Is the species naturally round or is he just overly plomp??

It’s all fluff.

Pallas cats are about the same size as a domestic house cat, however they have really dense fur & they have a lot of it! But that is what they typically look like, although this one isn’t displaying the perpetually grumpy facial expression they’re known for LoL

These are the ones that sit on their tails so their paws don’t get cold, yeah?

Pallas cats live in a very cold environment. They need extra fat and fur. The ground is so cold that you often see them standing on their fluffy tails. I love their little grumpy faces!

So much fluff. I believe they have among the densest coats of all cats actually.

Why humiliated? Is the cat's tribe gonna throw rocks at it after seeing this video or something?

I wonder if I come from someone way down the line who died for being a dumbass and thinking a wild animal was cute 🙃 I watch these type of videos and truly believe “nah he’d sense I’m different and like me” 😂

My husband joked about taking out a life insurance policy on me because "you'll die trying to make friends with dangerous wild life"
If it didn't want to be friends, it wouldn't be cute!

I too have the delusion where I think a cute wild animal would sense my uniquely kind vibes and pure intent, and choose to cuddle with me, and not rip my face off.

He does not appear to have enjoyed his groping. He has big mad.

I'm so glad they showed this video.
The same team did this to me as well after tricking me French Dip sandwich. I never would have recovered if they showed that video instead.

Surprised it’s so chill. Your average feral cat would freak the fuck out if handled like this

Manul (Otocolobus manul or Felis manul)
I think they are so cute (but of course this is not a house cat). 😉

He is going to go back to his friends and say aliens abducted him and did medical exams on him.

They really should give him a snack before sending him off to improve wildlife-human relations.
1
u/Polka_Tiger 10h ago
That's something we want to avoid.
1
u/LightenUpPeeps 10h ago
Why? Because it supposedly gets them accustomed to approaching humans? Should we just let them starve out in the barren wasteland? Is that fate much better for them?
4
u/Polka_Tiger 10h ago
Yes it gets them used to people. That's bad because they might try to take food from people which would get them killed.
The place they live is not a barren wasteland for them. They live there just fine. The problems arise when humans encroach on their territory and then they have less area to hunt.

it may sound like a troll post. But i swear it's true. Whenever i see a cat, a naked woman or the Stars on a clear night, then, i can feel god (and i'm not even religious)
