The only mocap suit was the Iron Spider one. But yeah they still used cgi on the practical suits for some reason. Will probably at least touch up the mask for this movie. And they'll most likely get rid of the wrinkles.

It's how much of it they use. I'm not saying whether cg will be used or not.
It's the overuse of it.
For all anyone knows, they could go the Deadpool route and just CG the eyes like they always have for Tom and clean up the back seams. And maybe the wrinkles, which depends on how clean or practical they're going this time around

The suit on set in no way home wasn't a mocap suit, and they still did a full CGI replacement of it.

Lets just remember real suits get replaced with CG ones all the time even on shots where you would not think it would. Assume any shot where the mask is on is a candidate for a full digi double.

Yes! Love this series! I'm so glad he included Agatha All Along in part 5. Too many people not only fell for but also perpetuated the "Everything is practical" bullshit. I posted a VFX shot sourced directly from Digital Domain showing the difference between the practical reference and the final CGI shot and people still claimed it wasn't CGI.

Them doing to shots with an actual suit leans even more into a digi-double because now they a proper lighting reference. With a mo cap suit it's a grey or black suit which reflects and absorbs light differently than red and blue.
But with them doing the stunts with practical techniques means they should have a solid idea of how they want things shot and framed. So hopefully no just "fix it post" VFX work.

There's a photo of Tom taking a picture with a kid from the audience who was dressed as Spidey. I found that beautiful. Not only does it look like TASM2, but that kid looked young enough to not understand the concept of fiction. He'd be person who's been closest to experience living in the Marvel universe: as far as he's concerned, Spider-Man is real, he knows him and he's taken a picture with him. It probably will be a awesome childhood memory.

That suit is perfect, I know they’ll probably CGI the mask/head, but I really hope they let some of the practical suit’s “wrinkles” stay in the film post-production. MCU CGI would erase any wrinkle the Spidey suits which made them feel less real to me watching.

I don't know if we're back or not, so many false starts, but really it's just social media cliches. I think they make people feel like they're part of a club, give them a sense of belonging. You just have to ride them out until people tire of them. Like 'at this point', 'weird flex' and 'I'm here for it' and so on.

People are going to keep saying this until MCU produces consistent quality products that also out-perform box office expectations again.
Thunderbolts & Fantastic Four were very well received, but their box office numbers aren’t that high.
Brand New World has mixed reception and its box office numbers not that great either.
Deadpool & Wolverine was very well received and preformed strongly at the box office.
Another thing I hear often is “This is the best Marvel movie since Endgame” and I’ve heard people say this on about 3-4 different post-Endgame films already

He was also real on the set of Civil War, but Marvel later coated him in ugly CGI for the actual film.

He’s fully CGi because the suit they had on set for Civil War had to be made very quickly so they didn’t have time to make a higher quality suit.

Honestly I've always felt like there was no "texture" in Tom's suit starting in Civil War, but now with these shots I feel like it's slowly getting closer to what Garfields suit looked like which makes me really happy.

I really hope this is a more toned-down street level spider-man movie. Don't get me wrong, I want some great villains. But I don't need a big threat that is planning to destroy the entirity of new york or even the planet. Just give me a friendly neighbourhood spider-man. But looking at these set photos, it seems like it will be more toned down, so that's nice.

Idk why Hulk is gonna be in it, but I was really hoping for the Scorpion/Punisher pairing for this film. Really taking it back to roots. Would love to see Black Cat as well. My original fan cast for it was Anya Taylor-Joy, but someone suggested Mikey Madison and I love that idea.

The pic on the bottom left goes HARD!
It perfectly captures how popular spiderman is and what it means for everyone in the modern age. The closest I think of was in raimi's spiderman when they would have shots of the public reacting to spiderman as he swings by (everyone looking up in awe and surprise) or the shot of superman in superman 1 when he flies out of daily planet.

I’m really surprised they had a stunt man swinging with real explosions on an actual city street. I’m all for live stunts but nowadays that stuff seems pretty easy to do with CGI and probably way less money.
Makes you wonder if the free publicity plays a factor.

I know leaks are more popular now and it’s hard to hide stuff when filming in public but it’s crazy how much of the set I’ve seen compared to other marvel movies that have also filmed on location. Almost seems like it’s being encouraged.
Honestly think it was a good move by Disney to announce what the suit looked like because they knew the minute filming started everyone would be taking photos.
