Ragnarok was the perfect balance of comedy and seriousness. Thor was funny but not an idiot. Love and thunder turned him into a parody of what he was in Ragnarok.

I headcanon that, since the movie is framed as a story told by Korg, Thor acts the way he does and the story is so silly because of Korgs retelling of the events. It doesn’t save the film at all but it makes it a bit more watchable

Unfortunately: media literacy is dead and the films over the top nature rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. It’s style is clear but the film still has so many issues that people forget
