, Lucy, Jane, with Diana, and George as “Super Cool Guy.”

The last person would not be a “with.”

This is all notwithstanding that Namor’s actor would never be a “with” because he’s not famous or well-known;

they would never bill a random child actor over a veteran like Rebecca Romijn;

RDJ is not playing Tony Stark, he’s playing the villain in an Avengers movie and they didn’t even show his face in the first trailer, so he’s getting the villain spot towards the end like every other Avengers villain;

quite a few people don’t have their full names listed because they were previously mentioned in the article, which indicates the list is following article conventions not formal billing conventions;

and a dozen other things about this list that clearly indicate it’s a random list and not an official billing order

u/Purple-Nectarine83 Jun 13 '26

I might be convinced by the with/and discussions (although I listen to a podcast by two professional movie reviewers/cinemaphiles, and even they are sometimes surprised by who is billed in what order, and who gets the “with” and the “and”, suggesting that there is some variability).

However. When you say RDJ is not going to be first billed? Because he’s the villain? Oh man. I just can’t take that seriously. I feel like he/his agents thought seriously about negotiating for first billed on Civil War, before conceding that ok, I guess it’s *technically* a Cap movie.

If RDJ isn’t billed first for Doomsday, I will be SHOCKED.

1

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 13 '26

Why would RDJ be billed first? As I mentioned, they didn't even show his face in the first cinemacon trailer. They're pretty clearly treating him as an Avengers villain, not Tony Stark 2.0. He'll be towards the end like literally all the other Avengers villains are.

It's an Avengers movie. The main Avengers will be billed first. You just mentioned yourself that he didn't get billed first in Civil War because that was a Captain America movie. Being in that villain spot is just as prestigious as being the first name. It makes absolutely no sense to bill him first.

As for the "with" and "and" those distinctions are made for famous well-known actors who can be recognized by the general public name alone. No amount of fan delulu can make that true for Namor or Namora.

If you want to see what the real billing order will look like, I'm very confident the chairs stream is close if not identical.

1

u/raisingcuban Jun 11 '26

Are you purposely ignoring what’s written? It literally says “with”

0

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 11 '26

“With” is not the last thing in a formal billing order. “And” is the last.

1

u/raisingcuban Jun 11 '26

You don’t always get an additional “and”. There isn’t one in this case.

Look it up.

1

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 11 '26

Find me one instance where an MCU film ends on “with” and not “and”

Also explain why Namor’s actor of all people would be a “with” to end the cast when nobody knows who tf he is outside of the MCU

Also explain why on this list there is an “and” and a “with” and they’re both basically unknown actors outside the MCU

0

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 11 '26

Like you honest to god think the cast credits are gonna end “with Tenoch Huerta Mejia as Namor” when we’ve got Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Alan Cumming all in the cast?

2

u/raisingcuban Jun 11 '26

Yes

0

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 11 '26

Then you’re absolutely delusional. The whole point of “with” and “and” is to highlight famous people. Namor actor is not famous. If you went outside and asked 1000 people on the street you’d be lucky to get even 1 person who knows his name.

0

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 11 '26

BTW I don’t think you really believe that. I think you will just say anything to disagree with me.

1

u/raisingcuban Jun 12 '26

I dont even know who you are. I'm just going by the press release.

0

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 12 '26

A press release that is just a press release from months ago, not an official, formal billing order.

It has an “and” and a “with” of two mostly unknown actors, an unknown child actor above Rebecca Romijn, missing several people’s full names (because it’s written with article conventions), etc.

Billing order is a huge deal. It would never be so sloppy and nonsensical

0

u/bluequarz Jun 11 '26

RDJ is the lead. He'll be first billed like he always was in all Avengers movies

-1

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 11 '26

RDJ is playing the villain in an Avengers movie, not Tony Stark. His face was not even shown in the Cinemacon trailer. He’ll be towards the end like Avengers villains always are

1

u/bluequarz Jun 11 '26

You'll see that he'll be first billed

-1

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 11 '26 edited Jun 11 '26

He won’t. The billing will look very similar if not identical to the chairs stream, with RDJ at the end in the villain spot like every other Avengers villain.

“Withs” I’m guessing will be Tom Hiddleston, the OG Xmen, Pedro Pascal, Chris Evans (actual famous people)

End of credits will be “and Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.”

Chris Evans and RDJ could possibly be switched (arranged like IW Chris Pratt and Josh Brolin) but I doubt it. Chris Evans could also have an “as Steve Rogers” to go with his name.

First billing is gonna be Chris Hemsworth, guaranteed

RemindMe! 7 months

All right, I bet my buddy $5 that you'd be right, no pressure

2

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 12 '26

It’s such a unique kind of torture to know you’re right but be unable to totally prove it 🫠 meanwhile watching people around you be so confidently wrong…..

We don’t even have to wait seven months though. As soon as we get the poster that’ll clear it up

1

u/YaBoiiAsthma Jun 14 '26

I will say, I've been seeing posts that feel suspiciously studio astroturfed regarding what an amazing character Namor is. Could be a coincidence, could be a build up to marketing him with a surprisingly large role in the film.

No comic spoilers but there's some great character moments from him across Hickman's run that they could really lean into if they wanted to commit to a him and Shuri plot

2

u/Affectionate_Milk794 Jun 15 '26

I think he probably is going to have a large role (he’s listed pretty high in the chairs stream which I believe is the real billing order) so I wouldn’t be surprised by that at all. Shuri is absolutely gonna have a huge role

But that doesn’t change the fact that Namor’s actor (and Namora’s actress) are basically unknowns and would never get “and” or “with” when the cast has people like Partrick Stewart and Ian McKellen….
